Some of the reviews yelp has hidden because they don't pay for advertising

I'm shocked that they don't have a 5 star rating! It's probably because they don't pay yelp to advertise which means that yelp will find their good 4-5 star reviews and hide them at the bottom of the page under "non-Reccomended" reviews. Watch the movie "billion dollar bully" I can't speak for the team down in the town of Lincoln ca, but I can speak for Jack Cooper who runs the Bay Area division and his team is phenomenal!!! Their quality is above and beyond when it comes to installation, labor and materials!!! Jack can have the siding colored in advance so all you'll ever need to do is touch it up as needed. His attention to detail behind the walls is what really counts. They make sure to address any issues that come up so your home is better than ever before. They have attended training courses and boot camps at the James hardie plant. This is not the standard siding you can buy anywhere else. This makes them a tremendous value when you consider not having to pay a painter thousands of dollars. Jack is on the job regularly and pays attention to the details. He will ensure it's right even when something is not necessarily his problem to fix (such as other vendors, or outside contractors). His knowledge, guidance and expertise is exemplary. You owe it to yourself to talk to interview with them for all your siding needs!

I needed the siding on my chimney replaced and it was very difficult to get estimates from other companies.... I ended up having to Spenser from RPS remodeling come out and recommended some hardy board that's already painted and it perfectly matches my house. My HOA approved it and we got started. And a great young man named Dylan arrived on time and started the tear out process. He was neat and tidy I was cleaning up after himself all the nails and debris was picked up every evening. All the ladders and tools were neatly set aside during the evenings and covered. Also while he was working he noticed a few of my roof tiles had slid off in a bad position and I was able to get my roofer out in a timely manner and get the house repaired before any water damage happened so thank you for that. It's a two-story home so I would have never found that. The communication was good as far as timeline and expectations. Along the way there's some decisions to make on trim and paint and I just basically told him yeah I trust you and just make it look good and he made his own choices and it came out very good. One of the screens to my window was accidentally torn and he took the initiative and ordered me a new screen at no charge, he came back a few days later on his lunch break and put it in for me. To me that's great customer service and just taking care of business... I appreciate that. All in all it came out fantastic. I know it is kind of a smaller job just a chimney siding but it is my house and it's important to me yeah and it came out very well the after pictures are fantastic. Dylan really did a great job. I would recommend RPS remodeling to anybody looking for any type of remodeling services, even my boss at service champions heating and air asked for his number. They were competitive on price I did have one quote slightly higher. I don't always want the cheapest quote but I don't wanna overpay either so I think they were in the middle. That's kind of where I buy, middle of the road. Here's a couple pictures below so you can see the before and after's but it came out really really nice. The attention to detail was really phenomenal.

This review could become a 5 star but I have had zero communication with Rick or anybody at RPS since I wrote them my final check, aside from me emailing them. No initiative on their part. There is left over material in my drive way that I've requested them to remove 3 times. We're in the process of having habitat for humanity come pick it up. -When they re-installed 3 out of our 5 exterior lights, they were re-wired wrong and I had to go back and wire them correctly -the project started 1 week late than scheduled (I had requested the day off from work) and I sent an email the night before to ensure we were still on track. Nope. They said they wouldn't be starting for a week! I would have been left sitting at home wondering where everybody was. Good thing I initiated the email! -after the project was done, the "team" leader guy walked around and I pointed out a few of my concerns. His response for everything was "oh just go to Home Depot and grab this and do this, etc" just because I'm handy, doesn't mean I want to finish the detail work that you didn't do. They needed to finish our slider, crawl space vent and front door trim paint. All of which he said I could do. Um, no. Luckily Rick made them come back out, even though they weren't happy about it. -Final Inspection? Yeah...I've been waiting 3 weeks for it, emailed RPS and told it would be happening. Still Nothing. So, I called the permit department at the county and scheduled it myself! They came out the next day, no thanks to RPS! -Phone line...let's not mention the phone line they cut and left hanging over my fence on top of the old gutters they never hauled away! I paid a lot of money to have this done and not have any headaches. I'm having some buyers remorse now after all the issues I'm running into... Tread cautiously. If you don't mind lack of attention to detail, then they're the right group for you. If you're looking to write some checks and get your siding redone and have no communication, they're right for you. The photos are of the phone line and left over/junk gutters as well as the extra material that was supposed to be picked up weeks ago. Hopefully somebody reads this and reaches out to me. I'm done trying.

I called no less than a dozen different contractors/handymen/stucco companies to get some cracking T-111 wood siding removed and a window removed and reinstalled correctly and was given the run around time after time with prices and quotes ranging quite a bit. Very little professionalism to say the least. At the end of my rope I looked on the James Hardie website and found RPS Remodeling with a 98% rating. Spencer came out in a timely manner and had a written quote for me to review, answered all my questions, and booked the job in a timely manner once we chose the color we wanted. Paul the installer DID a FANTASTIC JOB, took his time and the results show it. It took a day or two longer than quoted, but for a meticulous job it was worth it. He even gave me time to fill in some additional insulation where it was lacking in the walls. I highly recommend RPS for a great job at a reasonable price for a fantastic product.

