Waiting in a corporate Fed-ex center etc is a chore. Pack Rat makes it cute and fun. The line goes by adorable souvenirs & practical things like office supplies. 100% yes to affordably priced holiday colored sharpies! I found it because my printer was down. It's one of my new favorite places. Local Nola at its best. Growing up my Mom always called small businesses with heart and charm "we try harder places". It's not glossy, not corporate, it's adorable and the kind of place we see all too often disappearing here. I went in low key grumpy & in a hurry, left with a big smile on my face.

They'll ask you to make minute adjustments on where you stand, tuck your hair back more, and make sure nothing else is amiss! I wore a white shirt, and because of the white background, it made my head look like it was just floating there with no body lol. The photographer staff member noticed this and loaned me a shirt to put on over my white one! Above and beyond! Love this local mail/copy/photo center!

I hate to do this, but I've given Gentilly Mail more than adequate time to rectify a bad situation,…read morebut they have chosen to ignore me for 3 MONTHS now. I paid $205.44 for them to ship a $1,500 piece of art that I purchased from Renegade Art. They lost a critical component of the art piece itself and continue to refuse to respond to my contacts. They think that if they ignore the problem and remain silent, it will just go away. Both Rob Schmidt, the owner of the business, as well as Luz Lekrik, the Store Manager have been WELL informed of the problem and made the baffling decision to tarnish their store's reputation rather than fixing a simple problem. I even showed them how simple the solution would be, but they remain silent. Ordinarily, someone in my position would be quick to fire off one of those 1 star angry reviews we all see all the time and roll our eyes, but I will have to give them a little credit. The main piece of art that was received was very well packed, so I'll give them 3 stars for that, but the loss of the critical component, combined with their complete and utter lack of communication when the tiniest bit of trouble showed up earns them the loss of 2 stars.

Back when I used to think that it was important…read moreto pick out the right present for all the out of town nieces and nephews, I used Mailbox Express to ship the packages. It was easier than making the trek to the local UPS facility. They are agents for UPS, as well as FedEx & DHL. Give them the package to mail and they'll tell you how it will cost to send by each service. Never realized there could be that much difference on some of the packages. I don't use the package service near as much these days. The nieces and nephews are older and they much prefer Jacksons, which are always the right color and size, The another serious advantage is that there is a notary on site. I've used him for several legal documents. I have no complaints about the service and I keep going back.
