Do NOT trust Jeff! He is the most unprofessional, unorganized and dishonest person who claims to have "30 years experience as a contractor". He said a permit for the work was not really mandatory, so I believed him. I hired him to remodel my master and guest bathrooms and he had a very young, unexperienced guy to actually do the electrical wiring for a new cam light in my guest bathroom who did a bunch of wiring in my attic! I told Jeff about my concerns because I live in a townhouse with other homes attached and was concerned about the safety. There are numerous other reasons why this man should not be doing contractor work, including lying about the cost of the materials after I had already paid him thousands of dollars for those materials. I feel very lucky to have found Jeff and to have convinced him to take on my relatively massive project. Jeff and Parry helped execute a remodel on my kitchen and all 3.5 baths in my house. Start to finish they were in our house nearly every day for about 5 months. I know they had a lot of other projects going on but they always made me feel like a priority. Jeff is responsive, realistic, and reasonable. He sets proper expectations and he is VERY detail oriented. He helped me foresee potential issues and knew exactly what steps to take and what order to do things in to ensure a meticulously executed finished product. Jeff had excellent tile partners who did beautiful tile work all over my house. His main partner, Parry, who did much of our electrical, plumbing and woodwork, is absolutely wonderful. R K & B remodeled our small shower stall and tile floor dressing area. We were concerned that since this was a small job, perhaps most contractors would not be interested in coming out to make a bid. However Jeff offered and we were very pleased. He is very dependable and honest. He will show up promptly and if he's running behind, will let you know ahead of time. His crew is courteous and respectful the area they work in. After each day of work, they clean up and leave the area very neat. We were so pleased with our shower, it is beautiful!! The work organized by Jeff and the detailed work by his subcontractors and Parry was outstanding. My remodel started with my master bathroom which turned out incredible which then led to upgrades throughout the house: I had all new doors, trim, and baseboards installed plus hardwood floors refinished, new tile installed in kitchen, family room, and entry way. In addition I had all the rooms and front door repainted. The house turned out great. They were dependable, honest, and the detailed work was excellent. Jeff and his entire crew did a beautiful job on our bathroom remodel, and we are very grateful that we were able to get their services. Jeff was very responsive from start to finish, reasonable to work with, and kept us informed throughout. We started demolition a couple of weeks before the pandemic shelter in place order which meant we had to stop everything for almost 2 months, but he picked right back up the day after remodel construction was allowed in the county. Everyone on his crew wore masks while in the house per county regulations (and common sense) and were very polite and respectful of our safety. As other reviews stated, we had Parry in our house a lot to do plumbing, roof work, etc., and he was always so delightful to work with. We really appreciated his attention to detail and drive to get the job done right. Craig is a perfectionist and an artist in tile, and we enjoy his artwork every day. Watching the construction of the shower pan for our walk in shower, from framing to hot mopping and sloping, gave us great confidence that it was being done right from start to finish. The electricians and drywall subs also did a great job. Jeff gave us a very competitive quote, and even with the additional work we added on, ended up being a very good value for the quality of the work. We interviewed multiple contractors and Jeff left the most competent impression: his estimates sounded realistic both financially and in terms of project duration. And it was realistic: the project was on time, cost estimate was on the mark, and small unexpected issues were quickly addressed. This is an update on the review I wrote back in 2013. While Royal hasn't done another major remodeling for us, they have done smaller projects which has been very much appreciated. We had them remodel our two bathrooms 10 years ago. We hired them back to remodel the kitchen and half side of the house last year. The project is done now. We are very happy with their work. Our remodel is a very large and complex project. Our house is an old tract house. None of the wall, ceiling and floor is leveled. Jeff painstakingly goes over the details with us and keeps us informed on the progress and projected cost change due to unexpected conditions. Jeff always responded to our concerns instantly. Jeff from Royal Kitchen recently did our entire kitchen remodel (and more including floors and paint) and we could not be more happy with the planning, remodel process and results. We are so happy we chose Jeff for our project. We originally started the planning in early 2015 and we got bids from over 7 contractors. We liked Jeff the most based on Yelp reviews and meeting with him in person. Things came up and we weren't ready to start the remodel until mid 2016, and Jeff stayed in touch and helped us plan it out the whole time. After each day, they swept and cleaned up. I spoke to Jeff almost daily about the progress. I've done remodels before where the main contractor was there during the planning process, but once the job started we hardly heard from him. After interviewing 4 other contractors, we decided to go with Jeff because his estimate was very reasonable and we felt very comfortable with him. I had experienced my worst night mare with handyman matters they basically came to my house tried to remodel my kitchen and half laundry room and it turned out to be a whole lot of mess and more. I won a lawsuit and decided to move on and hire someone experienced and professional that actually knows what they are doing to fix up all of the mess handyman matters had created for us. So I called Jeff from yelp to come over and see what he can do for us. He did and boy I was glad I ran into him very professional and honest. Jeff just did a complete remodel of our front bathroom and we could not be happier with the results. Throughout the process he was very responsive to our calls, questions, concerns and ideas. He took time to bring sample materials to the house, met us at Lowes to see what we liked and give us suggestions on colors and materials. They are truly a great group of guys that cared about the work they did! It was a pretty big remodeling project and we were concerned about how long it would take and the final cost of the work. Jeff assured us that he would provide us with drawings, detailed paperwork, and help us with material selections. He is definitely a knowlegeable and experienced contractor and we felt confident with him. He was thorough from start to finish, from providing us with detailed paperwork to completing our project. After ordering material and finalizing paperwork our project started on schedule. The work included a complete kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, raising a low kitchen ceiling and relocating some windows and doorways. In addition we had Jeff and his team replace our interior doors, door casings and baseboards, remove popcorn ceilings, paint interior and replace the carpet with wood flooring.
