Adam was super responsive and a great communicator. After scheduling a quick visit, they sent me a quick written bid that was clear and straightforward and priced very well and fair. They only recommended replacing what was needed. They said my patio and garage roof was fine and they advised that I only replace the roof for the main 2,000 sq. Ft house which saved me money. I have a great friend nearby who is a general contractor and he came by to inspect the work first hand as well and confirmed they did great. Adam all the paperwork, city inspections and their fees, he was in touch every day with me to update me on progress and the job was done on time and as scheduled. They cleaned up well and it was problem free! They did some extra cleaning of skylights, touch up painting of gutters and even removed some wasp hives for free!

I have a very unusual roof (the whole roof is a flat, walkable roof deck) and Mel, the Nema rep, said they couldn't repair this type of roof because they wouldn't be able to warranty it. Despite that, he stayed and talked with me for about 20 minutes, offering ideas of other decking sealants that could be used, other companies I could contact, or even the possibility of DIY-ing it myself. I'm always SO grateful when companies actually listen to what I want and give me different options. Mel seemed honest and genuine and SO knowledgable about roofs, and I'd love to work with them in the future.

I couldn't get a lot of information from the other roofers until Daniel and his partner inspected my roof. Daniel provided a report and photos supporting that my roof tiles were not installed properly previously by the solar contractor. He also verbally explained to me in detail that some tiles were installed upside down and some tiles installed while cracked, which caused water to enter the roof underlayment and damaged it over time. In addition, he also caught exposed electrical wires on the roof which could cause severe risk and major hazard to us. From Daniel's report, photos, and detailed explanation, I trusted his work immediately and had his company fix our roof. My husband and I were very happy with the work that Daniel and his crew did. We had him install a new roof to my in-law's house as well. I definitely recommend Daniel and his team to anyone as they are very honest and knowledgeable.

Throughout the process, the owner (Abraham) has been on site reviewing the work, and they have been in contact with the city on our behalf regarding permits and all the red tape. I received quotes from 6 different businesses, but Competition Roofing stood out as the best. From the initial quote, Kyle, the owner, walked me through their whole process. I had a few flashing issues that was making a badly installed window leak and he made certain that they would be addressed during the re-roof. Their pricing came out second lowest of the 6 companies I received quotes from. However, Kyle's communication and praise from other reputable contractors convinced me to roll with them. I wanted the roof done correctly, not necessarily for the lowest dollar amount. Once I signed on, Kyle was there throughout the entire process. He took care of permitting, informed me of when inspectors would show up, and even called to ask if I would like to be moved up on the schedule. I was impressed--I rarely come across contractors that are great communicators. Our new roof took 4 days. Kyle laid out exactly what would happen during each day. He was onsite during the tearoff and walked me through any small issues he saw, such as a few pieces of rotted plywood. The crew Kyle worked with was excellent. Each day, they cleaned up thoroughly and even took in my trash cans on garbage day! What kind of contractors go above and beyond like that? On their final day, one of the workers proudly showed me a video of the roof. I love it when people take such pride in their jobs. After installation, Kyle returned to do a full walk around with me to make sure all of the issues we had previously discussed in the quote were addressed (they were!). Overall, I cannot recommend Competition Roofing highly enough. They are true professionals in their communication, execution, and operations (yes, they are licensed and insured!). There were no pressure tactics, no mysterious charges, and no issues throughout the whole process. I can only hope that I find other companies that are as professional and skilled as they are when my next home project comes around.

I had an appointment with him to see why my roof was leaking near my skylights -- right on top of my bed, mind you. :( Lorenzo was always prompt in calling me back and texting me. He was also on time for our appointment, which is rare these days. Very courteous and professional. You can tell this guy cares -- another rarity in today's world. Even my kitty cat liked him. My kitty usually hides when someone new is in the house, but she went right up to him and gave him hugs and kisses. And I KNOW she senses things we humans can't. Lorenzo went up on top of my roof and assessed the situation. Beware: there are plenty of businesses that give you quotes from photos only, then charge you way more when it's time to do the job. Lorenzo gave me a full written assessment and explanation of the situation and what exactly needs to be done, with parts, costs, and total time for completion. From the very beginning, when we contacted him for our first roof repair on one of our properties, he was extremely professional and went above and beyond. He even climbed into the ducts to track down where the leaks were coming from inside the house before heading up to the roof. He took detailed pictures and explained everything thoroughly, step by step. He was the first contractor to inspect our roof, and he set the bar incredibly high. After two other companies came out, it was clear that Lorenzo was a cut above the rest. His customer service was outstanding, and honestly, there was no way I wanted to work with anyone else after meeting him. On top of that, his pricing was very competitive. I was blown away that a full roof replacement could be done with such reasonable costs. Just this past weekend, he also did repairs on another one of our properties, again, super professional. He even schedules small repairs on weekends to make sure his clients are taken care of. His communication is excellent; he responds personally by text and keeps you updated every step of the way. His team works efficiently, and the whole process feels seamless. If you need any roofing services, call Lorenzo at LVM Roofing. He is hands down the best in the IE.
