Richard is the absolute best. I called him at 9 o'clock at night and responded to me. He works an emergencies he's kind he's gracious. His prices are reasonable. He's so experienced honestly he was a referral from a neighbor across the street and everybody on the block has been using him since RSB Plumbing the best. read more

I called them to address being super aggressively tailgated for several blocks in a residential neighborhood by one of their van drivers (2 lanes, could've easily gone around me, drove a couple inches from my bumper, flashing beams). He then proceeded to run a red light after almost side-swiping my family. The owner was not only unapologetic about his brother Patrick's insane driving, but himself became verbally abusive over the phone. He just kept yelling nonsense and berating me (said it was my fault for driving the speed limit) instead of acting like a respectable and responsible business owner and community member. My family was shocked by the entire incident. read more

Professional, reasonable, reliable and honest! I definitely recommend. I have used them multiple times.

A craftsman with ethics of 100 years ago. Best ever with good prices and responsive.

Our water heater died this morning , so we called RSB Plumbing. We were worried that we were not going to have hot water for a day or so; however, Rich and Pat got a new heater installed the same day. Our water heater is working great now. We have used RSB Plumbing before and we are always happy with the results. We recommend them for any plumbing issues. read more

Unfortunately I was referred to this Plumbing company by a good friend and tenant to help locate and repair a gas main leak which I'll say that his team did in fact fix but the finished job was a hack job!!! However if you like working with a company that bids extremely high saying he'll give you a deal if it's any easy fix and says they'll be there at 7:00 AM and shows up at 10:00...then drops off his team and says he'll meet at 2:00 and shows up at 5:00 PM which I feel is unacceptable Richard is your man. The owner of the company is extremely combative and tries to intimidate you with his 30 year career of all happy clients which I now see on YELP isn't quite true.... he never listened and his only focus was to come and get his $$$. The repair ends up being a 3' section of green pipe that's right off the gas vault which required one thread and in all actuality took less than 3 total hours to repair with less than a 2' x 2' Concrete removal and threading one pipe for $2500 cash which I feel is rather high Also note that while Richard demanded the cash he still has not to date provided a receipt or guarantee for his services. Not a good experience for a homeowner and I will never use RSB Plumbing again! read more

The best plumbers ever!!! Knew my building, fast and detailed! Works around your schedule to fit you in!

This plumber cannot be trusted. He replaced a water heater for us 4 years ago, and we have been having ongoing issues with the water heater since he replaced it. I finally hired another plumber who told me that RSB had charged me $400 for a part to this new water heater that should have been covered at no cost under warranty...and he also charged me $300 labor....so $700 later, I now need to replace this 4 year old water heater with my new plumber. Several of my neighbors have had similar experiences with RSB. read more

Richard is the most honest hard working man I have ever met! We have used him multiple times I've referred him to my mother in laws house and my moms house anyone who needs a plumber I refer them to rich. He does great work at a fair price. I will forever use RSB for all my future plumbing needs. read more

RSB Plumbing - The sigh of relief when this van pulls up to the house! - Plumbing Near Me

I have been using RSB for many years now. I own and manage rental properties and I have probably had 50 or more service calls over the years. This company does quality work at a fair price every single time. I have referred at least 10 other friends and relatives and every one called back to thank me for the referral. A couple of service calls stand out... My cousin's ceiling had caved in due to leaking toilet seal, Richard came out immediately close to midnight and reset the toilet properly with no extra charge for the emergency service. Another time my aunt referred her neighbor to RSB for a drainage issue with a sump pump... another plumbing company had quoted him thousands of dollars telling him he needed his pump and entire system replaced. Richard came out and spotted a minor problem which he fixed instantly and it turns out the other estimate was just nonsense. Charge for this call was $0.00, Richard simply asked that he call him next time and tell a friend. I don't know of many companies that treat people with that level of honesty. I have had them do drains of course, but also new toilets, faucets, gas lines, and many other things. The work has always been done right the first time and they always take the time to clean up any mess from the job. This past winter they did a double sided gas wall heater for me and their price was almost $1000 less than other estimates I got. This job was done by Pat and he kept working late so my tenant would have heat that night, which was much appreciated. I also like to support locally owned small businesses, and that is what you get with RSB... you will either deal with Richard who is the owner or his brother Pat and the job will be done right at a fair price. read more

