We have been coming to this Rubio's for a long time for their taco Tuesday. When we first started coming the food was fine but the restaurant was kind of dirty and the workers weren't very friendly but there was a change a couple months back. Juan is there now: restaurant super clean. The staff looks like they enjoy working there and the food is yummy! I was even shocked the bathroom was much much cleaner than before. If I could give a zero star ! I would I ordered a fish slider and 2 fish meals . I was hoping our meals were good what an epic fail . So the fries weren't cooked thetartar sauce had big hunks of jalapeños. So I decided to call the host that took my order was excellent and extremely nice . We ordered for delivery a steak salad and a steak burrito....but when we got them there was virtually no meat! The salad was good although it didn't have the steak in it I paid for, and the "steak" burrito was mostly beans and rice. Considering I paid $55 with delivery charge for these two items it was not a good deal. I recently enjoyed a meal at Rubio's Coastal Grill in Norco (located in the same plaza as Mc Donalds) and thought it was a solid spot for fresh, Baja-inspired Mexican food. It has been awhile since I have had their food like since college so decades ago. I love their Original Fish Tacos and always go back to this every visit! Delicious crispy fish with delicious sauce. Adding their hand-made guacamole and fresh salsas on my crispy taco was extra good. The service here at this location was good and staff was efficient in taking my order and delivering my food to my table. While portions and pricing can feel a bit variable, they often have some good sales so it is always good to pop into this restaurant once in awhile. Overall, vibe and dining experience is casual and welcoming. I do recommend them refilling the sauces and cleaning up that section more often. read more

Great time I took my mom she's 88 years old ,last Friday and there was a live rock band outside. Seating area even had cooling mist which was very nice because it was a hot day. We ordered off of the happy hour menu for drinks and then we ordered the chicken shrimp and steak fajitas. It was a birthday party that was going on while we were there and everyone's having a great time my mom really enjoyed it. I'll be back soon. It's a great way to spend a Friday evening in the spring and summer months of California as for my mom she really had a great time and enjoyed casual conversation with some of the other people outside. You gotta try this limited time menu item! The langostino lobster burrito, sooo good! Comes with a side of chips. You can also get it in a bowl and in a taco as well. Has langostino lobster, citrus rice, black or pinto beans, guacamole, and salsa fresca all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Really good flavor, not spicy at all. Try before its off the menu, it's only for a limited time! Drink choice, i recommend the Strawberry Hibiscus Agua Fresca. It's not too sweet which i like! Service was great! Its been awhile since I've eaten here, very first experience wasn't good, its been over a decade, so my wife says let's give it a try because there doing fish sandwiches, so here we are, ok the fish sandwich was really good, don't look like the picture but what does, the fish was crunchy and flaky not greasy at all, I got sweetness from the bun and a nice creamy crunch from the red cabbage coleslaw. Avocado tomatillo slaw, the Spanish rice was not hard, the rice was soft and tasted good, the beans seem fresh but a little bit more salt, no big deal I added my own, the lobster tacos where really good, no complaints, my wife had the sweet potato tacos and it was so very hot, she likes spicy but she couldn't finish, tacos where so HOT, overall I would come back and give it a go again, blessings read more

I just got off work and stopped by to grab lunch for myself and my family. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with what seemed to be either the manager or possibly the owner an older Asian woman. I didn't catch her name, but she was extremely judgmental and dismissive toward me. Like anyone coming off a long shift, I wasn't dressed to impress just tired and looking for a quick meal. I didn't realize I needed to go home, fix my hair, and change into my best clothes just to be treated with basic respect while ordering tacos. What stood out even more was how much kinder and more welcoming she was to other customers. I've been going to Rubio's for 20+ years as my family used to work for them many years ago, and I have to give a lot of credit to the Asian lady manager (possible owner?) of this location... she is always SO friendly and energetic which is great to see and feel... and to boot, their food comes out amazingly quick and fresh... I literally had fish tacos burn my tongue the last time I was there, it was nuts! The only knock on this place is that it's pretty small , and the parking lot really sucks... but as far as the restaurant, food, and service goes... 10 stars for sure! read more

I went to Rubio's yesterday and ordered the chicken nachos, steak fries, 1 shrimp taco, and 1 salmon taco. My son ate the 2 tacos and said they were excellent. We are happy that they are gluten free. The hubbs ate the steak fries and said that they were terrible. I had the chicken nachos....the chips were so stale. These were not fresh in ANY way. Tasted like 3 day old chips that had been left out. I picked the toppings off to eat, just so I had something to eat...and the rest went into the trash. I'm sorry, but for $50, at least use fresh chips. This was just lazy and nasty tasting. So if you are going for tacos...my adult son says they are fantastic. But avoid the steak fries and the stale nachos. No bueno. read more

