    Green chicken curry
    Ippnmi I.

Very disappointing! Food got delivered in cold. Looked like they've been sitting in the freezer for quite some time. I had to reheat everything, which I didn't mind but all the finger foods are too soggy and chewy that even my air fryer couldn't help much. As one of the main dish, I ordered Green Chicken Curry. It was green chalky, some kind of thick paste stuff that I couldn't even heat it up. That thing went to straight to the trash can. $110 bye bye There are a lot more to say but long story short, foods are total embarrassment. I heard a good story about this catering place a few years ago. Maybe the pandemic did something to them?? I don't know. All I can say is ' Spend your money wisely. Don't waste'

    Salted caramel wedding cake
    Laura W.

I attended a group tasting at RSVP Catering as I was considering them to cater my upcoming summer nuptials. The tasting was scheduled from 6-8pm, with cocktails featured from 6-6:30 with a formal sit-down dinner following. I really enjoyed the feature cocktail-"Honey, I do". It had ginger and honey with champagne and a few other ingredients I cannot recall. We were not going to have cocktails at our wedding anyway so this was basically a bonus and a nonfactor in my decision to ultimately not hire RSVP. During the cocktail hour, hors d'oeuvres were passed around by servers. Unfortunately, the servers were not very good at ensuring everyone was able to taste all the items. Constantly servers would walk by us and go to the front and return with empty trays. Finally, we began stopping servers if we were not in mid-conversation in order to sample most of the items. These were my favorite part of the tasting. I loved the tomato basil macaroon- very savory- and the ahi tuna ramen cup. The spicy chili chicken meatball on a spoon was also a favorite. Believe it or not, I was not much of a fan of the pulled pork on the mini donut. I was unable to try the mini pulled pork taco as it never made it to my area of the room. I enjoyed how the meal portion of the tasting was set up as it would be for a wedding. The salad was their winter salad featuring pear, pomegranate seeds, and a vinaigrette. The entree choices were either a short rib with celery puree or a vegetarian gnocchi with asparagus. The short rib was not as tender as I would have liked. The celery puree was a nice complement though. I did not try the vegetarian dish. Bread was also passed around but was nothing of note-fruit breads, Italian, pretzel rolls, and cornbread. The cake we tasted was quite delicious-salted caramel with vanilla icing. What I disliked the most about this tasting was that none of the items that I would have chosen for my reception meal were available for tasting. It was hard to base my decision on a meal I would never have served at my reception. I understand they do a group tasting to save time/money, but it is quite impersonal and I could not commit to a caterer without having tried the entrees I wanted to serve. This is the main reason why we chose a caterer where we did a personalized tasting and sampled the meals we have ultimately decided to serve to our guests. It's not that I would not recommend RSVP catering, but I would definitely consider whether or not you feel comfortable committing to a caterer without actually sampling your specific entree choices.

    Octonauts Theme
    E H.

RSVP Catering catered for my nephews 1st birthday! The theme was Octonauts (The Kids Show) and everything was delicious. All the foods fit the theme exactly how I pictured it. They made QuicksandHummus, Seaweed Salad, Fish Biscuit to go bags (as seen in the picture below! The kids had their own activity station where they could make their own candy fish bowls. Main course was Mac and Cheese, BBQ, potato salad & watermelon! Mac and cheese was great! The best part was the cake!! Strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries! Delicious. The decorations were so cute and you can tell they really researches their stuff! Thank you Catherine for making it a memorable one!!!!!

I was at a event recently and had to ask who the caterer was because of the good job they did.It turns out it was RSVP. Bravo. The food was quite tasty!! I got the chance to talk to some of the staff who were very friendly and knowledgable about the different items they had. Very professional service that I recommend to anyone looking to host a meeting or anything like that..

    Construction Themed Birthday Party
    Judy H.

I attended my little cousins construction themed birthday party over the weekend. They had chosen RSVP catering last year, so I was really interested to see how they could top it off! But they really outdid themselves with the decorations and attention to detail. The menu consisted of mini tacos, crab cakes, taquitos and make your own mini burgers. Not pictured here but when you cut the cake it was construction zig zag patterned which was even more amazing!!!! I highly recommend them as they really put their all into the theme.

She responded to my questions quickly and was always willing to adjust our invoices or provide recommendations. They are also the most affordable company I've found in the DC area. On site, the catering team went above and beyond to ensure our events went seamlessly. I have never had guests compliment the staff and the menu as much as they did with St. Germain! As the event coordinator, I appreciated that Ceecho, Donal, and Johnny checked in with me throughout the event, quickly adjusted to the schedule changes, and were efficient and helpful throughout the set up and tear down process. I highly recommend Saint Germain for our next catered function in DC! We will be a repeat customer for sure!

Their menu is expansive and can accommodate all types of dietary restrictions--we had dairy free, vegan, pollotarian, and gluten free folks, and they all enjoyed the food. Set up and tear down were efficient, and the staff was so friendly, polite, and professional! And the food! I over ordered, so the whole library staff got to eat, too. Everyone raved about the buffets (we did a "cookout" style, a "fajita bar" style, and we had breakfast for three days). Everything was cooked well and seasoned well! The fresh fruit was delicious! Can I recommend them any more than I have? If I'm ever in the DC/DMV area again for an event, I will definitely give them a call.

I'll start at the start--from the first email we sent to B. Lin Catering--they were responsive, helpful, and really thoughtful about our questions. That is no small thing, because we threw a lot of questions at them in that first email, and throughout the process, I mean a lot! But every time, Rena worked through our list in a timely way and responded to every single one of our questions with answers that were direct, and helpful. She was not just ready with answers to every question, but happy to provide additional suggestions and information from her experience, and proactive about raising and resolving issues in the plans we suggested we had not considered yet. B. Lin was one of our favorite vendors we worked with--and one of the most essential when it came to actually making the event we dreamed about a reality. From reviewing rental tablecloths and dishware, to suggesting tweaks to our floorplan and timeline, to setting everything out on the big day--and more. They also were crucial to the final clean up, and helping us ensure we got our venue security deposit back! The venue manager actually told us the place " was left in exceptional condition." OH and did I mention we were able to plan with them so effectively we flipped the room ahead of schedule? All night the B. Lin team was like clockwork. (but clockwork that knew how to adjust to the other ups and downs of the day around them!) And that's just about how helpful, detailed, and responsive they were to work with. I know what you're thinking--BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FOOD? The food was delicious. I can't really do it justice so you will just have to try it yourself. My only regret is we couldn't serve everything we sampled, because it was all so delicious! Star players include the buffalo chicken wonton, moneybag dumpling, and pork bao buns which were all HUGE hits during the cocktail hour. For dinner we landed on a stir-fry buffet, because it was not only delicious but gave us a lot of flexibility to for guests with dietary restrictions. I will admit now, my mother was initial skeptical of that we weren't going with the "steak or chicken" plate that was standard. But we knew we wanted something different, and tasty. In the end, she was completely converted by the end of the night. She may have told me how great the dinner was more than anyone else! But seriously, everyone loved the food, everyone! By the end of the night, me and my wife received a LOT of compliments--that really should be directed to B. Lin catering, Rena, and the rest of the team the helped us. So this is my attempt to pass along those many praises, as well as a few of my own. If you need great catering--looking no further!

I had to skip the burrito and fajita bars but the portions were massive and everything looked good.