Richard is always so pleasant to work with and super helpful. No request is too minimal or too large, he shows up right away, gets the job done promptly, leaves no trail behind him. Most of all, his pricing is fair. read more

TOP SHELF., these guys are good..I called Richard at about 330pm on friday.. about an hour later he had his team at my door to check out the problem, as I suspected it was time to replace our hotwater heater(14 years old)...by 8pm that same evening we had a new functioning hotwater heater and very happy customers, that included them checking the problem, going to pick up new hot water heater, removing the old and installing the new one, all at what I think was a very fair price, especially given the speed of their service, they also clean up, wow..we were recommended to to RSB Plumbing by another trusted tradesman and we are very pleased we called..if you need plumbing done, don't hesitate to call RSB read more

Hands down, the WORST plumbing company I've ever hired. Richard had to keep coming back to fix (or attempt to fix) both bathroom and kitchen issues. His brother installed faucet handles incorrectly and Richard attempted to fix it, but it still wasn't right. After spending too much wasted $$$$, I hired a plumber who corrected all of these problems at a great price in a fraction of the time it took RSB. Save yourselves the headache and call a reliable plumber. NL read more

Amazing! I started using him because he knew my landlord and trusted him. After getting estimates and eyeing the job, he's fair and knows what needs to be done in literally just a few seconds. Very trustworthy, has been able to come by same day and the next day with little notice, and prices are fair. read more

Richard and his brother have helped us for several years now and they have always provided quality work at reasonable and fair prices and have been exceptionally responsive. We are in Palos Verdes and he always makes the time if we need him. Richard knows exactly what needs to be done and always seems to find the right solution for the problem. He will be our plumber for years to come. read more

Today I saw an RSB Plumbing van in redondo beach on prospect and beryl around 1:30pm. The man in this van drove extremely fast and erratic around a driving school car, just to go around another car that was turning. which was very unprofessional ! And I'm sure very scary for the teen driving the school car ! And then he proceeded to still drive very fast and not use turn signals and was blowing through stop signs and red lights. You guys have a giant phone number and logo on your van, you might wanna drive more safely.. This was also very close to an elementary school when this took place. read more

Nicest guy, trustworthy, good plumber. Will use him again.

This guy is rotten to the core. I just had to pay a REPUTABLE plumber to fix the mess that Richard left me with. He is dishonest, shows up late, if at all, with so many excuses it's ridiculous. Stay clear of this guy - he is nothing that he says he is and will leave you high and dry when you try to get him to come back and fix the plumbing problem that you originally hired and paid him to repair. read more

If they are as reckless plumbing as they are driving, I'll look elsewhere for my plumbing needs. One of their vans buzzed a group of us cyclists on a quiet residential street in Palos Verdes. Missed us by a foot (the law is 3 feet separation) doing at least 30 mph (speed limit is 25). When I called the office and spoke with the manager, he said he was aware of the 3 foot law. His first question was "were you to the right of the white bike lane line?" I said here is no bike lane. He then stated that we must be on the other side of the line because "he has had this issue before and the Palos Verdes Police say we need to be inside the white marked bike lane." Nothing could be further from the truth. There are no bike lanes in PVE and his intent on shifting the blame to us law abiding cyclist was filled with defiance. Not one word of an apology or "I'll speak with my driver so it will never happen again." What will never, ever happen is me using RSB Plumbing for any plumbing needs. There are plenty others out there that just plain care about the residents of the community. read more

Overpriced, Poor Results, No follow through. Had him clear a stopped sewer line on my rental property and paid more than $300 (he said it cost more because he there was no main line trap and had to go to the roof of a 2 story building to snake out the line). Two months later, the line was clogged again. When the tenant called him, he refused to come out.. I had to call another plumber who also said there was no trap, but offerred to remove a toilet and clean out the line for less than $200. When I told him the story about the previous plumber, he expressed doubt as a snake from the roof of a 2 story building seems excessively long and not likely to be effective. In any case, I am done with RSB. Hasta la Vista, baby. read more