First, I loved them because of their impossible tacos. The Eastvale store was amazing, and then they closed it and left us with the Hidden Valley store. Poor service and food wasn't as good. Then, I decide I'll give the Hidden Valley store another chance and they no longer have impossible tacos, but I was gonna try the sweet potato tacos. Saw the Rubio's sign from the street and decided to have lunch there. It had been a while since I've had Rubios and I've never been to this location. Not the best idea. To start, as soon as you walk in the door, you get this sewer smell. Not sure what was going on, but it was a stench. I was going to get my food and go. As I wait for my food, I go get my drink. I get coke from the soda fountain and it had a nasty taste. Their syrup needed to be replaced. I threw it away and got some lemonade instead. Well, what do you know? The lemonade tasted like it was fermented. That was weird. It was full like it was either fresh or like no one drinks it. I dump the nasty lemonade and rinse my cup. I don't know what to get at this point. I try their raspberry Iced tea, which at this point, also tasted kind of funny. I'm not sure if it was because of the other drinks or if maybe it was the water line. Needless to say I just threw the drink away and had some water that I already had. Back to the food. The tacos were good. The experience and drink weren't . I don't think I'll be returning to this location. read more

Visited Rubio's in Corona,CA recently. Since the one in Eastvale shut down, I gave this location a try. Food came out quickly and service was good. Salsa Bar was stocked. Seems like they forgot to the Salsa Fesca in the burrito and there was so little Gucamole in that burrito. Nothing like the advertising. For a $14 burrito, leaves more to be desired. The Chipotle that isn't too far from here, ruined any and everything about a rice bowl/burrito bowl unfortunately. So I've stayed away from any type of place that offered that type of food, unless it was a REAL Mexican restaurant. This Rubios is understaffed and has a little A-Frame stand out front stating they are doing interviews daily from 2 to 6pm. But that didn't stop the wonderful, friendly staff from doing their job AND the right way.. First, our food..I ordered the Cali Bowl with chicken and my goodness was it delicious! Fresh ingredients, fresh guacamole, good portion, and the chicken was outstanding. That chipotle sauce too. It wasn't swimming in sauce, everything was so good and the way it was prepared, showed they actually cared..unlike some other places *cough* Chipotle. Onto my husband's burrito..he ordered the Especial Steak Burrtio and of course I had to have a bite. The tortilla alone was sooo good lol. The steak pieces were big and tender and juicy. Definitely a good, hefty burrito. But back to the employees working. I want to say THANK YOU! You did such a phenomenal job. You let everyone know you're understaffed, you also apologized and kept us all updated as to when our orders would be ready. Sure it took a little extra time, but that didn't stop you from making a delicious lunch for us. Sean was our cashier and a woman that seemed like a manager type was keeping us updated. Food was great! I called ahead to check for fish beer battered tacos! They had them! The server who answered the phone and took my order was polite knowledgeable and patient. I swore I took me so long to describe the tacos because I forgot the name and she knew and even recommended which tortilla she likes! The store was clean and everyone was working. Keep in mind, these California bowls are not that cheap and this is how much chicken I get?! There were literally 5-6 pieces of chicken. BEWARE! If vegan or vegetarian. I'm well aware that there are risks to ordering food from a restaurant that prepares poultry. Corona/Norco is limited to plant based options in the area. Regardless, if you don't agree with plant based options. I don't judge others for eating and or choosing what they eat. Do what you want, I'm not paying for your meals. The complain I have about this particular Rubio's is the person that prepared my "impossible salad" (meat that is plant based) intentionally added chicken to my salad. The salad that I've ordered several times. Impossible meat is placed on top , where you visually see it along with avacado, beans, corn, tomatoes and green iceberg lettuce. While half way through my salad, I took a bite out of chicken chunks that I believe were put at the bottom of the salad. Not sure why this was done ? Maybe the cook was having a bad day, I don't know. I got a hold of the manager and her she replied with oh well I'll give a refund ! That's all ?!!' Of course she could care less. Many people can care less about what they eat and or consume. Not even aware like many, where their food comes from. Rubio's is the go-to spot for some relatively healthy Mexican food. Food is bomb, service is friendly and the wait doesn't take forever. Did I mention they serve beer and sangria? It's lit! The best thing to get from here is the tacos for sure. The ingredients taste fresh and it definitely fills you up without making you feel disgustingly full. The shrimp tacos are amazing and so are the street tacos, no matter what meat you get! The Original Fish taco is massive; I personally never eat more than one. It was fried to dark brown perfection without being too greasy or over cooked; juicy and flavorful but a little steep at $3.50 each. Still worth it. Don't forget to stop by the salsa bar next to the soda machine because their sauces make these already good tacos even better. I would definitely recommend going here for lunch or dinner, whenever you're down to eat a good meal. I've been coming to this location for over a year now and never had a bad experience. Rubios is a great establishment that has relatively healthy food. When I arrived everyone was friendly and the waited was absolutely awesome! We shared a few laughs. The manager is also very kind! Cool vibes! Very clean inside from the main area to the salsa bar. The way it works here is that you walk in and order your food and they will bring your food to your table--unless you decide on it being a to go order. I ordered a burrito especial vegetarian style. There is a salsa bar that has a few different levels of heat as salsas go. I don't mind hot sauce as long as I can still enjoy the food and not ruin my taste buds--as it aids with circulation and digestion. I really enjoy the tomatillo sauce which is a mild heat with cilantro and a hint of garlic. Overall, It was quite tasty and I enjoyed it!
