I was in VA for the day and was really craving pasta. We decided on Rubino's Pizzeria, and they definitely didn't disappoint! I kept it simple and ordered spaghetti with marinara sauce and a side of garlic knots. Both were absolutely amazing. The marinara sauce had tons of garlic flavor, which I liked a lot and the knots were equally good. Soft, not overcooked and tasted great. Kinda wish I had pictures to share, but I went full on savage on the food! Another note: I didn't realize Rubino's was part of a chain, as I tend to spend my dollars locally, but I would definitely eat here again. Happy eating, my foodies! read more

I have long been told by friends to go here and almost disregarded it, thinking it was just a dingy bar with good pizza but it's so much more than that. The bar is clean and the menu is comprised of a large variety of options. It seems like one of those places that could get a bit crowded as the Ashburn/Broadlands folks search for reprieve on a weekend evening from the One Loudoun crowds but still could probably handle the large amounts of customers. They also make a surprisingly better Old Fashioned than I would have expected them to make. I'd love to see them graduate from just Angustura but otherwise, it's a top notch Oldie. read more

This place fills a niche that is severely lacking in Ashburn: a mid-range, casual, affordable, family restaurant. I think their Philly cheesesteak is the best in town. My kids and wife like the pizza. I also get the wings often. The extra star comes from a rotating tap list that features some really good beers. Most "tap houses" around here feature static beer lists with all the usual, mid "craft" beers. Rubinos is bringing in the Veil, Spyglass, Maine Lunch and Dinner, Ocelot, Aslin, as well as others. I'll update this review to reflect a few good visits. We've been a few more times because they are in our neighborhood and have had a good experience lately. The food is generally good, it's not amazing but it's not bad. The cocktails and beet selection are very good. The service ranges from fine to great (depending on your server). The facility is still very good and is probably the restaurant's best quality. Overall, I'd say 3.8 out of 5 but I'll round up to 4. read more

I didn't know what to get because it had been a long day already so I was looking to this place as a 'solis' but instead I was met with the big man telling me to 'fuck off' and get 'the fuck out' because I changed what I wanted from my order. I ordered the bbq chk salad and I wanted a dry chicken on it. I shouldve maybe said dry but I thought since I've ordered it twice before, it wouldn't be an issue. well, the first round salad as and then I saw the cook just taking the chicken off instead of making me a new salad, which is appropriate, then the big guy came out to give me the 2nd sound of my salad and it was wrong, again and instead of guiding me like real customer service, he was a real piece of work. if you eat here, you might need to serve yourself. A step above 'Jersey Mike's' and on par with Olive Garden's salads. The 'Pizza' was a bit uninspiring but it could've just been one of those days. Rubino's used to be a reliable go to neighborhood pizza and sub shop. The owner has done some major renovations to convert half the restaurant into a sports bar. All that looks great but the pizza we ordered this time was very bland, literally no flavor where in the past, it was pretty decent pizza for Ashburn. I'm not sure why the drop in taste. The tomato sauce and cheese had no flavor whatsoever. I hate to say this because I used to come more frequently and this was my first visit in a while. Maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen for pizza. I didn't have anything else so don't want to be unfair and say everything wasn't good. But the 2 stars is just for the pizza. As far as service goes, the staff seem attentive and the food comes out fairly quickly. But this is basically you order yourself, find a table and they'll bring the food out to you. read more

On Friday November the 22nd I placed an order at the take out side and I should have apologized for showing up. The cashier was miserable and unpleasant as I placed my order, paid, and then it taken 15 minutes for her to place the order with the kitchen. The issue was with one employee not Rubino's. We eat out multiple times every week and we had high hopes for Rubinos new sports bar/restaurat. However, their bartender on more than one occasion has been unpleasant. Bad customer service from her. She seems to have no time to talking to you and seems bothered by any question you have. The food is just not great. They are struggling to be anything other than a pizzeria. We gave it 3 chances but truly even though it's so close to our home and we wanted to make it a neighborhood spot, it will be a long time until we maybe give it another chance. We have ate here numerous times and had great food but today we were really disappointed with how we were treated. We got a cheesesteak and the meat tasted awful - we come here specifically for the cheesesteak so it was surprising to us that it wasn't good. I spit it out at first bite. My husband couldn't eat it either. We sent it back and the response we got was a head shake and "we sell thousands of these". They still refunded us but at that point we just decided to leave - it really didn't matter to them about getting it right and that was disappointing. Especially because we come here so often. It doesn't matter if they sell thousands, if ones not right - it's important to fix it. I hope they're able to fix it for next time but we'll think twice before coming back next time. read more

