I tried Royal Chimney Sweeps because of all of these great yelp reviews. I called on Friday evening and left a message. The following monday I received a call from Armond. He was so nice! I told him what I was looking for and he gave me the prices. He was very friendly, didn't push me to buy more services but he did tell me what he recommended. I didn't feel like i was being hustled for money. I ended up getting the chimney sweep and a cap and top sealing damper installed. Armand scheduled me in and told me they would be there around 11-12:30. He was there at 11am and was finished by 12pm. Friendly and professional. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family and will be calling them next year! read more

Armand and Jack came on time and thoroughly cleaned my fireplace/chimney and the chimney cap from bottom to top. Armand gave me some very useful tips to keep the fireplace and chimney operating cleanly and efficiently. Great experience. Very fair price and great service. read more

This is the second time we used Royal Chimney Sweeps. The first time they swept the chimney, rebuilt the crown, and installed a new chimney cap. Today they installed a new clean out door. These guys are responsive, professional, show up on time, do great work, and are charge you exactly what they quote. Highly recommended. read more

Honest, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. My chimney was in bad shape but they did not pressure me. I will definitely be calling them next year and will refer them to friends and neighbors. read more

I tried royal chimney sweeps because his yelp ratings were very good and he did not disappoint. Armond was very knowledgeable and he and his crew kept a clean job site. I got a sincere and honest impression of him. His prices seemed reasonable although I didn't compare his prices with some one else's. I just figured if give him a try. First they cleaned my chimney and boy was it dirty. His arm up to his elbow was black. They aren't scared to get dirty. He insisted I put a damper on to save cost on my electric bill so that I won't lose any cold air or heat escaping from the chimney. I did just that and he installed it without a problem. Thank you guys. read more

Armand and Andre swept both fireplaces in our new home. Armand pointed out issues requiring correction which closely matched our home inspection report. He clearly and simply explained each deficiency and the corrective action needed. He also pointed out several things that weren't perfect but were safe and fine to leave as is. I felt like I was being given honest, professional advice. He offered several upgrades but without any pressure. We took a couple and declined one and it was very smooth. He also gave us good pointers on how to safely use and maintain both fireplaces. I give them an unqualified recommendation. read more

What can you say about this company. All good. Came right on time and had to wait a few minutes because it was my first good night of sleep in months. Great guy. Did amazing work. Clean, professional and very funny. I called him Shirley Temple and Dick Van Dyke. Shirley had to clean fireplaces in many movies because she was the poor child. And of course Mary Popins. He thought I was funny. So do I.... I will refer him to everyone. read more

I needed someone come out to clean our chimney and repair the damper on short notice. Armond was wonderful. He gave an estimate over the phone, came out three days later to do the work, and ended up doing it for less than the original quote. Excellent service! read more

I know nothing about chimneys or fireplaces, but felt very much at ease with Armond and Andre. They are honest and hardworking and accommodating of the rhythm of our family's life (sensitive to toddlers nap time etc) Many thanks to Yelp for helping me find this awesome local business! read more

Did a good job, stuck to quoted price. He'll be coming back to install gas fire logs. Would definitely hire again.

My troubles started when I turned on a gas log in a fireplace and inadvertently incinerated a raccoon who was inhabiting the chimney. My dog was going crazy, and the smell was unbearable. I contacted Armond at Royal Chimney Sweeps. He got back to me right away and came over the next day. After we set an appointment he kept me apprised of his schedule. I found him to be courteous and professional, and he definitely knew what he was doing, having had lots of experience with critters, alive or dead, in the chimney. He and his partner were able to extract the carcass and to clean up, and they gave me a very good education about fireplaces and chimneys. He advises and does not over-sell, and I accepted his recommendation for installation of caps for three chimneys as well as filling cracks that he found -- he supported his recommendations by showing my photos taken from the top and inside the chimney. I was so happy that I have asked Armond to come back in November to re-set the placement of my gas logs, which I apparently didn't set up right, and to make sure that I have functioning damper doors. The highest compliment I can give him is that his work gives me peace of mind about my fireplaces and chimneys, and the aesthetics of the caps was a pleasant surprise. A great job, and I very much enjoyed having him at my house. read more

