Extremely Disappointing Experience - Management Failed to Honor Its Commitment…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience with GOAT Plumbing has been incredibly frustrating, and I feel other homeowners should be aware of what happened. We hired GOAT Plumbing to replace a water line at our rental property in Riverview, FL. Unfortunately, the experience was problematic from the beginning. During the work, our tenants' internet line was cut, leaving them without service for approximately a day. The excavation trench was left open for several days, and we were initially told the delay was because we had not paid--even though we had promptly made both requested payments. There were also communication issues, confusion regarding paperwork, and a missed appointment. The biggest issue occurred after GOAT returned to backfill the excavation. Our water usage had dropped dramatically after the original repair, but on the exact day they filled the trench, our water usage skyrocketed again. The following day, our tenants discovered another leak. Photographs showed that the excavation was immediately adjacent to the pipe/backflow assembly that was now damaged. After discussing the situation with management, a manager personally inspected the damage and acknowledged that GOAT had more than likely caused the new leak. The repair was estimated at approximately $1,100. Management initially asked us to pay $600 toward the repair, which we declined. He eventually agreed that GOAT would cover the entire cost and stated that he would arrange for an irrigation company to complete the work. That was over a month ago. Since then, we have received no updates, no scheduled repair, and no response to our repeated phone calls and emails. What is most disappointing is not simply that something went wrong during the original job. Mistakes happen, and we understand that. What matters is how a company responds when something goes wrong. In our case, management acknowledged likely responsibility, promised to make it right, and then stopped communicating. We have been patient and reasonable throughout this process, but we are now left with unresolved damage and no indication that GOAT intends to follow through on its commitment. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend GOAT Plumbing. I would strongly encourage other homeowners to consider how a company handles problems after the initial work is completed, not just the work itself.

All we wanted was a maintenance call for what we thought was a full tank. Husband has called at least three or four times M-F during business hours and left messages, some labeled urgent and still --- nothing. If you want someone who will call you back or have a person answer the phone who can assist you with scheduling or relaying information either way, find another company. I'm not sure if it's the answering service that is the problem, or if it's the company itself that is the problem, but not being able to contact someone at all in a week's time is unacceptable. We called another company who said we have a different issue (not a full tank) which SHOULD be covered by our installers.....too bad we can't get them on the phone or in person. Replace a water stopper in bathroom sink 2. Replace a toilet fill valve that sometimes will not fill unless I tap it. No other issues. It took him much longer than I expected, but he finally replaced both! I was very pleased until I flushed the toilet. - there were 2 NEW issues now: 1. The toilet will no longer flush all the way unless I stand and hold the handle down for several seconds 2. Much weaker and lower pressure flush. I pointed out the issues right away and he said that nothing can be done because the toilet is old! Well... as I mentioned, it took him a while to replace the parts, but I really don't think that my toilet aged that much during this time! I didn't have those issues when my toilet was about a couple of hours younger. For the purpose of fair rating, I came up with a formula - 2 issues resolved at 5 stars each. 2 new issues he created are zero stars each. That leaves me with 2.5 stars. Yelp doesn't allow half stars, so I wrap it up to 3 for their timely response and I'll forgive him for calling my toilet old.

She gave me a 9-11 a.m. arrival window for Paul and said he would likely arrive around 10. She also provided a quote based on the information I gave her. Paul showed up right at 10 a.m., and I received a call about 20 minutes beforehand letting me know he was on his way. Paul was fantastic. He was very friendly, personable, and easy to work with. He even liked my dog, which is always a plus! I showed him the area where we were having problems, and he got right to work. He cleared my main line and, while he was there, noticed a few other things that needed attention. He replaced a toilet fill valve, capped my refrigerator water line from the water heater, and replaced a busted valve. He was able to get a lot accomplished in about two hours, and I felt the price was very fair (matched the quote I was given) for the amount of work he did. They do charge a small credit card fee, but I had already seen that mentioned in other reviews, so I was prepared for it, and it was minimal. Overall, I really appreciated the responsiveness, professionalism, and quality of service. Robin made scheduling easy, Paul did a great job, and I felt like I got a lot accomplished in a relatively short amount of time.