Richard is awesome. Reliable, fun, honest, clean. Excellent work. Excellent company. He saved my house. They are extremely professionals, and Richard would do anything in the planet to help and satisfy the customers he has. There is no bad time to call. This company is completely unprofessional. They quoted me one price and my final one ended up being almost twice that. To make matters worse they did not even fix my problem. I then talked to a man named Todd and he was zero help. He simply told me that there was nothing he could do. STAY AWAY. read more

Rirchard is a disgrace to honest plumber. He gave me an estmitae which I have for $450 I was assaulted so my Aunt was going to pay the $450. Next thing I know he is in my back yard without my permission he busted up all my back yard. Then calls my 93 yrd old Aunt tells her it will cost $850 , knowing I need this she says ok. The thenbreaks my water line nails my hot water heater closed. He shuts off my hot water in my bathroom, turns my cold water in my kitchen off! Now it is going to cost around $5,000 to fix his errors. He does not call back he stole my opinion my Aunts money as he did not do the work. He turned water on in the back house when he was told not to. Meth addicts were squating and he knew it now they flooded my bathroom m y hall my bedroom and my living room,. I am going to have to get a loan to repair the damge that this man has done. He is the worst plumber with a bad attitude he messes up your home, plumbing them refuses to return your calls. "A friend in need is a friend indeed". That is what I've always felt with Richard Beck plumbing company. You know how it is when you need a plumber, you NEED a plumber! Richard has always been responsive, as possible, even though he's busy - Cause he's good and fair!! Another key element I appreciate is his expertise with diagnosis and EXPLANATION! I wanna know what's going on and what it's going to take to fix it. That may be easy when a drain is clogged but recently I had a hot water leak under the stone kitchen floor! I had fretful thoughts of jack hammering up the kitchen stone and slab! After determining the location we agreed to reroute the pipes through the walls and his guys got right on it and did a GREAT JOB! Same day done. I called his recommendation for the drywall repair, who was there 2 days later and also did the paint. IMPOSSIBLE to tell where it all happened!!! Yes I'm stoked, again! YAY RSB Thanks. read more

I was undecided whether to call this company - it had great reviews and bad ones, but it was local and I wanted to give them a chance. We are on Oregon Court. Anyway, the bloke was really nice and he was on time, got it taken care of and charged a very fair rate, so I have to give him five stars and say "support local businesses". I am not in any way affiliated with this company. I sometimes wonder, when the reviews are too good to believe, if people are, but this is one is creditable. I don't know what happened with the other people or why they wrote such horrible things, but I know there are always some people that are never happy. As my mechanic said "give me a chance and I will prove myself" and he did too - (that's Boulevard Motors on Hawthorne, if anyone needs a mechanic!) I believe in win win. So now he has one more great review - give him a chance and please post your experience on yelp afterwards to help other people decide. I'm going to check back! read more

Richard Beck, owner of RSB Plumbing, and his crew couldn't have been any better when they completely re-piped my townhome. I had two expensive water leaks within six months which caused a lot of damage. Apparently the builder had used sub-standard copper, which, 30 years later, was subject to pin hole leaks. I went out for bids to four plumbing companies. The bids were wildly different, but Richard was the lowest. He came out to survey the situation and was very thorough in describing just how the job would go and what to expect. So, I selected him and agreed he would start in a week. He arrived promptly at 8 am on Monday with two other employees and got right to work replacing pipe. They worked like beavers for the better part of 5 days. I am the curious type, and they stopped to explain what was going on many times. It was a very big job! I had expected that I, and my cat, would have to go stay in a hotel at least two nights, as there likely would be no water. But the guys managed to turn the water on at the end of each day, and I could stay home! I also needed a new water heater, so I asked Richard if he could install a new one while he was on site. He sold me a new heater at his buy price and did not charge me any labor to install it! All the while, the crew was very careful not to damage anything in my home, and put down tarps and hung poly to keep the dust down. They cleaned up at the end of every day and left the place spic and span. At the end of the week, I had all brand new thicker copper pipe and gained the confidence that there would now be no more pipe leaks. It is difficult for me to believe any of the negative reviews I see herein, as that certainly was not what I experienced! Richard and his crew were extremely conscientious, through and friendly. I highly recommend RSB Plumbing to take on your job! read more