I couldn't be happier with the service that Armand and Andre provided! I called Royal Chimney after the rain had been leaking into the house. Armand informed me that the leaks were most likely due to the lack of flashing on the roof, but I decided to hire them anyway to build a new crown, remove an old frozen damper and add a new one. They did a full cleaning and gave me other helpful tips about my roof and house. Armand was genuinely concerned about the water leaks and asked that I follow up with him after a roofer installs the flashing, despite the fact that his job was done. They were honest, helpful and really care about their job and customers. I highly recommend them! read more

We wanted to clean out our chimney so that we can enjoy fires for the winter. Called a different guy off of Craiglist and he came by, charged us twice the amount and when we started the fire, smoke filled up the entire house. So we called Armond at Royal Chimney Sweeps. I read a few reviews on here of people complaining that they don't have a proper phone system or was not responsive to telephone inquiries. This was NOT the case. C'mon people, it's a small business and i'm sure they don't have funds to hire a telephone dispatch staff to field calls. It's a small business where the owner performs most if not all of the clerical and office duties. If they don't answer the phone, it's probably because he's working on site. So get over yourself, chill out, and be patient. In any event, Armond did call me back within the hour as his message stated. Over the phone, he looked up our home on Google Maps and was able to give us a rough estimate based on the photos of our chimney and home. I scheduled an appointment with him 3 weeks out. Day of our appointment, Armond showed up with Henry and in half the time that it took the previous guy, they were done. Armond was very helpful in explaining how to best build a fire and maintaining it. We lit a fire and it's worked beautifully since. No smoke billowing into the house! Thanks so much Armond and Henry for your work! read more

I called them a day advance and Arman told me he was busy and would try his best to squeeze me in his schedule. I work for a contracting company and we had to finish the sweep asap he came out next day and finished it. On top of all that he charged me $100 where nobody else was giving me rates lower than $200. Great job. read more

Contract these guys! I had Arman and Danny work on my place--they assessed and handled the job professionally, and Armand was an absolute pleasure to work with. They were thorough, friendly, and very reasonable. The work--which included fire box repair, cleaning/ chimney sweeping, repair to the top of the chimney, and a new cap + damper was done quickly and efficiently--and for a reasonable price. I recommended them to my contractor and handyman, in case any of their customers needed a chimney specialist. read more

Very pleased with Armond and his co-worker. They came and cleaned an interior fireplace, an outdoor fireplace and also, my dryer vent. On time. Neat. And, explained all the possibilities to me. Armond also pointed out some exterior repairs that I needed to do and told me how to fix on my own. They will be called again for the next cleaning for sure! Plus, Armond loves dogs....that makes him cool in my book!!!! read more

Arman and Danny are AWESOME!! informative,, professional and kind. Thank you for a job well done! :)

A home owning newbie, this was my first sweep. Arman was great about explaining all the ins and out of chimney function and construction. He went through every part of the fireplace experience, adding lots of pointers and tips about what wood to use (hardwoods, but not pine), what kindling (use starters, never crumpled newspaper), which starters are most efficient (Weber BBQ), and how to make sure you know whether the flu damper is open or closed (hang a poker on it when it is closed). With great determination, Armand fixed our damper which may have been frozen open for decades. Now, with it closed, our home is warmer so the heater goes on less frequently and that will save us loads of money in gas. I always appreciate when a contractor leaves me more knowledgeable and able to maintain our house better. I highly recommend using this service. read more

These guys were awesome. Super courteous, professional, and they know their stuff. Harry is very good at what he does and worked hard and fast to get my chimney up and running properly, without charging an arm and a leg. Armand the owner came by to see how things were going and was also good to deal with. I would definitely recommend them. Thanks you guys! read more