I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!

The short version is he is extremely reliable with excellent communication and workmanship. Lock in for the long version. We have lived in our home for 12 years and were looking for a reliable contractor to remodel our entire home. We plan to be in this home for a long time and really needed someone who would show the care and attention to our home. We interviewed several contractors and Joe with CB Homes matched our communication style and genuine care for the work performed. We planned to move out of our home due to the large scope of the project and needed someone we could trust and rely on without us being inside the house. Joe proved to be reliable and trustworthy. He showed up when he said he would and if he needed to adjust scheduling he communicated clearly and worked with us. He was excellent at managing the many different elements and phases of the project to keep us involved in the key decision making while keeping the project on schedule. Many people told us no way the project would be complete by our 3 month target but we were able to move back home exactly when we planned to. The quality of the work was exceptional and Joe provided us suggestions and recommendations while respecting our unique sense of style. I.E. We wanted two mounted TVs in the living room, unique ivy backsplash in the bathroom and removed 5 windows since we like low lighting in the house. We've been back in the house for 2 weeks now and love how it turned out. We are already thinking about future projects (backyard) and hope to work with Joe again.

I didn't get a phone call, and was on my way home to have this meeting, I happened to open my email, and see that it was cancelled. I email and call, and finally the office personal connected me with Gomer. He states that I am responsible for getting the cracking and broken floors fixed from the subcontractor that Lawton hired. So again, the run around. After reaching out to the California Contractors State License Board, I have confirmed that this is the responsibility of Lawton, and not to be put on the homeowner. No one is getting back to me. Update 12/25: We never heard from Devon again about rescheduling, I checked in with her almost every other day tried calling tried texting tried emailing after two months of no response. Reached out to Gomer Masumbuko (COO). Let him know what was going on, he informed me that Devon Kelly had been let go from the company. I sent him all the texts I had from Devon. He said we would connect in two days. Weeks go by, I have to repeatedly attempt to connect with Gomer. Update 10/25: reached out, at least once a month, to get the work scheduled. I sent updated videos and photos of the pieces that were breaking more and more, and the new spots. We kept getting the runaround. Stated our concern that we were coming up on a year since the floor was finished. She said the floor was ordered and we set a date. We were canceled on the morning of. Update 2/25: Reached out to Devon, project manager, to let her know that the warranty work done in the original area (kitchen), by the subcontractor that Lawton had hired, was failing. Planks of the flooring are cracking and separating. Also, lots of loud popping and cracks. She confirm that that should not be happening, and was going to get it warrantied from Home Depot, where the flooring was purchased from. update (12/24): Our floors have been redone. I didn't think anything would come of leaving my review, but Lawton did try to make things right. The manager that helped us, Devon, was great. She was available to text, with questions, and wanted to make sure we were happy. She even scheduled additional work for us with the subcontractor that Lawton had hired to put the floors down in the warranty. Update: Since posting this review the COO has reached out and informed me that the crew, that worked on our home, no longer works for Lawton Construction. They are going to try to fix some of the things, that they can fix, and apologized for everything we went through. I will update this review once again, once the work is redone with a new crew, under Devon Kelly. Original review: Terrible, terrible, terrible! So many things went wrong with this company, and the job never got completed fully, and the craftman ship is awful. There is grout that is missing from tile on backsplashes. Workers didn't turn off water and had gallons of water that leaked into crawl space, so needed additional mitigation team, which of course they wanted my insurance company to pay for, even though it was THEIR mistake. Had to have industrial fans running for days, and had a $400 electric bill that WE had to pay. Was told the job was "small and would take minimal time to complete, 5 weeks"well 5 months later I had to hound them to get it finished. Would talk to one manager and get one story, and talk to another manager and get a compeletely different story. Learned that they didn't have employees for the job so they found others "who said they knew how to do the job". After job was completed they sent yet again another bill saying that they had mistakes on the other one and didn't account for certain things, also their fault! A year later, the grout is coming out of the tile and have to wear shoes or feet get cut on the tile.Towel rack coming out of wall, to discover that they didn't repair and paint the whole wall- they hung the hardware then painted around it. As we look closer we notice there is paint on the cabinets, or chipped from their tools, and most of the hardware in bathroom. Paint tape left. Floor tiles left chipped. Tack holes left. Smoke detector never hung back up. A corner of wall was never repaired at all, and there is just painters tape closing up the whole in the sheetrock. We had to paint and touch up kitchen walls and cabinets after they left. Hole behind backsplash was never filled, they just painted over it hoping we wouldn't notice. Tiles on floor/wall backsplash don't line up with the floor tiles. We can't use one of our floor vents, because they cut the tiles too big and had to hammer the vent shut to make it fit! So unprofessional all around, and looks like a high school trades class did the work, but charge top shelf. Would love to have all this work redone by someone else, but we don't have the funds to spend $30K, so we are stuck with it. As another review stated, don't walk from this company, RUN!

I had some reservations about not going with a restoration company but Voss and his team assured me that if they found mold or more extensive water damage they could take the necessary steps to remediate it.
