    Cold Ramen

In love at first bite!! Excited to see this spot punt with the seasons. Cold Ramen? Yes, I initially was put off by the idea, but the ingredients looked so good we decided to dive in! The pork sliced so thin, and was so tender and flavorful, the new noodles tender and juicy, bright crunch from the bean sprouts and pickled ginger, jammy egg [ Storey Farms!!] all served in a light sesame sauce. I enjoyed every single bite. Note: for a limited time they will be offering a free sample..but if you love ramen and thought it wasn't a summer dish..think again.

I can't recommend this place enough. Although the menu is limited, the quality and taste is absolutely outstanding! I came in alone after I decided I was in fact too hungry to grocery shop and settled with this ramen spot. Little did I know I had just made the greatest decision that week! I got the Tonkotsu Tantanmen medium spice and wow- what a flavorful explosion that was. It was incredible!! Not to mention the staff, they were so kind and friendly explaining how the kiosk station worked and I also watched them run up to the door to open it for customers coming in. An amazing staff who make you feel a part of the family and brought the food out quickly. The ambiance was spacious and clean. I wish this spot many years of good fortune. They prepare great food, are incredibly friendly, and have a super clean space. Absolutely outstanding.

Great experience at Hachiya last night. Loved ordering from the screen just like in Japan! Food comes out quickly and is piping hot! Tonton Ramen was ordered extra spicy and delivered. The broth was very flavorful and rich and the eggs (I ordered an extra) were done perfectly so that they added to that richness. Service is very friendly - welcoming you when you arrive and thanking you when you leave...just like in Japan. If you are looking for a lengthy dining experience this is not that! But on a rainy and / or cool day then Ramen at Hachiya is a great option!!

New ramen spot in Mount Pleasant and it's good!! It's tucked away in the same lot as Publix and there's tons of parking. Service is extremely friendly and quick - you order on a Kiosk and they bring the food out to your table. The restaurant is clean and spacious. I ordered the tonktasu ramen set (add bamboo and shitake mushroom) with karaage chicken and upgraded the rice to a mentai onigiri. SO much food, I had to take the rest to-go - definitely a great value. The tonkatsu broth is savory and comforting, good noodles that weren't overcooked. The pork pieces were fine, nothing to write him about. Good saucy egg. A very solid bowl of ramen! The real star of the show was the chicken karaage. Juicy, crispy, full of flavor and topped with the BEST sauce. Soooo good - I would come back just to get the karaage. I took the onigiri home since I had absolutely no room left, but it was a great snack for later. Love unwrapping the plastic and getting to enjoy the crispy seaweed with rice. Great place to get some warm noodle soup on a rainy day. Very friendly service, great value, and delicious food. Will definitely be coming back!

Great service, yummy food. Came to Hachiya Ramen with family. Ordering at the kiosk was a breeze and our food came quickly after. Everything was delicious. We ordered the regular ramen, spicy, karage, dumplings, rice, mango shaved ice, and strawberry shaved ice. We tried the claw machine after dinner with no luck but thought it was a fun addition. We'll be back!

We finally got to try out, the new ramen spot by Hachiya (yes the same restaurant that does Hibachi in, West Ashley), called Hachiya Ramen. Such a fun concept, the menu is so easy to understand, and the food is SO good and arrives fast! We made sure to order all 3-different ramens, you can order them a la cart or in different sets/combo that bring different sides like; karaage chicken, gyoza, pork buns, onigiri or edamame. For the ramen, I went with the Tonkotsu which comes with a pork broth, silky noodles, braised pork, green onions and a soft boiled egg - it was so good!! We also tried their veggie ramen, which came with a different veggie broth as well as the (med-spicy) tantanmen ramen, which were just as good. You can also add extra toppings too (any ramen) for an extra fee. Hachiya Ramen, is a fun place for a date or with a group of friends to experience a true Ramen meal. The people who work there are so nice and welcoming, if you're in Mount Pleasant make sure you check them out.

Wow! So amazed at this nee ramen spot! Finally, Charleston area has a new ramen place. Definitely one of the best broths I've had and the take home bowl for the broth comes in a big container. You order in a little self service machine so you're in control of what you want in your bowl. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food that you get. Can't forget the amazing food sets! You get a full bowl of ramen, chicken karaage, and rice. The french fry sauce was tasty as well. Everything was amazing.

Let's see I'm about to walk in. Nice area, it's in a corner of the Publix parking lot very quiet. I see a group of about 6 people through the window good sign. It was just okay, the experience was more fun to me than the food. It's fun but bland. The broth is delicious, the noodles taste like chewing plastic. Noodles should definitely be softer, that would make everything perfect. Would I try this again? No. I had fun today though, everyone in there is VERY nice WOW! You will be treated with kindness!

