I called and told them my situation, I was told that I would get one room refunded, 20 minutes later I got a call and it was the manager of operations and he told me to keep warm and said that both rooms will be refunded. all my future stays are going to be with the deit's centre suites. read more

While in Edmonton, for our first two days in Canada we stayed at the Delta hotels. This hotel is located in the middle of downtown Edmonton, so there was not as many people as we expected. The hotel is located attached to a mall, so there was parking right outside. Overall the hotel was nice, but not as busy as we assumed as it was summer break for everybody. At the front desk we are able to check in and get to our room. We got a suite so it was a bit interesting of a layout, with the living room first and then a bathroom and small hallway then bedroom. If you're looking for places in Edmonton, it's pretty center to a few of the attractions that you can go to. Additionally there are some great restaurants down the street as well. Highly recommend asking the hotel front desk for their recommendations. Sabro was amazing! read more

The Delta was the hotel we stayed at during a recent visit to Edmonton. They are located in the Edmonton City Centre, a mall. They are walking distance (for non walkers like me and my family) to both the Ice District and Rogers Place. Check in was quick and easy. My wife had requested a room with an "outside" view. Because of construction, they convinced her that an "inside" view of the mall would be better and quieter. We were given a suite on the upper floor with a great view of the merchandise inside Hudsons Bay and Fionn McCool. Our room itself was a nice suite. It was a nice seating area with sofa and bar area. The had a refrigerator for us to use. The bedroom was roomy and had everything we wanted with 2 queen beds. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had its own door. It was a nice room. Parking was "available" in the parkade of the city center. It was nice until Saturday when they had a car show. The car show took up the entire parkade and did not leave until after 10 PM when we came back to hotel. It was virtually impossible to pull into the parkade to get to our "reserved hotel spots" with the car show. When we called the hotel there was no offer from them to drive up to the valet. Instead, they told me to circle around the full parking lot. When a hotel can warn guests that they will be fixing the plumbing, the should be able to inform guests the parking will not be available. The parking situation and they way they handled it was unacceptable. This Delta Hotel did not have a pantry or concierge lounge. Instead, they turned a conference room on the upper floor into "restaurant" that was open every morning. They had a nice buffet every morning with scrambled eggs, meats like sausage and bacon, fresh fruit, cold cuts and drinks. It made for a nice hotel breakfast. The staff was was nice, except for the one person who answered my phone call from the parking lot. Everyone I encountered greeted me. Housekeeping did their job. It was a nice hotel. But, the parking situation and the way the handled it was unacceptable. 3 1/2 stars. read more

I stayed at this hotel about 10 times over the course of a year for work. The location was top-notch, inside of the city center mall. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. Though the hotel was going through some renovations, I never heard any noise during the day or at night. For platinum Marriott members, I frequently was upgraded at the hotel. The room service breakfast was a bit limited but always tasty. The rooms looked pretty modern with accent lighting around the bed. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet, a nice respite from the noisy downtown. Taxis can be easily found outside the lobby. The manager even set up a meet and greet with my group because we've been staying so much. It was great to see their future plan to add a new cocktail bar. I would definitely stay here again for work or for personal travel. read more

The Delta hotel and suites - downtown Edmonton was my home away from home base for the 2015 Edmonton marathon weekend (8/21-8/23/2015). First time in Edmonton, Alberta for anything. I found the Delta Hotels on hotels.com and found them to be quite reasonable - considering how the CAD/USD exchange rates were these days. I've learned that the Delta brand is all over Canada and recently connected with Marriott. Upon arrival to the Delta hotel and suites - downtown Edmonton, my friend and I were a little surprised that the property was connected to a shopping mall. It was cute and very convenient for those who want to be close to shopping areas and in close proximity to downtown Edmonton. It was at check in that the front desk guy mentioned the Marriott connection with the Delta hotels brand that my friend quickly mentioned her Marriott Gold Elite status, which interned granted us a 4pm check out and a room upgrade FREE. Talk about amazing!! The overall experience was pretty super. I stayed in room 612. This Delta hotel and suites is located in downtown Edmonton, AB. It was basically prime location for the Edmonton marathon, as the start and finish line was basically couple of blocks away, so I can limp back to the hotel after finishing. The connection to the City Centre shopping complex is a good concept, but for me, I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to hotel properties - where the building stands alone unattached. First impressions were made when stepping into the lobby. That usually sets the ambiance, then the front desk at check in. The Delta Hotel and Suites hotel was fantastic in the way we were treated. They had paid private parking at $29/day and $19/day CAD, which was reasonable, given that it was downtown. They accept major credit cards, so that's always a plus. The room itself was quite nice - after the upgrade, I felt like a superstar! It was a suite. My friend took the sofa bed while I got the master king bed (since I booked it). The bed was very comfortable and got a great night's sleep for each night I was there. I can't comment on the amenities on the property, since I didn't use them. The room itself was perfect, with 2 televisions in the room, divided by a door. Room was definitely clean and spotless. The air condition was nice and crisp. The check out process was fast and grateful for the 4pm checkout. Thank you to the staff of the Delta Hotel and Suites - downtown Edmonton for finding my iPhone charger plugged into the wall 2 hours after check out. I had freaked out about not having it and I called them to see if I had it. Thank god they did have it and I'm glad that they were able to retrieve it for me. The service here is impeccable and I'm glad that I booked my stay here. Definitely recommend anyone visiting Edmonton to stay here, whether it's for the annual Edmonton marathon or anyone who is vacationing or passing through. definitely well worth it. I assure you! Me and my hunny did an overnight here just for a bit of romance and to avoid having to go home late at night from a party we were attending in their conference room. The hotel itself is in a great location. Being in the mall you are just steps away from places to eat as well as stores in case you forgot the odd thing at home for example your toothbrush. The staff all seemed very nice and if your a tourist they are all pretty well versed on everything to do with the city and can easily recommend great tourist spots. Yellow cabs,Co op,and airport taxi all frequently pass at the hotel entrance making it easy to get where you are going if you did not come with a car. I am told the parking rates here are not good so if your Edmonton locals like us just looking for a night away it would be advisable to leave your vehicle at home and take ETS or a cab down. The room was pretty standard for what one would expect. The bed was super plush and they make their beds with wonderfully cozy duvets. The television comes with the typical pay per view movies as well as Nintendo 64 which I thought was really neat. Our room was the Jacuzzi room and while it was a wonderfully bubbly relaxing experience the tub in their standard Jacuzzi room is smaller then what I am used to seeing at other hotels. You have alot of choices when it comes to staying in downtown Edmonton but you can never go wrong when you stay at Delta. read more

