New roof
Aimee T.

I had a wonderful experience with Royal Construction. Lotam, the CFO of the company went above and beyond to come to my house multiple times to ensure we got the best deal for our solar units with SunPower. They installed a new roof for us since we had a huge leak prior to before. Lotam helped us a long the way to ensure we had the color of the roof match our home. They also updated pipes on the roof. We also had new flooring installed because of another leak on our flooring where they also did a mold removal. I was happy to have new updated flooring in our bedrooms despite the reasoning we had to do it. The project manager Marrell was great to work with. He was detail oriented and went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of the job was completed. I highly recommend Royal Construction. Roofing

Royal Construction took on a large project at our home to install solar panels on a Spanish tile roof. We have been turned down by many companies because it's a tougher job when it comes to Spanish tiling. Royal Construction took on the job and we had zero problems with the roofing that was provided. They took on harder and more tedious work that so many said no to and provided work that came out with a lovely completed roof. As the project progressed we were always able to reach out and get answers to any questions or concerns we had. We appreciate the care and communication we were given during the duration of the project

I am a homeowner thinking about the future and future cost of electricity. I decided to consult with Sagi and Royal Family Construction Inc. CSLB# 1082702 about a solar panel system and new roof installation. It was decided the best option for my house was the InvisiMount X-series by SunPower. We got the new roof installed because currently our roof is about on its last leg of its life durability. With that being said, I'm going to give two reviews: one for the roof installation and one for the solar panel installation. Roof Installation: Project Manager/ Sales Manager: Sagi is great when creating a vision of what your home can possibly be in the future. He can bring the Royal team to your home to explain construction, projection, and finances and anything else you might need information on. We hit a couple snag with the roof project, and I will explain this later, however; Sagi was exceedingly kind, understanding and professional. He sends his crew/man to try to fix the problem. Roofing Crew: it is hit or miss. I would have liked a more consistent team. They have somewhat average roofers but one excellent roofer. With this being our home, we want people fixing and renovating our home, who have passion and craftmanship within them. The team were ok, but no passion except for one. Roof: Overall installation of the roof is good (see picture attached). We had rainy days since the install, and I can attest that there are no leaks. The only problem we encounter was the roof shingle siding and caulking. The passionless roofer did not completely nail down the side accent shingles to the roof. Also, crew did not do or did not put enough used per inspector caulking to seal the metal flashings. Since we live in a windy area, the inspector wanted longer nails to applied on the roof. We have five areas we have exposed nails. Sagi is having a person to come out and remedy this issue, let you know if the issue resolved. He is also very responsive when sending his person to do housekeeping when the crew forgets as well as sending someone if you are not satisfied with the work. Star Rating: 3.75 out five Solar Panel System: Project Manager and Crew: Very professional, skilled, knowledgeable, and passionate. Plug-it In Systems Inc CSLB# 986882 installed our solar panels. The quality of craftmanship is excellent. We were incredibly happy with this team that arrived at our home. Very professional in scheduling crew to come onsite and notifying me about inspectors and Edison coming. Only reminder is to make sure who is turning the breaker on for the solar panel. Electrical Company or Plug-It In? We got PTO but the breaker for the solar panel was off and so the solar panels were not work. Something to check near the end of construction. Solar Panel: Overall the installation looks great, everything is perfectly installed from the rails, wiring, and solar panels. I cannot give an overall rating for how well it works yet but I will update my review once I have a general idea if "solar panels" are worth it. Star Rating: 4.5 out five At the end of the day, Sagi and Royal Family Construction was on top of things to try to give you quality product and work. I am incredibly happy with having Sagi as the project manager on this project because he really tired to give all we want and how we want it.

Air conditioner

Yotam was amazing from start to finish. We had solar panels installed and our HVAC replaced. He was available to answer all questions and made sure the project was done efficiently. I appreciate all the hard work and the fact that they pulled city permits adding a layer of protection for the company and me.