We have ordered from Rubino's multiple times; I would venture to say that we're one of their best delivery customers. Their cheesesteaks are amazing but I'm done ordering. The first time that we ordered a hand tossed pizza, it arrived under baked. The next time we ordered a pizza, we asked for the crust to be well done and it came burnt-it was inedible. Today was the third strike! I ordered three cheesesteaks and a small cheese pizza for my grandkids. When I opened the pizza lid, it was obvious that the driver either dropped the pizza or took a corner so sharp that the cheese slid to one side. I called Rubinos and asked to speak to a manager but there was no one there in a supervisory position. I gave my name and phone number; I was told that I would be called within a couple of hours. Location is great and the new bar they added is very nice, great for watching sports. Sit in the booths if you want good service, the bar area is severed by the bartenders on duty. U fortunately the bartender that was working the bar area the six times I visited I a 30 day period seemed only interested in serving the people she knew. With 6-8 people sitting at the bar it took her 15-20 minutes to serve us at a table. And she was cold and unwelcoming. She took drink orders but did not ask for food. When she eventually came back to the table she took away dishes but did not ask if we wanted another drink. She was very attentive to select few of her customers. I would understand this from a neighborhood bar that had been around for several years, but Rubinos only added the bar in Feb of this year. Hopefully some of the wait staff get promoted to bartenders, they really seemed to understand the concept of customer service. read more

Pasta was pretty terrible. It was a little TOO "al dente" and the chicken tasted like frozen pre cooked chicken. It definitely had a very distinct taste and texture that was definitely not fresh cooked chicken. I'd be shocked if it was cooked there at all. That's really sad because the pasta was not cheap. We never get a bad pizza from Rubino's but pizza is one of those things people have different opinions about. I love their crispy, thinner crust and the Margherita is our go-to here. We always get that + a pepperoni + a Greek Salad. I didn't give 5 stars because our Greek Salad feels like it's made different each time. Some times it has artichokes and sometimes there are just a few olives and cucumbers. I don't think it's supposed to have artichokes or cucumbers but it's a bonus when we get the extras though. read more

Good steak and cheese. Pizza needs work. Bought a medium NY style pizza with half broccoli, chicken, and onions and fresh garlic on the whole pizza. Got home and opened, what I would call a sauce-less, water dripping pie. There was more water dripping off of the pizza than tomato sauce. Also, what's with the golf ball sized gobs of garlic on the pizza? Might be just me but I'd rather have it spread out. I don't think a lot of people would like a mouthful of garlic when they take a bite of pizza. I ordered a Sicilian pizza, a slice or margarita and onion rings to go. I have never been more disappointed eating a pizza in my life. The square pizza had so much sauce on it, it wasn't even edible. The toppings I paid extra an extra 4$ for were barely there. The cheese to sauce ratio is not compatible. The cheese also tastes like rubber. I thought surely the margarita would be better. Nope. It tastes like it's thrown together from a can of sauce and poorly made. Maybe 4 cheese pieces on it. The onion rings... well the were soggy as hell and not crispy like they should be. Had to put them back in my air fryer to make them edible. Pizza is usually good regardless but this is not even edible. I would not recommend it. You're better off with little Caesar's or dominos. read more

I have been their loyal customers for over 3 years (owner Rubino did not care about this) and was treated like I don't matter, the owner talked to me so arrogantly as though He can do without my business, I am sure he would do that to anyone. This was my favorite pizzeria until I talked to the rude owner because their pizza dough was tough today. He was yelling at me on the phone, rudely kept yelling and told me to go call Pizza Hut. Clearly, Mr. Rubino or whoever was the owner tonight is an ignorant owners who does not have a clue on how to treat or value a paying customer. I've never been treated with such disrespect.