Our office held our Seasonal Luncheon on December 7, 2017 at this venue. Roasted turkey, Boursin cheese mashed potatoes, dressing with gravy and real cranberry sauce. Medley of steamed veggies, Penne pasta with basil pesto with sundried tomato cream sauce. Greek, tossed and coleslaw salads. Butternut squash soup. Endless dessert table all served on beautiful silver dishes and cutlery. I felt like a princess in this buffet line, even the red onions were graciously designed like roses. So beautiful with white and red linen so fitting for our Christmas lunch. The chef and his staff were so organized and professional through out the service. Food TV would be proud of the presentation of all the delish foods on display for our hungry pallets. Thank you Marcie Styler, event manager and all Delta staff. Excellent work ! read more

You can get some pretty good rates here on expedia. The workers here were excellent. They went really above and beyond the call of duty. The location of this hotel is quite convenient. It's inside of a mall and only steps away from several restaurants and a movie theatre. Some rooms actually look into the mall. I found this very bizarre the first time I looked out my window and down on shoppers. I was worried they'd be able to see me at first! There is a fitness centre, but there isn't a pool. There's a hot tub, but it was a bit dilapidated. The rooms are quite spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable. The room service menu had many tasty options, but unfortunately the kitchen closed at 11pm so I was never able to order anything. Next time! read more

Not a bad place. I will say that. We had a one night stay with a brunch for two included and thought we would check It out for an in town getaway. The lobby is nice, the staff are friendly and knowledgable, and having the mall connected there you have access to lots of amenities. The room was comfy and clean. It was just that the decor called out from then 90's because the room had the same door knobs, tile etc that my parents' house did which was built in 1993. The furniture was pretty knew though. The duvet was awesome, kind of wanted to take it home - not gonna lie! A decent place, but not sure we would stay there for the money you pay. read more

Connected to mall so do run into fair amount of characters just outside of hotel lobby. I don't mind talking to anyone, but be aware pan handling requests are common place. Unfortunately the mall itself closes at 6 mon-wed and at 8 on T-F with reduced timing on weekends. This can be annoying if you come back from work late as you will be hard pressed to do anything. There is a Casino within a walking distance so that's good thing. You can also take the airport shuttle here so that's another plus. I have stayed here numerous times and the rooms can vary a lot. Some are outdated some are new and the signature suites are great. Beware though if you come here during the holiday season the restaurant was closed as they had no staff! The lobby is nice and well appointed. The concierge was always helpful. There are plenty of inexpensive parking lots nearby so you might want to consider those (the open parking lot in the evening is very economical) They do offer a parking with in and out privileges if you are inclined. booked into a king suite on the 7th floor...had a nice view, room was really large. Totally needs an update... Tiny tv in the living room with a pretty stained up sofa. Tv in the bedroom was an old fashioned one from the 90's. My room had no hot water... lovely. considering one of the first things you do after travelling is shower.... When I told the front desk there was no hot water, it took over an hour for them to send someone to check things out... Still, not hot water. The front desk lady offered to bring me a kettle.. Seriously... a kettle. to fill the tub. What the hell??? I finally convinced them to switch my room... The new room was bigger, older, but had hot water. Although, the tub was dirty. I won;t be staying here again. $179 a night. Could have had a better experience at a super 8 read more

