I've been wanting to upgrade the interior of my house for over 15 yrs. and 3 yrs. ago I upgraded the exterior and landscaping. I started saving and planning for the interior since then. I've worked with many contractors over the years, some very good, some okay and a couple did just barely acceptable work. But, I cannot say enough positive things about the work by NBM Construction with Nick and his crew. I am beyond satisfied with the quality and outcome of the work they did to my home. My plans was to tear out carpet in living/dining room, entry way and 2 bedrooms, re-texture walls with "Imperfect Smooth" finish, install new flooring, tear out and install new baseboards and install crown moulding and paint interior. I contacted several contractors and got estimates, but all the contractors were busy and couldn't begin my project until late Sept. or early Oct. And during this time I found extensive dry in my front bedroom that spread from the bathroom. When I met with Nick from NBM Construction, he open the wall and part of the flooring and inspected the dry rot. After a thorough check under the bath tub, Nick told me he could remove and repair dry rot without tearing out the tub or tile in the bathroom. Nick told me he would bring me a proposal for my entire project plus dry rot repair within a couple of day. And as promised, Nick called me a couple of days later and gave me a time he would come by and bring proposal. After we met, I decided to go with a flooring company for carpet tear out and floor installation and when I told Nick, he said he would do the rest of the project and rewrote the proposal excluding the flooring. The day after we agreed, Nick showed up at my house at 7a.m. and began dry rot repair. And with only taking a break to get materials, Nick finished the repair at 7p.m. And the following week, Nick and his crew began the work. First, Nick came in and tore out baseboards and the next day his crew started the texture. Texture was finished on a Saturday, then I left for a planned trip until Tues. Wed. the flooring guys came in and finished by Fri. And the following week, Nick and his crew came in and installed baseboards, crown moulding and did the painting. I can't praise Nick and his crew enough about the quality of their work, the care they gave my home and how enjoyable it was to discuss the project him from start to finish. After each day of work, Nick and his crew did a thorough cleanup and showed concern for my property. During the project I had trouble selecting paint colors and Nick was patient with me and gave his opinion whenever I ask. I had selected a color for the walls that I was not a 100% sure about and Nick said that he didn't want to paint the walls unless I was going to be happy with the color. After that Nick and I looked at color samples until I found exactly what I was looking for. And the finished color is just what I had imagined. And after meeting with general contractors, painting contractors, a crown moulding contractors (he wouldn't even do the baseboards) and a texture contractor, I can't tell you how lucky I was to find a contractor who had the experience to do all of this work with a high quality level of expertise and professionalism. The finish product that I received is better than I imagined. I absolutely love the work done by Nick and his crew. I will not hesitate to use NBM Construction in the future as I will be planning a kitchen remodel in the next couple of years. read more

Nick and his crew just finished doing a fantastic job on our house. The work included fixing our dry rot problems and then repainting the exterior of our home. There was a fair amount of dry rot, which Nick is certified to detect and repair. We'd already had our home inspected and Nick found a few items that the previous inspector missed! Our house presented a bit of a challenge in that the type of siding on our home is somewhat difficult to find. But since we weren't replacing ALL of the siding, Nick had to find siding that matched ours. He succeeded (actually, I don't think there's ANYTHING Nick can't do!) and he and his crew matched up the siding beautifully. Since he was doing both the siding/trim replacement where needed (dry rot), his crew would prep their repair work for painting while they were up on ladders and scaffolding. By having Nick do both the repair and the painting, a separate contractor didn't have to come along behind him and caulk and prep the exterior. When the dry rot repairs were completed, the house was ready to paint! Nick was very helpful in selecting our house colors; in fact, we walked the neighborhood with the paint chips to match the colors of other homes we liked. Nick selected the door color for us and it looks terrific. Whether doing the repairs or painting, Nick's crew was first rate. They were always on time, cleaned up every single evening before leaving, and were very neat about everything. I would hire NBM Construction again in a heart beat! NDM Painting and Construction are a rare find in the home construction industry today. Nick, as the owner and certified professional, distinguishes himself with his honesty, expertise, communications, ethics, diligence, stamina and pride in his work. He is a hands-on owner who works beside his team every hour of the day. From our first meeting, he listened and accurately bid to our needs and wants. Our project had to be coordinated with newly installed windows. The meticulous attention he gave to all the wood repair; preparing all our siding and windows for painting; removing hardware; trimming shrubs and working around our front/back yards prior to painting was done with hospital care and coordination. I've never seen any home construction company go the second mile as he did which gave us the confidence and satisfaction at every phase. Along the way we realized we needed to purchase 6 new exterior light fixtures; paint our front door and entry screen door; and add a few improvements beyond just painting. Nick accommodated us in stride. He worked well into the evenings to complete the project and even returned after the work was done by his team to personally install molding around our front door that needed repair and install a new doorbell button as a thank you gift to celebrate our home makeover. I really did a lot of research before selecting the contractor to paint my home. I have to say Yelp was right on the money when it came to recommending NBM. Nick gave me a fair no hidden fee estimate . His staff arrived everyday on time and ready to work. I needed brick work and dry rot repair done as well and everything was done to my satisfaction. I am one to notice details and point out imperfections if they exist. After I did the completion walk through and the job was considered complete with my stamp of approval , I noticed a paint run on the trim , I called Nick and he came right back to fix it. I love the new look of my home and so do all my neighbors. A couple of my neighbors had their homes painted right before I did, and they have said they wished they would have gone with NBM after seeing mr finished product. Nick and Edward just finished the job on the exterior of my house this afternoon. They repaired extensive dry rot, including replacement of several beams, lattice, lots of window frames, and one entire side of my two story house. Then they painted. Beautifully. They were extremely organized every step of the way, carefully covering windows and other areas with plastic or drop cloths; they trimmed all foliage away from the house, pressure washed, carefully handled my outdoor furniture and other stuff... I could go on and on. They are pleasant, personable, prompt and professional. They work hard and complete all phases of the job and beyond: they removed and capped unsightly electrical fixtures left by former owners, and even made sure an exterior light that wasn't working was functional before they left. We recently moved to a new home and needed to close escrow, paint and move FAST! NBM Construction was a dream to work with. Nick responded quickly to all of my email and phone calls, put up multiple swatches many times and gave great advice with regards to colors. We got several other estimates but Nick was the most professional. He is honest and clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. They did a wonderful job. Prompt, Meticulous and straightforward. All lines were clean, no stray pain. Nick did multiple touchups, which weren't part of our our contract, he didn't go over budget and was extremely trustworthy. NBM Construction, Inc transformed my whole home with this project. Nick and his team provided the highest level of professionalism during the project and were very meticulous at each juncture. Nick took the time to answer all my questions while assessing the time, scope, and cost of the project. Nick and his team showed up each day on time and worked the whole day. Nick and his crew are meticulous, polite, on time, professional, keep to the schedule...shall I go on? The quality of their work is amazing. They painted the outside of my house and did such a good job, the several neighbors who saw them working came over to ask questions and complemented them on the job. I hired NBM Construction to paint my house after getting some very positive reviews from others. I found the owner, Nick to be very detailed about what he would do and quite pleased with his commitments. He worked with me to select the perfect colors even though we had to get numerous samples. I am so pleased with the outcome. The house looks great. He patched all minor cracks, removed all screens etc., removed lights as well as the items that I had attached to the house. After painting, he put all items back. Nick and his assistant, Eddie did an excellent job, They kept me appraised and always arrived on time daily as promised. My house exterior had not been painted in almost 20 years. Nick negotiated the project and Eddie did most of the work as rain delayed the project one week and Nick was scheduled to be out of town.
