Until we tried to use our internet. It was spotty at best. I reached out to the customer service tech who told me to buy a wireless booster - $40 later and it did absolutely nothing. after a month of bad service, with no change to the crappy service, I tried to have someone come out to the house and see what the problem is. I was told on the phone that our house was out of their service area and it probably wouldn't improve. SO - not only did they knowingly install service outside their area, but then sent me to collections because I didn't want to pay for someone to uninstall all the equipment and close out the account... After the experience, I reached out to others and apparently this is not uncommon at all for RTC.

When I tried calling the local office, someone with an accent started screaming at me. I asked to speak to someone in the local office, and he started yelling asking if I thought Windstream started in Dalton Ga. He just kept screaming that I needed to call customer service and hung up on me. I called same number back and he went straight to yelling and screaming telling me not to ever call that number again, and then hung up. I didnt get to say anything. A couple of c/s ppl have helped, but when you have talked with 20 of them and only 2 tried. Thats bad.

Asking a person to reverse these charges is near impossible.. also my service would lag a lot, and randomly go out, taking up to 10 minutes each time to reconnect. The charge of $128 a month is ridiculous. I wouldn't use them if you have another choice.

Count on having your favorite TV show or whatever you really want to watch to freeze or the app quits working and you have to restart it. When you finally get fed up and decide to cancel the service, be prepared to spend an hour-plus on the phone, five-minutes of conversation and the remainder is horrendous repeat-stanza music (payback for canceling the crap service). Plus, you have to pay in full for the entire service period - no reduction in billing for time not used - or call back on the end-of-service date. There is no mention of this rip-off billing policy when you subscribe to this service. NO CONTRACT, NO PROBLEM. WE HAVE OTHER WAYS TO SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY AND MAKE YOU REGRET CUTTING OUR SERVICES!!!
