Updated review: Because their website, google, and yelp hours were posted wrong, I showed up 30 minutes after their "new" closing time the day of my event and was unable to wear my hand tailored Tuxedo and custom dress shirt, and had to spend $220 on a terrible rental. However, after I discussed with them, they were understanding and we reached an agreement that I felt was fair. Including me helping them update their hours online. Their dry cleaning work is excellent though. It would be five stars if not for this incident. read more

I rarely write reviews but I am so frustrated by the service I've received at Royal Cleaners that this felt necessary. They ruined 3 $100 shirts with sloppy tailoring and were unable to fix their mistake after 3 repeat visits. I have sunk too much time and money into these shirts that I'm just considering them ruined and donating them. Absolutely would not recommend to others and I will not return to this business. read more

This place is so wonderful. The service is always kind and prompt. They're completely up front with how much something costs to be dry cleaned. AND they have a great customer system (your # is your phone number) so handing off and picking up is a cinch. Whenever I've dropped anything off to be cleaned they take a look at it for stains, the material, etc., to make sure anything they need to communicate to you is done for right at drop off. It usually takes around 4 days. Prices are immensely reasonable for Harvard Square. read more

Contrary to what is advertised they don't accommodate same day requests. Gotta love false advertising!

I wish I found Royal Cleaners earlier! The owner is warm and enthusiastic and the service is quick and fairly priced. Best of all, there is free pickup and delivery on orders over $20! I once came by when the owner was out delivering orders and you can leave your clothes in the shoe repair store next door. Service Provided - 4 Experience - 5 read more

I first discovered Royal Cleaners on yelp a few years ago when I needed to get a dress dry cleaned for a wedding and they were able to get my dress to me in time and sent a text message when they were ready. When we had a fire in our apartment building, Royal Cleaners were able to get the smoke small out of our clothing and some leather goods. I started using them for weekly dry cleaning and wash and fold services and they have made the process so convenient. My fiancé texts the owner (I'm assuming) and coordinates a pickup time every week since our schedules vary from week to week and Royal Cleaners has always accommodated us. There are probably three to four dry cleaners between us and Royal Cleaners but they have always been our first choice! read more

Although I've been a long time Yelp user, Royal Cleaners' service has inspired me to post my first Yelp review because I love spreading the word on local businesses that are not only new but provide excellent service. I've been living in Harvard Square for four years and have been disappointed by every dry cleaner I've tried thus far, so I was excited to try this new place out. I'll be honest though, at first I had qualms about going here because it doesn't look like your average dry cleaners with exposed clothes hanging on conveyors, etc. Nonetheless, I'm glad I tried Royal Cleaners because they really aren't your average cleaners in the best way possible; their service is a breath of fresh air and has been by far the best experience I've had. The person I interfaced with (the owner I believe) is incredibly charming and helpful. Their service is fast and efficient and the best part is that they text me when my stuff is ready for pickup. I also appreciate the fact that their whole system is digitalized/automated and that they provide a nice laundry bag with a bar code so I can easily drop my stuff off with speed the next time I need cleaning done. No more stuffing my clothes in old plastic bags / boxes to drop off my stuff! read more

They tore a big gash in a custom shirt that cost $160 while laundering it, then sewed a big, obvious stitch across it and tried to give it back to me. The person operating the register when I came in didn't seem to know what to do and made no efforts to fix the situation. Eventually she took my number and said the manager would call, which never happened. I've switched to another place. Would still like my shirt back. (Also, before that, they'd duplicated my account because someone else had the same last four digits in their phone number. It was a huge mess and it seemed like this was the first time this had happened to them. It took probably half an hour of my time to get that straightened out.) read more

Moses is an incredibly kind and prompt businessman, and makes sure that customers are happy with the work and service they receive. It's hard to find a good dry cleaner, and after testing around the neighborhood, Royal became my go-to for three years before I moved. read more

These guys are good! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the last time I picked up my dry cleaning, they crushed several buttons on one of my shirts. I know it happens but they didn't replace them. Other than that speck of situation, I've been very pleased with this cleaners. Quick and fairly priced. read more

Unfortunately I had a very negative experience with Royal Cleaners. I brought in a jacket for dry cleaning and a repair of a small tear. Instead of taking 1 week, I had to wait more than a month to get the jacket back. After four weeks and three visits, I received a text message saying that they had accidentally broken my jacket. When first bringing in the jacket I had told the lady that it was an old jacket that was very dear to me as it belonged to my late father. Unfortunately the jacket appears to be beyond repair now. When I went back for the fourth time to pick up the jacket today, the man at the store made me wait and served other customers before me until he finally handed me my broken jacket. I won't go back and hope this review will get the owners to reconsider their practices. read more

My washing machine broke, and I followed yelp to Royal cleaners. The service is so good I'm procrastinating fixing the machine.

