Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the food came out super quick. I also have to highlight the sides. I am fully convinced they serve the best beans on planet earth! The staff is super friendly, and the overall atmosphere is completely relaxed with a great Baja kind of feel. Whether you're looking for a quick, filling meal or just want to kick back in a great environment, this location hits the mark perfectly. You really can't beat the quality of the food combined with such solid service. Disappointed After 5+ Years I've been coming to Baja Fish Tacos for over 5 years. I originally started going to the Santa Ana location off Bristol and always loved it. Even after moving farther away, I've continued making the 20-30 minute drive to the Norco location because it was usually worth it. Unfortunately, my most recent visit on my birthday with my kids was very disappointing. I ordered the carne asada platter, and the meat was extremely dry and honestly looked and tasted like it may have been leftover from the day before. For the price, I expected much better quality. Taking the whole family here can easily cost around $120, so when you're spending that kind of money, you expect the food to be fresh and worth the drive. It's disappointing because I've been a loyal customer for years and have always recommended Baja Fish Tacos. I ordered the grill fish tacos with black beans and rice along with chips and guacamole for the family. My daughter also ordered fish tacos but with a salad, and my husband got a cheese enchilada and a blackened fish burrito. The salsa bar was fantastic, and despite being very busy for a Sunday afternoon we all receive our food quickly and served with a smile. Come here for girls night and there are an abundance of tables available. We order food and eat and chat and catch up. The atmosphere is moderately loud so we aren't too loud but it is fun to hang out here. There is a refillable soda machine, a salsa bar and the food is delicious! Will definitely be back! read more

If you walk into a Mexican restaurant and the majority of the customers and employees speak Spanish, you know the food has to be authentic and good. The restaurant is gated and has its own big parking lot. We got there early and were able to park right in front, and when we walked inside there were only a couple of people ahead of us in line which gave us time to try and figure out what we wanted. It's a standard fast food place where you walk up to a counter, order and pay for your food, get a number, and the food is brought to the table of your choice. The restaurant is fairly big for a fast food restaurant with plenty of seating both inside and out. We chose to sit inside and it was clean and modern. The food portions are large, so even though I thought I could finish my veggie burrito, I ended up taking half of it home. There's an open salsa bar next to the fountain drinks, so you can get whatever salsas and drinks you want and come back for more. I ended up getting 2 different salsas and it made my burrito even better. I went back to get more for the half I couldn't finish and would eat at home. First time at Baja... I got the Ensenada fish tacos because my friends said they were known for it. They were good, 5-star Ensenada fish tacos. Ambiance was good, a few TVs etc... we got there at 11 and by 12 the place was packed with people on their lunch break. Great parking lot that looked clean and safe. I ordered baja style and the sauce had no taste (I wasn't told about the salsa bar and since I didn't order a drink I didn't go that way) A salsa might had made a difference in such a bland taco, and I was a bit thrown off by the rectangular "fresh fish" and the breading just nothing as expected. We frequent Baja at least once a week and the food is always fresh and the employees are always very nice! Nowadays it's so rare to go somewhere and be treated nicely, but BAJA always pulls it off. Sadly Baja Fish Tacos has made a decision to remove the blackened chicken from their menu, it's hard to believe, it's the best chicken I've ever had, and what I would order multiple times per week. I won't be making the drive here any longer as I don't care for the charbroiled chicken, it's flavorless and cubed. Seriously sad about this! If management sees this please bring it back!!!!!! If anything get rid of the charbroiled chicken since it has zero flavor and keep the blackened chicken. I think one thing that may have prevented sales was the fact that the blackened chicken comes with fish taco toppings that don't go with chicken so maybe people didn't order it because of that, switch it to regular toppings on the menu. This is a great restaurant do t get me wrong, if you like beef or fish / shrimp they have it, everything is always fresh. I've been eating at this place in all its locations going back over 20 years, first location I went to was off of Bristol, then Irvine then Lake Forest For me, I just lost my absolute favorite place to eat and it sucks, it's still an amazing place with other options but I don't eat seafood or red meat.
