Royal subs is the only sub shop that I will get subs from. The service is always freaking phenomenal. Whether you order online or whether you go there and pick it up. Delivery is so fast! They open early in the morning so if you are going to camp and you need a lunch for your kid or anything that requires you to have a sub early in the morning, it might just be because you're a gangster Lol but whatever you want you can get it bright and early in the morning. I love that! They have the softest bread it's got a little bit of sweetness to it. I don't know what they do to that bread but I'm telling you it's fantastic. They are the go to place. It's small. It's clean. You can't eat in there, but that is never a dealbreaker for me when it comes to Food establishment. If you have not heard of royal subs, if you have not tried them out, you have to! This business refuses all refunds. I placed an order here online, noticed the error within 10 minutes and called them. At which point they informed me I had to contact their outside vendor. When I called the vendor, they told me, they needed authorization from the business. When the vendor called the business, they declined the refund because they had just finished making the sub. This business knowingly extended the time and made me jump through hoops so that they could quote their own policy. The only offer they provided was for me to order the food again through delivery service and only then would they refund me the original order. So I'd essentially pay for delivery on a sandwich I didn't want, and that wasn't made when i originally called. Edit: The business owner has replied with incorrect information claiming they offered delivery. They did not, they told me to order the sub I didn't want again from them for delivery and then they would refund the original order. Essentially forcing me to pay delivery cost. At the end of the day, you guys made me jump through hoops for a refund you never intend to give, even though no food had been made yet read more

I ordered from Uber eats so I cannot speak on the service or ambiance of the restaurant, however, I can definitely speak on the sub! I am from Fort Lauderdale originally and have grown up with a very well known sub spot and have been trying to find a spot in west palm that can compete. Royal Subs was very close in that! The bread was incredibly fresh and soft. I ordered the roast beef and felt like they give a very fair amount of meet and toppings. Everything was fresh and delicious! Not my primary location, I go to the one on 45th. Couldn't figure out lunch on my way from a meeting and saw the sign and the decision was set. The hardest part was picking a sub and a drink. I was in the area getting my car serviced and decided to try this place based on the high ratings. I ran in to order and was immediately greeted so A+ for customer service. I asked if the cheesesteak was good and was told it was very popular so I ordered that. It was prepared quickly and looked like perfection when I opened the container. The meat to bread ratio was perfect and there was a decent amount of cheese on it. I was excited to try this but after the first bite, disappointment sunk in. The bread was amazing, the cheese tasty, but the steak was bland...and I mean nursing home bland! Not a lick of salt or pepper. I took a second bite and decided I couldn't eat this bland mess so I drove back to PSL hungry and threw it in the fridge. I took it out the next day and seasoned it up myself. I added onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper and threw it in the air fryer. After that it was decent, but I can't imagine why they would choose not to season their meat. Royals is a long lasting staple in the community and a restaurant I've patronized since childhood. However, I cannot grant them more than 3 stars based off my most recent experience. I've been having a craving for at least two weeks, most frequently on Sundays when they aren't open lol ironic. So today I was determined to satisfy my craving. I stopped in for lunch and my original intention was to simply order a chef salad with creamy Italian dressing (the dressing is to die for). I'm pregnant so I have to currently stay away from the cold cuts. Royals is notorious for their Italian subs which I would have opted for if I could. However, when I browsed the hot sub menu I realized they had brought back a sub that had been discontinued for awhile, the BBQ Beef sub. Hands down my all time favorite sub from Royals. This sub brings back so many memories from my childhood, especially those secondary school days I had doctors appointments and my mom would stop at Royals to buy me a 6inch BBQ Beef combo before having to return to school. I sat and waited with the few other patrons in the restaurant until my order was called. Service is still pretty quick, there also wasn't a lunch rush around 2:30 (they close at 3) so I was lucky. I didn't check my order before I left because ... it's Royals ... why would I need to. When I got to my office and opened my sub container I was distraught. The "New" BBQ Beef sub is literally roast beef topped with bbq sauce. The appearance was not only atrocious but the taste was no better. I immediately tossed it in the trash (not without taking a picture first of course). The "old" BBQ Beef was shredded beef, similar to a pulled pork consistency. They honestly should take it back off the menu all together if this is the quality they intend to serve. Highly disappointed. read more

Bread tastes frozen, my buddy orders from a frozen bread place just like that. Doesn't taste like bread at all. More like dense cake. Also the bread has a chemical smell/taste to it from the cleaning agents they must use on the floor. It just absorbs into the bread. They seemed very nice though. The cookie also has the same chemical taste/smell. I was there about an hour from closing during the week. I know you guys can do better. So royal subs knows how to do it right! This was my first visit after remembering a worker telling me how good they were. Since I was in the area I swung by. The place was busy and I ordered from the front counter and paid another lady to the right. I got the 12" ham and cheese that was on the specials board. It also came with chips and a drink. They also have sweet tea and lemonade behind the counter which seemed to be a crowd favorite! The bread is so soft and has a bit of a sweetness to it, just like Hawaiian bread. The meat and toppings were nice and cold. I got it with the staples, lettuce, mayo, tomato and onion but added jalapeños as well. I'd order it to go since it seemed chaotic inside. I'll definitely be back to show the boyfriend since he loves Sammiches! This place definitely lays in my top 3 subs spots. It may actually take #1. I wish there was one closer to my home. I've had several sandwiches either missing ingredients or with added ingredients and never once complained or requested a replacement because their subs are genuinely tasty. However with that said, I'll no longer be giving this establishment my business. They added jalapeños in place of black olive and as someone very sensitive to spice I was unable to eat my sandwich. Unfortunately it was not convenient for me to return that day for a replacement or a refund and the sandwich and my $10 went to waste. They refused to rectify THEIR mistake and I'm just in total disbelief of their refusal to accommodate in any way. Even offering $5 off for next time would have sufficed, but their total lack of customer service is just baffling.