Royal Cleaners is great! The people are always friendly and their service is excellent and timely. (Price is the same as the places around) All of my clothes are always perfectly cleaned and they even let me know when they're ready. I live in the building and I recently found out that if you live here, they deliver to your door - another example of how they're willing to go the extra mile to make their customers happy. I recommend them to anyone looking for a responsible, friendly dry-cleaner in the Harvard Sq. or Central area of Cambridge. read more

Buyer beware! Having a shirt cleaned is $2.30 and having a shirt cleaned and delivered is $2.80. I just paid $20 more to have my shirts delivered from 1 mile away. Every shirt delivered is 0.50 more. I guess if blouses are more expensive to clean they cost more to have them delivered. They never deliver on time. They tell you that you will get the stuff this Friday and next Friday you end up calling and asking what is going on. Never going there again. read more

I brought a coat here to be dry-cleaned, after having searched through a number of disappointing reviews of local dry cleaners. The service was excellent! The owner was incredibly friendly, and sent me a text as soon as my coat was ready (which was earlier than he had estimated!). Royal did a beautiful job of cleaning my coat. It had been worn for two winters without being cleaned, and was stained, fraying and bobbly. It came back looking brand new, no bobbles, all stains completely gone, and the price was very reasonable. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Very fast and friendly service. They are not quite as cheap as the recently-closed Erin Cleansers, but I was so happy to have an alternative to Arrow I don't begrudge it at all. I recommend them. read more

Best laundry and alterations service ever. I was running tight on time in order to grab the shuttle back to my university which was leaving at 4:18. My pants would not be ready till 4:30 however the owners did the inpossible to go personally drop my pants near the bus stop. Needles to say I met them 4 minutes before having to leave and was able to catch my bus in time. THANK YOu VERY MUCH I RECOMEND THIS LAUNDRY PLACE TO ANYONE. ITS CHEAP AND FAST. read more

Amazing service. They texted when my clothes were ready and they offered to deliver when they realized I was walking and had a lot to carry. Their dry cleaning got out stains that my previous dry cleaner did not. Very conveniently located and friendly family owned business. This will definitely be my go to dry cleaner in Cambridge! read more

Hands down the best laundry service I've ever had. I have been using them for almost a year. Steven picks up my laundry bag and drops it off for me with literally 5 minutes notice, I text him and he appears. Amazing service, incredibly friendly staff, and overall extremely convenient. read more

I've been using their drycleaning services for two years and they're fantastic! They pick up and deliver anytime they're open and always return my clothes looking fresher and newer. They're also always able to get out stains. The service is amazing, and it's really convenient that they're open on Saturdays. Best drycleaning service I've used! read more

I have been going here all year, and it is wonderful! Steven, the owner, is extremely kind and pickup/ delivery is always on time. My clothes look great! read more

All of stuff came back still stained, smelling bad, and wrinkled. I'm not sure what they consider cleaning, but this was the worst dry cleaning experience I've had. read more

Best dry cleaner I've tried in Cambridge! Fast, courteous, followed cleaning instructions exactly. I tried Royal because they're close to my apartment, but I'll keep going there (or sending stuff there) even when I move. The computerized system (no keeping track of little paper tickets!) and the text messages to alert you when you can pick up your clothes are brilliant. read more

Exceptional service, extremely friendly and helpful, professional, and 100% quality. I really cannot say anything more. They text you when it's ready, they even offer delivery service, and they're super convenient. I'd give more than 5 stars if that was an option. Plus the owner who is usually there and helps is SO NICE and is a great guy, was so helpful and courteous and is always smiling. read more