What an excellent experience with Armon and Royal! I called earlier this week to schedule an appointment. Armon showed up on time as promised. How often does that happen? He was extremely professional, thorough and made sure everything was clean and put back to original position. He advised me that I needed a cap and had one that fit and installed it right then and there. We had not had our chimney cleaned in the 14 years we have lived here. Now I have peace of mind when I enjoy my next fire. I highly recommend Royal. Very professional, does what they say, accurate estimates and excellent customer service. I will be calling next year for my annual cleaning! read more

If called several times this week and no answer. Voicemail won't take messages so can not communicate that way. Text the number and turned blue indicating an iMessage. Sent a simple message stating I needed chimney cleaning and if someone could please call me back. No response. Anyone else had this problem??? read more

They helped me a lot at a time where I didn't have a lot of time. My cat decided to make my chimney her new hiding spot during the last few days just before moving. I decided to call these guys on the Sunday of move out date after trying everything else. They were the only business open and they came within an hour after speaking with them and got my cat within 30 minutes after that. They were extremely friendly and efficient in getting my cat out of the chimney and closing up the chimney. I'm sure it was a simple project for them, but it meant everything to me to save my cat!!! read more

These guys are great, they are very honest, I absolutely recommend them! We just needed a cleaning, they were very thorough and also did a whole inspection of the entire chimney inside and out. They gave us recommendations on keeping the chimney in good condition, including work that we could do ourselves. read more

They had good reviews - so I called them for repairs, cleaning, and addressing any issues related to our new old home with three very neglected fire places. You know why their reviews are good? Because this company and the team that helped us are simply excellent. Great communication and ease of scheduling. Uncompromising and responsive customer service. Excellent professional skill. Not surprisingly, years of neglect invited more work than originally thought - including addressing leaky gas valves. Tough to find 100 year old gas valves. So, with great care, personal time and expense Armand and Andre searched, delivered, did unexpected minor reconstruction - like someone in your family would to help you out. Did they jack up the price and estimate for that additional service and care? Not a bit. Guess kind, skilled, professional, caring guys is just who they are. So ... ya, their reviews were honest and I was happy with them. VERY. And I completely commend them to anyone who wants extremely good workmanship, fair costs, thorough communication, and the chance to witness and benefit from an ethical business! read more

This is an honest business that deserves your work. They were in and out of my home providing a wealth of tips and recommendations on my fireplace. I had no idea water was intruding the fireplace but Armond quickly pointed out an issue with my gutters and recommended a few fixes. He said my cap was fine and a cleaning should address the odor I was getting from the chimney. No pressure sales. He recommended we monitor the fireplace after the cleaning and address other issues as they arise since we just moved in to the home. Very reasonable, knowledgeable and considerate family guy. Armond even walked the exterior oh my home to give tips on other issues that caught his eye. Highly recommended for your chimney needs. read more

Armand and his team are true professionals with decades of experience. Fireplaces and chimneys aren't the part of your home you want to chance it with someone who cuts corners or doesn't really know what they're doing; it's a controlled fire in your home, you want to get that right. Armand is the guy to call, he's not only a lovely person to have in your home but he explains everything, he's pricing is reasonable and we were blown away by how great our gas fireplace looked when he and Jack were finished. We've never had a gas log set that you could sit and watch and feel like it was a real fire. That's what you get with these guys - they know what they're doing. read more

This is a chimney sweep company I strongly recommend! They did the job efficiently and nicely! They are professional. At the beginning I thought there would be someone come to clean my chimney and left but they started checking the whole chimney professionally right after they step into the house. My chimney is old and haven't been used for 12 years. They checked all the safety issue and advised me a great solution. They are really safety concerned and they solve problems by using the most efficient and painless way. A super reliable company! read more
