Super nice staff. Place was pretty empty when I did a walk in on Wednesday around 4pm. $30 for basic pedicure. Free alcohol drinks!!! 1-2 drinks per person max. This place would be fun to have a bridal event or bday. They did a nice job on my toes.
So my friend and I came here once before, probably 3 weeks ago or so. She usually gets a full set and I get a gel manicure, I pick at my cuticles so it's mostly for the manicure. Last time we came her set was super pretty and they did a great job on mine too. We went again yesterday and omg. The lady offered me a hard gel add on for $10 and I added paraffin wax to my pedicure for $5. It took over 2 HOURS and just everything looks hideous. When we got back from the salon we could really see how everything looked. I paid $110 total, I added an eyebrow wax for $15. Honestly the eyebrow wax was the only thing that was good. She barely touched my cuticles and all the staff were standing around the two of us speaking another language super loud and pointing at us. My regular ass gel manicure was over $50.. wtf? My friend paid over $150!! Just for a pedicure and fill. All the pretty pictures on here must be from the old owners. Never ever ever again lol.

Be prepared to have someone not listen to what you ask for. Be prepared to be offered all kinds of upgrades you don't want. Be prepared to disinfect all the cuts you are going to get. Other than them covering the spa pedicure bowls; all other tools, towels and surfaces of this salon are dirty. Never coming back. I asked for a gel manicure and somehow got talked into powder acrylic. I told her I wanted short round nails. I'm leaving with dinosaur point claws. With 3 cuts on my fingers and one on my big toe.

Their pedicures are what I continue to come back for every month! I get their most basic pedicure service and leave satisfied every time. The nail techs shape my nails nicely and color application is perfect so that every pedicure lasts about 4 weeks, and I am not careful with my toes at all. The best part is the superb foot massage of the pedicure - please continue to keep up this level and length of foot massage! It is what sets them apart and keeps me coming back + referring my friends! The interior is spacious and clean. They offer you refreshments and snacks - stellar customer service! I love that they have a menu of their services and do not try and up sell you. Their color selection is quite extensive as well. A stamp card is a great icing on top. Will continue to visit for my monthly pedicures!
They take walk-ins but it's best to call ahead. Their staffing is not back to pre pandemic level so you may need to wait a bit either way. I went in for a regular shellac mani and regular pedi. Very happy with the quality of work from Mei. No sneaky up sell on the service.
I like this place and I come in when I am able to but it is extremely difficult almost in possible to schedule an appointment I think they screen their calls when ever I call from my work phone which has a 415 # nobody answers when I am finally able to call on my personal phone which has a 510 area code they answer I'm not sure the reason behind this so I guess it best to just walk in & take the risk beside this their service is pretty good

He and the crew opened a bigger, better and beautiful nail salon. Customer service all the way around. With no appt I walked in and had a brief wait- maybe 10min tops. Was offered a drink while waiting and chose my polish. Jumped in the chair and the pedi was amazing. Treats, massage, hot stone ... it was great! Location- on the corner of Foothill / B St. Parking- street or parking garage across the street Price- average, fair Tip- dont forget to get your stamp card Michael and team-Congrats on the new shop!
This is a great place for a pedicure. This salon is big and very clean!!!! There is no chemical smell bc the salon is so large. They have a lot of new high tech chairs for pedis. There is also a huge bar for manis with built in drying stations. What really sets this place apart from others is their customer service. Michael and Sara are very friendly and attentive. They check and see how you're doing and offer snacks and drinks (they have a full bar and wide variety of snacks ). NGL I got a little buzzed there haha. The rest of their staff is also very friendly and listen to your requests. They really care about making you feel welcome. I got a pedicure from Jessica. She was gentle but did a good job cleaning my nails and big calluses. She also provided a really long massage. I would rate them higher but they are currently still looking for some nail techs that can do the fancier designs. PS they give stamp cards
Update to the update Sarah sucks don't let her do your nails. She has bad attitude after going back for her to fix the broken nail which broke only after one week of getting them freshly done. Twice!! Been at least 2 or 3 years since I've been there.
I had to remove the photo of the nails I found online to show them what I wanted, because these fools were using it as if it was their own work shows how money hungry people are instead of actually learning how to do good work themselves. Nails came out good! I got a new full set with pedicure. The only thing was that they didn't do any prep work on my hands or cuticle removing. I think you have to ask for that? Anyway, overall good work done. I wasn't offered any drinks, so I'm confused that they have that service? read more
Glad I decided to give this place another shot! Called the day of to make an appointment for a basic spa pedicure. COVID precautions taken: use of hand sanitizer after coming in required, masks required, social distancing between massage chairs, staff wearing masks, customers wearing masks when not imbibing in drinks (so glad they are still offering tea/wine/margarita for customers). Thao (forgive me if I misspelled) did my pedicure and did an amazing job! She was very gentle when pushing back the cuticles and around my bony prominences with the pumice stone. Great service, very affordable pedicure ($30), and efficient. I was in and out of the salon within 45 minutes. Keep up the great work Royal Nail Spa! read more

