I got married there in June 2024. The venue was great for what we wanted for our special day. Chip, the manager was great to work with all during the process. He was very transparent and the contract was clear. When we sent an email he responded immediately. The venue offered all the decorations we needed for the tables. He allowed us to come in the day prior to set-up some of the items we brought in for the event. We hosted both the wedding ceremony and the reception there. We had the option for either an indoor or outdoor ceremony. The venue was very clean and spacious. They offer a variety of food options mostly buffet style with an open bar with some great beverage options. Both were outstanding!! The staff was very professional and patient. On a chaotic day you want a vendor/venue to help everything flow smoothly. The venue offers a room for the bride and bride-maids an other room for the groom and groomsmen. read more

Nice lookinb venue. The parking leaves something to be desired. The bartenders were great. The liquor selection was a little bit small for such a fancy place. The food was at best mediocre. The space of the venue was good. The pass around food was not passed around properly. Overall, would I book something there, probably not. read more

I rented the Queen Room here for a corporate event. It went very well. The feedback from the group in attendance was wonderful. The space is decorated beautifully. Everything is just lovely. You can see from the pictures that I posted that there is a sort of opulence. It has a wall of windows that opens out onto a patio that makes this a great venue for any type of gathering. The staff was accommodating and tried hard to anticipate my needs. I would say overall, it was a solid 4 star effort. I saw a few of the servers fooling with cell phones, and some attendees complained the bar service was a bit slow. I personally had to wait about 45 seconds that no one was at the bar. It was long enough to be a bit annoying, especially when the bartender comes out looking at her cell phone. The food service was beautifully coordinated, and the table service was super. I can't say enough good things about how quickly everyone was served. I heard many positive comments about the quality of the food. I would absolutely use Royal Palm again. read more

I was driving home last night, and I saw this advertised on an electronic billboard: Murdery Mystery Dinner Party at the Royal Palm, September 30. Oh Em Gee. I so love those. And then I went to the website and saw the film-noir-y picture they have for it, and realized it's probably costume friendly! If not, well too bad, because I'm wearing my film noir red dress, and a hat, and my old-timey mystery dame shoes. I haven't been to one in years and years, and I've never been to one in the NOLA area. This is so awesome. And really, the Royal Palm is a perfect swank-fest venue to host this kind of thing. I mean, you should host a murder mystery dinner either in a place that can pass as a speakeasy, or at a creepy mansion, or at The Royal Palm. It's like an upscale casino in there. Perfect. Then, when looking on their website, I saw that they also (on a separate day) have an adopt-a-thon in cooperation with the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter. So I guess there's going to be dogs out there. I'm all about the animals, but I'll be out of town those days, so I'll have to remain kind of curious how that's going to work, logistically. But anyway, I am way into the murder mystery dinner concept. Even though I haven't been to it yet, the fact that they're doing these goings-on bumps the Royal Palm up a notch for me. read more

I had my wedding here and it was truly and amazing place. No one had any complaints. The food was the best the place was gorgeous, only thing was the cake we got from somewhere else because they only dealt with one baker and only did one type of cake and I wanted bigger so I went outside and they were fine with it that was the only issue other then that no problems . Highly recommend them for a wedding. read more

I was invited to a wedding where the reception was held at the Royal Palm. The decor and style of this place is really nice. High ceilings, fancy looking bathrooms, and nice chandeliers. However, the catering was not up to par. Everything was ok or below average. I mean it's a nice place and so in my mind I was anticipating some good food, but sadly it was a disappointment. The first plate was chicken tacos. If you look in the pictures, there's a slither of a piece of chicken and it was cold. The second plate was salmon with stuffed crab surimi (or something like that) on top of a bed of salad. The only decent dish here was the lobster in garlic butter sauce. Two stars for the decor and lobster. read more

The food was good, what they put out. The next day we went back to pick up pictures, etc and they offered trays of food they didn't put out. Many guest never ate. The bar service was slow and poor, they could not make screw drivers because they forgot to order orange juice and this was after we paid for a premium bar. The event coordinator was dressed in slacks and dress shirt un-tucked. There were 2 events at one time and our premium food buffet was better then the other so those guest came down the elevator to raid our buffet and went back upstairs. The detail officer was nowhere to be found. A guest tripped over something left on the floor and cut her head needing stiches after about 5 minutes the detail officer was found smoking with another guest in the parking lot watching the LSU football game on his laptop. The meat carving station was staffed by someone who claimed to be a bartender and handed the carving knife to the guest and told them to cut what they wanted she was a bartender. read more
