I brought my family of four here on a Saturday at 12:00 for lunch and we the only ones there. We were greeted and told to just pick a table right away,which was nice . Then we were given four styrofoam small kid cups for water with a plastic carafe. The top of the carafe was white but stained pink from the water sediment buildup, obviously not cleaned in some time. As we tried to order the a language barrier became apparent. We tried to order just plain broth and the lady didn't understand. We ended up ordering appetizers and all three were disappointing. Potstickers were over priced at 13.95 , with the off putting mystery meat inside. 4 small egg rolls were probably the best of the worst served in half a Togo styrofoam container. Wings appetizer was made from poor quality chicken drums and wings , from deformed and broken bones ether wings were unappetizing. Over all this place amazed me for still being open with such poor quality food , the service isn't terrible but certainly can be improved upon. I would never go back or recommend this establishment. The locations setup has a to go counter or table service available. When you are seated they bring a plastic jug of water with styrofoam cups for your party and small menu books for each guest. There were only two people tonight running the restaurant and they were very friendly and welcoming. I had come a few times last year too and for some reason the quality of the food it seems is very different. I once again ordered the Roast Pork Ramen and others at my table ordered tempura shrimp, egg rolls, and fried chicken. The portion of the pork seemed smaller than last time and the egg wasn't as runny. The broth was alright but the flavor was pretty light until I was halfway done, coming through more potent in the bottom half of the bowl. The noodles too didn't seem as dense as last year but the kikurage mushroom was a nice texture. The staff is friendly and the location is well taken care of in terms of cleanliness and organization. However, if I do come back I will probably stick with some of the fried selections or dumplings next time. This place was amazing and I didn't even know it was there as many times as I have been to Myrtle Beach. I will definitely be going back when I go back to the beach. The food was amazing and it was really quiet. We were the only ones there at first but then more people started to come in. The service is very nice here! Not too busy so we got to choose where we sat. The food was pretty good too very surprised to see they have black fungus salad on the menu! Moving here from Vegas I never thought I'd be able to find it in a restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised. The black fungus was amazing even my husband liked it. The green scallion and pancake was a little greasy but still tasty and cooked perfectly. Crunchy outside chewy inside! My husband got the miso ramen and he enjoyed it very much and ate the whole thing. He also really liked their chili oil they have in the tables. Please please please don't go to this restaurant!!!! We called to see if there was a wait because everywhere else was about an hour wait. As soon as we called and asked for a table for 10 people the man said to come now there is no wait. As soon as we got to the restaurant we were all kind of curious as to why the place was empty. No one was there but they were opened. We decided to go in and have a seat. Our server was so rude and was rushing all of us. We didn't even get a chance to look the menu even. All we kept saying was "hurry I need to put the order in for the kitchen" he was just very rude. The food was HORRIBLE, I don't even know how they can call that ramen. It tasted like dirty water and had no flavor at all. The bubble tea was way way too sweat and the whole experience was just bad. I couldn't finish my food, I felt sick immediately after and we did end up getting sick that night. The water pitchers they give at the table was dirty and just not clean. Fantastic meal at Royal Ramen, however service and cleanliness were lacking. We had the ramen, dumplings, and egg roll and everything was fantastic tasting, would prefer a little more soup in my dumplings but that's a matter of preference. I thought the ramen was put together well and included tons of noodles in a giant broth bowl. The egg rolls were smaller, flaky, with a mushy filling rather than a large crispy oil filled junk that most are used to. The complaints I had were I did happen to drop half my egg roll in the seat and when I went to grab it, my hand was greeted with the dust, dirt, and everything else that have been accumulating since inception. They also stored food in a commercial freezer in the front cash register area, which was a little off putting seeing how the food was stored. Also the service was a little slow. Would I eat here again, yes. Could there be some major improvements, yes. read more

Through my travels I try Ramen from many different restaurants. Royal ramen did not have tonkatsu ramen but did have pork ramen. The broth was thin and seems to be miso based. Not much flavor. My husband and I love ramen, so naturally when this place opened up we had to give it a try. As locals of the area Myrtle is greatly lacking quality Asian food and this place was awesome. We had the soup dumplings which are my favorite and they were spot on. I also had the chicken ramen & my husband had the beef. The beef broth was far better than the chicken broth but all in all it was delicious. I have had very good ramen in NYC, this was comparable but the ramen in NYC is infinity less expensive in China Town. Only downside is that it's a little pricey. read more

This place should not have the word "ramen" in its name, because it is a far cry from being a decent ramen restaurant. We tried the miso ramen and the abc ramen; both broths were bland and tasteless, and the noodles were overcooked & similar to the dry instant noodles that u can find in Asian stores. There were only a few thin slices of meat and half an egg in the ramen bowls; definitely not worth $14. The only way we could finish our noodles was by adding chili sauce to up the taste. We are huge ramen people and try to visit a place wherever we go. I made the mistake of not checking the reviews first. Do not eat here. I found multiple flies in my soup and am being plagued with the after taste of dirty dish washer. My husband and I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen and the Miso Ramen. The noodles were spaghetti, the broth tasted watered down and the pork was thinly sliced and over cooked. I did not bring up any complaints to staff so I cannot comment on their reaction but the guy who took our orders was professional and took our order without fuss. I tried this place based off of a friend's suggestion, and I was not disappointed. The pork soup dumplings are amazing with chili oil, and the staff is very kind. I ended up coming back the next day for more soup dumplings/milk tea as they were quite good. It is a bit of a smaller joint, but its clean and nice inside.