Royal Nail Bar is located in the heart of busy Hayward Loop. I normally hate driving into and through the loop but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do - get her DIVA maintenance on! Plus, I wanted to test this place out as a go-to-place for my nail needs. When you walk in, it's huge! Plenty of pedi massage chairs and loads of nail styling desks. They even took their BAR theme to another level by adding an actual BAR inside their nail shop. You can see bottles and bottles of wine lining against the wall. Good stuff! :) They have the best complimentary drink/snack menu in town! Chips, candy, tea, margaritas, wine, water and more! :) Good massage chairs - I can actually understand how to operate the machine. Most nail salons have plastic wrapped all over the remotes and I can't read through them. :) Meticulous detailing on the cuticles - I had a lot of cuticles to deal with and they didn't missed a single nugget. :) I love my mani/pedi gel outcome. Looks so purdy. :) Great massages - these ladies actually put pressure into the massages to make the blood flow through. :) There's a parking lot in the back of the building and it's FREE for 4 hours! Nice! It can use some improvements... :| Cash only - I get that small businesses don't want to cut ~3% of their earnings towards bank fees. But if you want your business to grow, then you have to start accepting credit/debit cards and mobile payments. It's the NOW, the wave of the future and you'll need it to really survive as cash is a dying breed. :| Like other customers, I too experienced the water running in the Pedi chair with no supervision. I had to ask the technician next to me to turn it off before it started flowing out of the tub. This just shows carelessness. :| The employees act like it's happy hour throughout my service. I mean, I had 3 people hovering over my chair just chatting away like a pickup scene at a disco club. Please, please, please shut the hell up as I'm trying to relax! I think one of the ladies saw that I had an annoyed face and shooed away the extra's that were not providing me with service. They got the hint from my resting and non-resting b* face! Overall, it was an A-OK experience. I'm not going to totally nix the idea of coming back but I want to continue testing other shops in the 94541 area code. There was one more drawback to this location, since it's situated on a busy busy block, you can hear the cars echoing throughout the shop when you just wanna relax. Perhaps some earbuds can solve for that (and solve for the happy hour employee chit-chatters). read more

Royal Nail Bar is at the corner of Foothill Blvd. & A Street. There's a public parking lot at the first driveway next to AT& T, if you're concerned about where to park. How current is this review? Waaay current...as in this morning at 11:15 am current . It's best to call ahead and make an appointment although they do accept walk-ins. It also helped that it is a Sunday. First thing I noticed is a sign that says "Cash Only". I don't know about you, but this stresses me out a little bit. While I tend to carry cash most of the time, I don't expect to see it at a Nail Salon. I was greeted by the owner who asked if this was my first time (it was) so he said that he'll take a credit card this time. Im a business owner too so understand that accepting credit cards can be costly but this is part of doing business and provides a convenience for customers. RNB might think about placing an ATM to lessen the inconvenience - just a thought! I ordered up a gel mani and a regular pedi ($50). I was given a drink menu. The draw to this place is that there is actual drink bar. They offer wine, coffee, tea. The wine is served in a wine glass but the coffee and tea in melamine mugs . A suggestion to add a touch more glamour? Serve coffee and tea in fine china . As with most nail salons, there's 2 people working on you. I have been getting my nails done for 29 years so I can probably say that I am nail salon snob . I know how I like my nails done and Im not shy to tell you. I like my cuticles clean, clean, clean and my nails short. The experience wasn't unpleasant but felt like the girl who did my pedicure was a novice. Those instruments are sharp and I was poked several times - no major injuries but it was painful nonetheless. There was a portion of my pedicure when I felt like my skin was being filed. I finally had to ask to cut my nails down more. Part of the pedi service is a sugar scrub and an extra long foot and calf massage - good adds. My gel manicure was almost the same experience in that my cuticles were not cut enough. People who have their cuticles cut down know the feeling of clean. I will likely see my grown cuticles in about 2-3 days time which is disappointing because I will feel like I need another manicure again. The two ladies were very nice though. One area that I am always thankful is when they can tell their customers just want quiet time. Im normally pretty engaging and chatty; not today though. I just wanted some quiet "me" time, and I got it so thank you for that little piece of heaven Royal Nail Bar. How did my nails turn out? It wasn't the best I've ever had but it wasn't the worst either. It was okay, and I can live with it until my next one. I picked 1 nail color for both hands and feet :Pearl Martini. Im pretty sure that they didn't use the same nail color because my toe nails look more silver than pearl white. Additionally, This is a pearlized nail color so usually when it is applied, even if it's not evenly applied, it'll still look fine- my fingernails could have been done better. There are obvious areas where it is uneven that cant be hidden. Now while my review is only 3 stars, I still gave them a 20% tip. Why? Because while my nails were not perfect, they were kind and customer service was good. I'll be back, and hopefully with that next visit, another star will be earned. read more

