I was contacted a year later by a new general manager, who addressed my issues, and promised a successful event for 2016. I booked our event with Elizabeth, who was beyond helpful and accommodating. I had so many changes with guest lists, and table arrangements, and Elizabeth happily accommodated every request. The night of the function, I arrived early and there were some things that weren't quite set up right, but the banquet supervisor worked quickly to get things in order. All the staff were very friendly and super helpful. I felt like they all had their A-game on. When there was a discrepancy on the banquet order about what time we had the room until, the supervisor was extremely accommodating. I absolutely love the "Top of the Inn". It's a spectacular room with floor to ceiling windows on both sides, overlooking the city. The room was renovated just a few years ago, and there are stunning sparkling led lights in the ceiling that really make it feel like your under the night sky. This would be a very romantic spot for a wedding. The food is always great here. Buffet's can always be hit or miss but they do a great job here. Many of the guests commented on the food. The banquet prices are competitive with other hotels in Edmonton. Out of all the Edmonton hotels I've held banquets at, or attended banquets, I really think that the Top of the Inn at the Delta is the most stunning. And after the great service we had this time, I won't hesitate to book again.

Before booking I inquired about having a mini fridge and we got a room which had that for us. Communicating at the front desk and messaging through the third party site I booked with went very well. However there were a couple things that could've been improved our experience. Our room was pretty much spotless when we arrived, but there was a red piece of hair left on the sink in the bathroom. Both my boyfriend and I have black hair. Also, I wish both bedside tables had outlets available. There were only outlets available on one side, and more outlets by the desk so it was a little inconvenient. Wifi had pretty slow moments, and sometimes the wifi would disconnect randomly so I'd have to wait for it to reconnect again. There was one night where the vent was blowing smelly air. We checked our bathroom, bathroom trash can, and I even questioned my boyfriend because of it, but we were certain it wasn't us or coming from our room. The smelly air would blow every 30 minutes or so when the vents would come on. We were contemplating on telling the front desk but it was so late at night, like 1:30 am and we were exhausted from the whole day. It was also our last night too before check out, and we weren't willing to move all our stuff to relocate if we needed to. We ended up falling asleep and didn't smell it again the next morning. Lastly before I checked in, my boyfriend and I kept calling the phone number but the line always sounded busy. We probably called like 7 or 8 times in one day spaced out. Luckily they're pretty good about responding on the third party site but it would be nice to call someone before arriving. We were in the Standard room but next time, I'd be willing to try rooms on the Concierge floor. Despite everything, I really loved the service and employees we came in contact with. It definitely was the most memorable part about staying here along with the view.

But the location was perfect and the price was right (comparable to the Courtyard and much less than the JW). But it turned out that we were blown away by how nice the Westin was. The rooms were wonderful with a Westin bed, ample storage and a luxurious bath/shower. The staff was warm and efficient and there was coffee/tea every morning. We had complimentary breakfast and while our first one suffered from some things that had been left to cool in the buffet thereafter we ordered a range of very tasty items from the menu. And the pool and gym were 24/7 - a welcome change from most hotels in the US. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

There was also no privacy; strangers could easily walk in and around on the first floor. For companies hosting events, you should consider the attendances and take extra steps to ensure privacy. The University of Alabama really loves this venue which is ridiculous. I won't be attending any of their events anymore. And I had to pay 27$ for parking!!!!!!

There was a registration table in the lobby area. The lobby looks clean, and modern. The lamps were funky and there were several couches and a TV. They also have a TV with the airplane departures on it. Outside of the meeting room, they set up a coffee/tea area. It was a cramped with eveyone getting their drink. They ran out of hot water, but one of the participants let the staff know and they were to get more. The room was set up with chairs on each side and an aisle to walk down. There were coat racks at the back which was nice. The chairs were set up a little too close together so we moved them out as there was still room for people to walk by at the ends. The temperature of the room was comfortable and there was counter space on the side if needed. The washrooms are about 5 stalls that are unisex. There's one handicap stall and the others are a little tight for space inside. For meetings, I could see there would be a line up to use the facilities. There's a White Spot on site so convenient if you don't want to go out. There's free parking too. Seems like a decent hotel and looks clean and modern.

Two small gripes (1) the bathrooms do not have exhaust fans (this surprised me since it was a new building), and (2) the thermostat is in fahrenheit only. I know the hotel was likely designed in the US, but we speak Celcius here!

If you're looking for places in Edmonton, it's pretty center to a few of the attractions that you can go to. Additionally there are some great restaurants down the street as well. Highly recommend asking the hotel front desk for their recommendations. Sabro was amazing!

The bed was quite comfortable and the sheets were great. The room had two TVs, one in the bed room and one in the living room. There is even a DVD player in the living room. There was blackout curtains, which was a plus. The pool was ok, very small, a nice temperature, but there was no hot tub. The only downside was it was a bit noisy. I could hear the people in the room above me walking around and flushing their toilet. All the staff that I dealt with were very nice and polite. There was free popcorn in the lobby and microwave popcorn in the room. All in all this was a great hotel, great room and great experience.