We finally made our way back over the bridge to check out the Cold Noodles at Hachiya Ramen, and it was everything I hoped for and more! I can definitely see it being a summer staple. The kids got the Kid's Set that came with Ramen, fries, and a treat. Service is always amazing, and quick! Super relaxed dining, and kid friendly with a claw machine in the back too.

One of the best ramens I've had in my life. It's not too salty, ample ramen, melt in your mouth pork belly. The portion was perfect, definitely could have saved some for later but I wanted to enjoy all of it in that moment. The service is welcoming and very hospitable. There's a punch card loyalty program as well - I love the old-school stamps vs downloading another app on the phone. When you walk-in there's a kiosk to which you order your meal to-go or in-house. I love the descriptions and visuals and don't feel rushed when making a decision. After you place the order, take a number and find a seat! There's lots of seating options: high tables, booths, regular tables for 2. The ladies room was clean, chic, and smelled great! There were tampons and pads which was a thoughtful touch plus a cleaning foam for the toilet seat. There's self-serve leftover bowels and utensils. They do offer silverware if you can't use chopsticks (but they do have chopstick grip holders where you can learn!!) I can't wait to come back. Loved the atmosphere, service, and quality.

I'm writing this follow-up review only to prove that this place truly is exceptional. I've been to dozens of ramen spots throughout the Carolinas, and this one single-handedly provides the most consistent quality of food in terms of taste, texture, and timeliness of ordering. Not only are the ramen and sides beautifully cooked to perfection, the service here is ASTRONOMICALLY amazing! Hachiya Ramen goes the extra mile by having a greeter holding the doors for you and welcome you in, with a kitchen staff that is there to serve quality food in a quick manner. They also LOOK for opportunities to serve you, being proactive in hospitality! As someone who works in food business where we pride ourselves on hospitality, this is awesome to see. Keep it up guys, you rock!! P.S. You would surpass 6 out of 5 stars if you incorporated deep-fried gyoza into the mix... just one of my own preferences!

This place is truly the absolute best. The food of course is tremendous but the staff are the reason we come back as often as we do. The atmosphere is amazing and you are family when you're in the building. I wish these people years of good fortune.

    Pure deliciousness!!

Highly recommend this place!! It was delish! The staff is so friendly and helpful! The pork bun was best I have ever eaten and my kiddo swears the karaage was the best fried chicken he's ever eaten and is now on a mission to find a recipe for me to try and make at home!! My husband throughly enjoyed his meal as well! Quick easy and delicious!!

I sneaked a peak at the menu on FB before the dinner and was dead set on the lobster ramen. After confidently ordering with merely a glance at the menu (my mind was made up in advance), I was promptly notified that the ramen did not contain lobster, but rather was a lobster broth base. I had a brief moment of disappointment, but quickly changed my tune as I realized I was still getting ramen. The ramen came out pretty quickly and I've got to give it up to the guys from 2 Nixons. Ramen is a delicate and complicated dish. To be able to execute it so well in an array of make shift kitchens all around town is pretty impressive. After tasting the lobster broth, I lost any resemblance of disappointment I may have had. In this giant bowl, you could also find the regular suspects of pork confit, a soft boiled egg, pickles, corn, scallions, and mushrooms. Everything was perfect together and I was tempted to get a side order of noodles to keep this dish alive, but honestly I was full after digging to the bottom.

Although the menu is limited (understandably), the dishes themselves are so packed full of flavor and yumminess that it more than makes up for the lack of options. I tried the Okonomiyaki which he did in a waffle iron, and it was so tasty! I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it blew me away. I would best describe it as Japanese comfort food with an American twist (thanks to the waffle iron). It was topped with all sorts of goodies (sorry I don't remember the details right now, but I want to say there was like brussels sprouts and cabbage and bacon (I mean, come on, so good!). The Kimchi Burger was quite a contender as well. A really thick, seasoned beef patty, cooked to a perfect medium rare, oozing with sharp cheddar cheese sauce, homemade pickles and kimchi. I think I may have blacked out for a second after taking my first bite. I know his menu changes often, and you can bet I'll be back to try out some of the ramen in the future!

Before before getting to the food, the space was inviting and had a lot of cool touches. And the service was great! My wife, youngest, and I shared a number of plates. The tuna melted in your mouth and the flavors from the coconut-leche dressing, ginger, and jalapeño, as well as the fresh mint, added to the flavor palette. I didn't try the Lumpia because it is skinny spring rolls made with ground pork. My wife and youngest said they were great in really enjoyed the taste. The Laing was a vegetable dish involving creamy brace kale with garlic, ginger, and coconut milk. Of course it sounds different and it was, but in a really good way. Again, the way the flavors worked together was really great. The last dish we got was the Curry. It is grilled red snapper with braised, mung beans, tempura sweet potatoes over coconut red curry sauce and rice. It was so good. Again, the flavors in this dish were amazing.