Update to my last post - The next day I returned to the salon and they were happy to redo my gel manicure. I picked a new color (red) and it's lasted for almost 2 weeks now (no chip). I appreciate their willingness to redo my set. read more

EDIT: Okay, I have been a faithful patron of Royal Nail Bar and accumulated stamp cards for "$20.00 Discount Or Free Basic Pedicure." I went in for a pedicure today and when it was time to check out, I gave the lady who looks like she's in charge $5 as a tip for the guy who did my toes, said thank you and was about to walk out. She then told me I owed her $5 and I was like what? She said since the basic pedicure was $25, the discount card was only good for $20. (I've used previous stamp cards for manicures so just applied the $20 discount.) Confused, I pointed out to her that the card said free basic pedicure and again, she told me it's only up to $20 so since a basic pedicure was $25, I owed her $5. Lady, your English isn't great, but do you not understand what "or" means? Annoyed, I just gave her an extra $5 to cover what I "owed" because I didn't want her to stiff the guy of the tip since he actually did a good job, albeit a bit slow, but at least he was careful and took his time to be thorough. For me, it's not about the money. If it doesn't cover a basic pedicure, then don't put that on there, or say UP TO $20 DISCOUNT, but don't put "or." I would've had no problem paying the $5 if the card said "up to $20 discount." But it's about principle of honoring what is written and I think business owners should honor what they say. " Mike, I have followed you from Megan's Nails to Royal Nail Bar when it was first opened and brought at least 20 people to you for services and I'm pretty disappointed in how things went down today. That's not cool. I have always enjoyed my time at your salons. I'm sad to say that you'll be losing me as well as my friends and family as customers. Print some new stamp cards. read more

What I liked, What I kind of liked and what I did not like. Service: Basic Pedicure with gel polish & Gel Manicure What I liked * Great massage chairs. * Hospitality: Was immediately greeted and offered something to drink. * Nail polish: They have a variety of colors to choose from including top brands such as OPI and Gelish. What I kind of liked * Massages: Both of my massages where okay. For my foot massage I kept getting scratched and for my arm massage I felt like my arms where getting pulled off lol What I did not like * Pedicure: Why only put foot scrub on my leg and not my foot also? Also both my toe nails where shaped crooked. * Manicure: Polish application on my left hand is messy. Four stars because it's the best nail salon in Hayward that I've gone to so far out of three other locations on downtown B st and I'm picky! read more

Honestly, I have been looking for a nail place for awhile and I will be going here from now on. Even though it's a little more than I usually spend, the work and the attention to detail is worth it. The place is nice and clean, and pretty unique. They have a full bar and offer you a drink alcoholic or non-alcoholic while getting your nails. I love this color and even though they weren't sure what nail shape I wanted, they kept asking me until it was right. The women were super nice to me and professional, they want to make sure they do a good job. I love the color selection and quality of them. A solid nail place to go in Hayward read more

I went to this place and got a great pedicure! But the manicure was sub par the nail polish chipped almost immediately. Maybe the lady forgot to put top coat ? I am not sure. I enjoyed the refreshments. The service was great! I will try it one more time and update my review. read more

I'm so sad to give this place only 2 stars! Especially when the customer service is really at a 10+. I've been in search for a nail salon where I end up becoming a regular and really had my hopes on Royal Nail Bar. I came in on a Sunday and waited about 15 minutes with no appointment. No biggie. Once I sat down to get my gel manicure done I was asked if I would like anything to drink which was nice. Clean place, cute decor. My complaint is the job my nail technician did. She was so nice but Yelp is a place for honest reviews right? My polish has a lot of bubbles and polish around my cuticles. I paid maybe $5 more than what I've paid in the past for a gel mani. Loved my experience here. I came here on the Sunday before Valentine's Day without an appointment thinking it would be busy. I walked in and I was taken care of right away. They offer you a drink when you walk in. Complimentary too! I really like the ambiance of the place. It's big, and I really like the bar style seating while I was getting my gels. I didn't get the name of the woman who did my nails but she did a wonderful job with my gels. I'm excited to show them off in Hawaii. I'll definitely be back ---- When they say they put their customers first. They truly do. I recently got gels but a few days ago it somehow cracked off and it really bothered me. I went in and mike was happy to have it get fixed for me. I am very grateful for their service! read more