This hotel was very good. 4.5 stars but that's just because our king size bed was hammocky. Good location, connected to a mall was nice. We upgraded to a suite so a living room, free parking and free buffet breakfast was nice. I don't know if I would have paid $17 for the breakfast though. Now the staff.... James at the front desk the hard working silver haired gentleman was amazing! Seemed like he was always at the desk no matter what time we walked by. Super friendly super helpful always smiling. He alone is enough reason to check in. I think my girlfriend liked him more than me. Ha ha. The waiting staff at Cocoas (the hotels restaurant and lounge were great also. I just received a call from the Delta Edmonton Centre Suite Hotel in regards to my review. They were very respectful and extremely apologetic in regards to the unexpected double room upgrade charge, and have sent me a complimentary stay to make up for their poor handling of me as a client. We had a very productive conversation about all of my concerns, and they will be having a meeting with their staff in regards to how upgrades are offered and to how client concerns are handled. In regards to the out of date elements of the hotel, they infomred me that they will be doing a major upgrade in the very near future. For now, they certainly are the most competitive option downtown and I will acknowledge that this is very good for business men and women travelling to Edmonton. Thus, they should be considered as one of your first choices, regardless of the CRT television (which you probably don't have time to watch in any case). I'm sure the upgrade will fix most of the age related issues. In regards to the kitchen serving me badly undercooked eggs, they were horrifed to learn this and have spoken to their kitchen staff. Hotel meals are typically more expensive, and for this reason should most certainly be of the highest quality, regardless of whether they are gourmet or standard fare. Overall, they have handled my sub-standard stay issue extremely well with a high level of client care. I have raised my review to reflect this and will be taking advantage of my complimentary night to stay to re-evaluate their service. read more

Nice hotel rooms with comfortable beds, but wifi is as good as non-existent and the breakfast buffet is terrifyingly overpriced. I stayed here 2 nights on a work trip, and for business travel the Delta serves its purpose: centrally located and all business. However, I wish they'd offer better food in their restaurant, particularly breakfast -- I was horrified a bare-bones breakfast buffet cost $17! If you want something to eat it's worthwhile to walk to 104st or Jasper Avenue for food. Room was very clean and well-kept, but a bit dated. TV was old and didn't have a DVD player! When I tried to stream video the wifi kept cutting out too. Gah. Was excited when I saw my bathtub had water jets... but they didn't work. If you're visiting Edmonton on vacation, stay somewhere else. If you're here for business, crash at the Delta but use the wifi at Second Cup =p read more

This hotel may have been nice when it was originally built, but despite some granite countertops in the suites, it needs major attention. Fixtures are very dated, and carpets and walls need replacing. There seems to be a lack of care. I wouldn't stay here again and would recommend friends look elsewhere. read more

Was very surprised after reading other reviews. Come here for work a number of times a year. Used to stay at the Sutton Place but last time it was horrible, elevators didn't work or was nervous in them, etc. Decided to change this trip - was recommend the delta Edmonton Centre Suite Hotel. Have since had clarification from friend that 'downtown Edmonton sucks (re-enforced by previous stays) - you stay downtown Edmonton because you have places to do work at during the week - don't expect anything outside the hotel.... hopefully this will change with the new Arena!! might bring some nice nightlife... read more

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last 2 months. Both times the stay was a great experience. The staff is outstanding in every aspect of the hotel from housekeeping, to the front lobby, to the dining room. They were able to accomodate special meal requirements without any difficulty whatsoever. The staff at this hotel was not only helpful and well informed, they really went out of their way to make my stay more pleasant. The staff will help you with any requirements in terms of shuttles, taxis and take care of your belongings after check-out. You are treated as a person, not just another customer which is very refreshing. The rooms themselves are comfortable, clean and well equipped. The proximity to the mall is a delightful bonus. This is the best hotel experience I have enjoyed in many years. I will make this my first choice for any future stays in Edmonton. It started with the Conference Service Manager who was very personable,professional...and was in constant touch with us throughout the process.Continually showing us how much she wanted our business.There was always a big smile,hello,can we help you...from each and every housekeeper,maintenance personal,front desk that we met throughout our stay.For the banquet the management continued the same friendly,personable,professional service. Catering to any and every need that we had.The employee who came into the hospitality suite (to check on supplies/straighten up) gave us her personal phone #. We were to call her if there was anything that we needed/or that she could do for us. That blew me away! I am now retired....but was involved in the Hospitality Industry for most of my working life. I am not easily pleased.Even though I did not stay in the hotel we had many delegates that did. They expressed their surprise at how much this hotel was a home away from home. I did give it a low score on the location ( for now) but that is going to change.The new arena and entertainment area is being built in the surrounding area....which will make this the ideal downtown location. Well, the room was good, customer service was decent and the restaurant was great, I got a suite and everything was clean and functional lol but at 2:00 am the fire alarm went off and there was no announcement on intercom so we had to go outside then the fire department came and couldn't get in cause they locked the doors so then to get back we had to walk 3 blocks in cold weather just to find out it was a prank xD.