My solar project

Yotam and his team were great to work with. Good communication and very thorough. Everyone that came to do work was very professional and did exceptional work.

Solar outside

Issac and Mark along their crews did a great job. Each part of their work was thoughtfully carried out. In addition, the explanation of each portion of our solar system was discussed in depth as it proceeded. All people involved took the time to answer our questions and concerns. Bryan did a great job of doing a very clean installation of our vehicle quick charging outlet in the garage. Antasha was very prompt in returning calls from the office as well.

Their quote, plus their high reviews made them the logical choice, and we have no regrets. From the person who did the site inspection, Jose, to the installers, everyone seemed very friendly, respectful of our property/wishes, and it was clear they were experienced and knew what they were doing. Being up against a deadline, we really couldn't afford to fail the city inspection, and we passed easily. Thanks to the salesman Mark Howe for his direction, & to Henry Melling for a great design and implementation. We were not excited at the idea of having all that stuff on the side of our house, but honestly, the installation was so neatly done, with a few plants added over there, I'm sure we can acclimate. The battery placement in the garage was genius -- up and out of our way! Everything is functioning as it should, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend California Solar & Electric. THANKS to them for a job well done, and ON TIME!! We couldn't be happier.

Has a professional installation crew and executes flawlessly and everything stays on track. Incredible follow-up and will not try to upsell you like other installers. If you're looking to install solar, you should absolutely go with OneSun. Give Rose a call to at least get a consultation and I'm sure your interaction will immediately stand out from other installers. Installing solar is something I kept putting off. When I found out that the tax credit would be going away at the end of 2025, I realized I couldn't put it off any longer. One of the reasons I kept waiting was how annoying solar reps were. Clearly just sales guys who didn't actually know anything about the equipment, technology, and process. I did a bit of research on local installers and OneSun came up a few times, all with nothing but great things to say and especially highlighted the installer's knowledge and patience. Before reaching out to OneSun, I informed myself as much as I could to the point that I knew what panels I wanted, size system, even what inverters I wanted installed. My first phone call with Rose immediately proved that all of the positive feedback I had read was for a reason. She took the time to actually listen to the specifics of my project, what I was looking for, and what questions I still had based on my research. She took the time to answer every question and even went into the technical details that I was interested in. It was clear that she was extremely familiar with not just the logistics, but also exactly how a solar system works as well as the technical details of all of the components in a system. She had my business after that first meeting but of course I still did my due diligence and got a quote from one other local installer which also had similar reviews. Although the sales rep was very nice, it was clear that he was just a sales rep and only reinforced why OneSun was the installer to go with. OneSun's pricing happened to be better but even if the other installer would have come in at a cheaper quote, I would have still chosen OneSun for the install. Rose started the permit process in July and made sure that everything stayed on track, especially since I wanted to make sure that the system be on before the end of the year in order to qualify for the tax credit. The timelines she provided were right on point and the install was scheduled for September. About a week before the install date, there was an unexpected problem. The panels that were originally planned for my install had gone completely out of stock. There had been some kind of manufacturing issue and those panel would not be coming back in stock for another couple of months which could push the project out to the following year. Rose let me know she could acquire slightly larger panels for the project and install it on schedule. I was about to ask what the additional cost for the larger panels would be, but before I was able to, she let me know that there would be no additional cost to me. I'm sure any other installer would have used the situation as leverage to add additional cost to the project. A testament to Rose's commitment to her customers. On installation day, the crew was professional and efficient. They completed everything in one day and made sure to keep everything as clean and organized as possible. Towards the end of the install, I had noticed that they ran one of the grounding wires out from the attic and down the face of the house where I had planned on completing another project in the near future. I knew that the wire would need to be redirected if it was left there so I asked the foreman if he could run it through a different path. Initially he felt like it would not be possible given the layout. I reached out to Rose just to make sure and see if she possibly had another solution. About 10 minutes later the foreman showed me another possible option which was much better for what I needed. It may have seemed like a small thing, but that was another instance in which I believe any other installer would have dismissed my request as pickiness and told me there was nothing else they could do. Rose took the time to speak with her foreman and truly assessed the situation to come up with a solution that fit my needs. It took LADWP about 6 weeks to get my meter installed and for my system to be turned on, but it was still well before the end of the year (and yes, I just got my tax refund with that hefty solar tax credit). It's rare to come across someone like Rose who is honest, patient, and who truly has her customer's best interest at heart. Combine that with impeccable execution and communication, and there is no one else I would recommend for a solar install project. In fact, my parents are considering a small project and I've already told them about Rose/OneSun.

