I had a Brazilian wax done by Davonda, and I honestly can't recommend her enough. I'm currently pregnant, and my doctor warned me that it might be more painful than usual--but thanks to her incredible skill and gentle approach, it wasn't painful at all. She is not only highly professional but also incredibly kind--truly like an angel. The whole process was quick and efficient, and she finished everything in about 15 minutes. I actually found her through ChatGPT and read all the reviews beforehand. Everyone had such positive experiences, and after going myself, I can say everything people said is absolutely true. I'm so happy I found her and will definitely be recommending her to others! read more

I can't not give enough good stars! The place is sparkle clean, she has a TV for your entertainment and it's very quiet and private place. The work was impeccable one strip took almost all hairs therefore she didn't have to go back and reapply wax. I'm so happy with the results I went ahead and book my next appointment. Definitely coming back every time! Thanks for the conversations it definitely help with the pain! I had a Brazilian bikini. read more

10/10 experience! The day of my appointment, I was pretty nervous. As soon as I entered the room, Davonda made me feel SUPER COMFORTABLE. I loved her! I usually go somewhere else but my go to girl is moving so I was looking for a new water and I'm glad I came across Davonda. She made me feel really comfortable, it felt like I was just chatting with friend. I am definitely coming back to her 10/10! read more

TL;DR - Great customer service, great results, parking in the back. So happy to have found Davonda on Yelp! She was easy to book with. Parking was a little tricky, as the driveway is small and hard to see going down that busy part of A st. She's on the third floor of the building. Davonda is very friendly and made me feel comfortable. We talked about the service and then she got to work. The results were silky smooth skin! Davonda has very good sanitation practices. No double dipping into the wax and I watched her sanitize all surfaces. I'm always happy to support a small/women/Black owned business, so she's my go to waxer now. read more

My experience with DaVonda's waxing service was amazing! I'm impressed with her attention to detail and how she empathized with me for it being my first time to get a Brazilian. She was personable and easy to talk to; I felt like I've been going to her for years and I will continue to go to her for as long as she is local! Her pricing is hard to beat and her station is sanitary and organized. I give my experience with her 5 stars because her service is truly above and beyond. I felt so comfortable, I don't see myself going to a mainstream waxing salon at all in the future because I don't think they'll give as much care as davonda. Thank you Davonda! See you in 5 weeks! read more

I love Davonda & she has only waxed me once! Like I've been looking for a waxer since I moved to the Bay and she is my waxer! She made me feel super comfortable, she confirmed my appointment, I have to make a last minute time change and she was just so cool and down to earth. Her space is roomy and super clean which is a plus. We were talking like we knew each other and I just met her. I was in and out. Book with Davonda! read more

Took my partner here to get waxed so I'm leaving this review on her behalf. Her words were exactly as follows -- "this is the best waxing experience I've ever had! I have been getting waxed by Davonda for almost 6 years, since I was 18 , she is such a wonderful , kind person since the day I met her and she continues being a super happy, POSITIVE ,full of energy and ready to work person, always proving me with the most Perfect wax ever ! She is a perfectionist and always goes above and beyond to make her clients happy. During the beginning of covid I refused to get waxed by anyone else. No one can ever take her place. Called last minute to get a Brazilian wax on a Sunday 1 hour from closing time and to my surprise the phone was picked up right away and I was able to get an appointment. I have had many waxes from various places before but this one was probably one of the least painful and quickest waxes I've ever received! Probably in part due to Davonda providing friendly conversation. And due to the fact she doesn't try to rip 4 great big patches for the sake of efficiency, she'll do multiple smaller areas instead which is just waayy less painful. Great experience, will come back here for another wax soon. read more

First time client. Davonda provide quality and efficient service. I will definitely be booking again.

I Janet her through my friend recommendation and I'm glad I did. She's very friendly, professional, fast and most of all I didn't feel the pain, that I had experienced in Salon waxing. I was bracing myself lol but I was surprised it was not painful at home. I would give her 10 if I could. I will booked her again. Thank you so much Davonda you are amazing. I would recommend you to my friends too. read more