Horrible they are actually an extension of Bella nails the owner parted ways with his brother and started his own nail shop I came here thinking the customer service might be better but no it's not! They couldn't even do a simple a simple design and when I asked the owner to help my tech he ignored me and told me that's his job! If you want a plain job with poor customer see with an exspensive price then come here but if you don't go else where. I go where my money is celebrated not tolerated read more

For the past 3 years, in spite of living in Hayward my usual nail salons were in Castro Valley. NOT ANY MORE!! I will definitely get my nails done at Royal Nail Bar from now on. I was impressed by their excellent service, clean and well-maintained place, and friendly staff. I called on a Sunday afternoon to see if they have any availability for a pedicure and I got a spot for 5 pm. I appreciated them keeping the appointment time and I did not have to wait a minute when I reached the nail bar at 5. I was immediately offered a free drink (loved the honey ginger tea). Adds a nice touch to the overall experience. I got the deluxe pedicure. No major complaints; maybe the message could have been a tad better. But very happy with the result. P.s. - they have a customer loyalty program. More incentive to get your nails done often. :) read more

Overall not a good service for gel manicure. I went in on Monday, leaning towards getting a gel manicure since I had previously gotten acrylics and my nails were still recovering. I chose to get shellac gel ($25), I noticed regular nail polish was ($15) and another better gel or at least it seems was ($35) I believe. I went with shellac thinking it wouldn't be much of a difference and it's gel anyways. While letting my nails dry I noticed the my thumb nail was not painted all the way, it was crooked from where my cuticle is? Another nail too but I ignored it and decided to just point out my thumb since I didn't want to make a big deal. The lady who was doing then for me then fixed it which I said thank you since my nails had already been done technically. I had gone with my sisters and my older sister paid tip about $6 for mine which I regret. I'm disappointed because it hasn't been a week yet, and five of my nails are chipped, mind you I don't do work that requires me to scrape my nails or have them break. Just now I was lifting off the bedsheets of my bed and I felt the gel of my pinky nail come off. How is that possible?? I've gotten gel before and never did I have them crack in the week I got them? Nor in the second week. I could've gotten regular nail polish and it probably would've chipped just as quick. Definitely will not be returning. Went in for a Mani/Pedi & this was my 1st time there. I've seen this spot & was always curious to see what it was about. Definitely going back!! They are so sweet! For the Pedicures, there are so many different options to choose from, with massages & hot towels, etc. Lee, was the lady who did my mani, I told her how I broke a nail the other day & you could still see blood. She was so careful the whole time with my hands & when the way she did the French tip....at first I thought she was putting too much on, then she went back with a brush to remove the excess white & her hands were so steady! I was amazed! Oh, did I mention that they serve cocktail drinks there while you're getting your nails done!! I definitely recommend this spot!! read more
We were not impressed with the Royal Nail Bar. The only thing appealing is the decor. We really hoped it would be our new go to nail spot. People were friendly when we first walked in but that was it. Once we started getting our mani/pedis the women helping us didn't say a word and instead had their own conversations. The spa pedicures were not relaxing at all. They were supposed to massage the scrubs on our legs but it was all over so quickly. They put it on, spread it around then rinsed it off. We were the only ones there so I don't know why it was rushed. My friend's toe nails were cut crooked. Smh They didn't even put our nails or toes under a dryer. Once they were done, they just said "Thank you" and walked away. Weird. The owner repeatedly told us to YELP him to help out his business but, if you leave a critical review, he answers defensively. Use the reviews to better your business not attack customers. Thanks for the margaritas, though. read more

First time coming to royal nail bar since they recently opened & I was blown away with how beautifully decorated it is inside! They have a bar and offer wine, teas, water, etc. all complementary! When they first opened a while ago I walked in but they said they were busy. No biggie, the salon was pretty full (pre-covid). This time I sent a message on Yelp as it was Sunday and I didn't want to waste a trip. Below is their reply. I show up 15 minutes later and all of a sudden they're busy and I should come back Tuesday! There was only one other person there and she was finished with her service, I walked in as she was paying. What is the price for a gel manicure?
The last time I went I think it was about in the 50ish range for one person. This is the basic service. If you want your arms and hands massaged with hot liquid and lotion this costs extra