When I first contemplated getting solar panels for our house, the entire process looked daunting. I…read moredidn't know anything about the technology or equipment and I felt ill prepared to make any decisions about what our house needed. There are so many companies out there, it's hard to know who to trust. As soon as I did a few online searches, I was flooded with emails and texts from multiple companies with high pressure sales pitches. One company charged me $350 to do a site survey, just to get a quote for the project, then came back with a revised quote adding $7000 to dig a trench for electrical wiring due to "the location" of our electrical panel. I found OneSun on a yelp search and as soon as I spoke with Rose Avakian, I knew my search was over. This company stands out from the others. There was no sales pitch, pressure, or upsell. Rose explained the technology and equipment in a way that made it understandable and approachable. When her team came to look at our place, they found no need to dig a trench and simply connected to our existing electrical panel. Had they needed to dig a trench, the price they quoted was nowhere near $7000.  From start to finish, the entire experience was transparent, seamless, professional and expedient. The attention to detail and care the team put into making sure everything was done right far exceeded my expectations. If you're looking to go solar, look no further than Rose and OneSun. This is truly the best company I've ever worked with!

We did a lot of research going into this project and had a pretty specific vision of what we wanted -- including battery storage, system sizing, and long-term efficiency. The team was receptive to that from day one and worked with us instead of pushing a one-size-fits-all solution. Communication was solid throughout the process. As with any solar project, there were a lot of moving parts (permitting, inspections, utility coordination), but they kept things moving and were responsive whenever we had questions. Installation itself was clean and professional. The conduit runs and equipment placement were well done, and everything looks neat and intentional -- which definitely matters for a system you'll be living with long-term. We also appreciated how they handled the more complex parts of the project, including battery integration and working with LADWP for interconnection and net metering. That process can get confusing, but they helped guide it through to completion. System has been up and running smoothly, and we're already seeing the benefits in terms of reduced grid usage and better control over our energy. Shoutout to Omar and the team for getting us across the finish line. If you're looking for a company that's knowledgeable, flexible, and able to handle a more customized setup, Treepublic is a solid choice.

Treepublic came highly recommended, and we chose them in part because of Mr. Nasser's Yelp promise:…read more "We see each relationship as the start of a long-term commitment, and each project as an extension of our very own roof." Unfortunately, our experience has not reflected that promise. When I asked some simple questions prompted by my accountant, all communication stopped. After escalating directly to Mr. Nasser, our calls and emails have gone unanswered. We have documentation supporting our concerns and have sent a registered letter in an effort to resolve this matter privately and professionally. Our preference is always direct communication and correction, rather than escalation. Before proceeding with any installer -- or if you have already completed a project -- we recommend independently verifying: * Sales Tax: Double-check invoices. Were you charged sales tax improperly? Contact CDTFA for guidance (https://cdtfa.ca.gov) * SGIP Incentives: Verify your rebate application status directly through https://www.selfgenca.com and "Check My Application Status." * Permission to Operate (PTO): Confirm with your utility that your system was not energized prior to official approval. * Battery Configuration: Ensure discharge settings comply with manufacturer specifications to avoid premature degradation. We remain open to resolving this promptly and will update this review once we receive a substantive response.
