Armond and his coworker showed up on time and evaluated my chimney which had some big cracks in it towards the top. Armond said if something inside is lifting the cracks cannot be filled in until they fix the inside and it would be a couple of thousand dollars I'm so glad they are so honest and said ur all good cause I would of never knew if they was telling the truth or not. He explained my cracks are from water cause I didn't have a chimney cap so he and his worker filled in all the cracks and put a chimney cap on and two hours later was as good as new. Thank you Armond for the honesty read more

My fireplace began smoking badly ... Armand quoted a very reasonable $89-$119 to clean it prior to the visit and, although my chimney was excessively dirty (since a cleaning was embarrassingly 20-some years overdue), that's what it cost to clean it. They also installed a cap on my chimney to my satisfaction. They were on time, courteous, clean, wore COVID masks, did a great job (and I'm picky!) and didn't upsell me on anything. I'd highly recommend the company and will be using them again in the future (certainly before the next 20 years)! read more

When we called Armand for a chimney cleaning, he responded promptly and came out within the week. He and Andre helped us discover a couple of problems with the way smoke was exiting, and they did a superb job of addressing the issues. This team is professional, courteous and knowledgeable; and the pricing is reasonable read more

Armond and his team were super nice, super helpful and did a great job. I had to switch my appointment TWICE because of work issues and he was gracious and easy. Can't recommend Armond and Royal Chimney Sweeps enough! Thank you Armond! - R read more

Royal Chimney Sweeps capped our chimney to keep rain and animals out at a reasonable price. They also removed two satellite dishes from our roof for a small fee. I was happy that they showed up on time, got the job done, and were very professional. They also gave me advice for if we ever plan on using our chimney, which I highly doubt but still appreciated as well. Thanks guys! If we need anything else worked on with our chimney I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. read more

This is the first time that I have the fireplace cleaned since we moved in 16 years ago. After reading all the positive review, I decided to give Royal chimney sweep a try. I called and Armand responded to all my questions. Harry and Andre came and promptly started their work. Harry patiently answered all my questions while coordinating with Andre to clean the fireplace. He recommended repair work on the crown of my chimney and suggested to divert the gutter to stay away from the wall behind the fireplace. Harry was very thorough and professional. He was not pushy when he suggested the extra work. He left my living room clean and I look forward to hearing from them soon for potentially changing my wood burning fireplace to a firestone fireplace. I'd recommend anyone who wants the fireplace clean please G or Royal chimney sweep a try. read more

To be perfectly honest, I know absolutely nothing about fireplaces and chimneys, other than that fires and smoke live there. I contacted Arman for his services, since we plan on closing off our fireplace because we don't plan on using it anymore. Arman and Danny came out and were on time to inspect and work on the fireplace/chimney. They began working immediately, both working on different areas (one on the roof, one on the fireplace). They brought their own vacuum and drop cloth (hooray for cleanliness!), and scrubbed that sucker until it was clean. Throughout the process Arman was very informative as to what they were doing. He even had a diagram to explain to me how the chimney works and what each part does. After further inspection, they noticed that our crown was cracked, so thankfully they were able to seal it before putting the cap on! They also shared how to maintain it on our own. And best for last, their price was VERY competitive. I wouldn't look anywhere else for fireplace/chimney services! Thanks Arman & Danny! read more

Highly recommend Royal Chimney Sweeps for all chimney cleaning and repair services. Armond was not only responsive and prompt, but was very knowledgeable about his craft and pleasant to work with. He took his time explaining each step of the cleaning process and did a thorough inspection of our entire chimney, from the fireplace to the crown. Made some recommendations for future repairs and gave very reasonable costs to fix. Thanks again Armond for the great work and transparency with everything. This is truly how all businesses should operate and interact with their customers. read more

Excellent service. Promptly returned calls. Showed up on time. Inspected and cleaned the chimney--no mess. Explained everything and more. Returned that afternoon with the correct chimney cap. (December is high season). Installed a new damper. Now my fireplace won't be drafty and my chimney won't draw my neighbor's fireplace smoke down it and into my house. Thank you Armand. read more

Five stars and more. Great service, fair pricing and refreshing attitudes from both Armen and Andre. A real rarity nowadays. Thank you both.

After doing a chimney cleaning and repair job back in December, they came back to install a gas fireplace log set. Looks great, very realistic. The price was reasonable compared to the local fireplace stores we visited in Pasadena. And it really warms up the room. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs fireplace services! read more

Great customer service, don't waste your time shopping around. They came out a week ago explained everything, got everything done in less then 2 hours. Best chimney sweep company I have ever used! read more

Was honest and had reasonable prices. Workmanship was clean and professional. Clean my chimney and mad it safe .

Armand at Royal Chimney Sweeps did an outstanding job cleaning the chimney firebox and flue located in our 2-story 1908 Landmark historic Craftsman home (Madison Heights, Pasadena). With great efficiency and excellent attention-to-detail, Armand performed the set-up and cleaning in less than 1-hr. Armand also spent time educating us on chimney care and maintenance and well as some recommendations on safe chimney operation. Armand also provided a technical assessment of our second fireplace which uses gas-only. Thank you Armand for providing such great service. We'll definitely be calling again for any future chimney services. read more

Armond and Andre were great! My chimney hadn't been cleaned in probably 10 years (we just moved in). They checked everything, cleaned it and replaced the gas pan so it would work better for real wood fires. Didn't upsell me on anything, just gave me great advice on how to care for my chimney. Trustworthy, efficient and nice to boot! Support the small business owner - call him! read more

Chimney was very clean after the sweep. They recommended to seal my chimney on the exterior and they did a good job! read more

Respectfully wore masks and cleaned chimney without making a mess. Fast and efficient. Kind workers.

I WILL NOT recommend this company. First, I was quoted one price if I paid cash and another price if I paid by check. I decided to pay by check instead of cash and at that point I was told that they didn't accept checks over a certain amount and if I could go to the ATM and get the cash. This didn't seem normal to me. Second, there was no drop cloth put down to protect my floor. Third he didn't have a broom or any type of cleaning utensils. Very unprofessional and I feel I was charged too much! read more

I just purchased a home, and had received multiple quotes based on inspections, ranging from $4-9k, for work that I wasn't sure I even needed. Armand and Jack came out and explained to me what turned out was unecesary, plain and simple, and saved me thousands. They first did the very tough job of opening up two separate rusted dampers, that had so much debris and rust it was a miracle that they could even manage to salvage them without having to replace it, this took half a day. They put on a beautiful cap over my chimney, also extemely well priced. Armand cleaned, and replaced the old logs with a whole new fireplace set with new metal griddle, gas logs, stones, gas pipe, and special burning materials to update the whole look and feel of the fireplace. They patiently checked the gas lines and also told me that I didn't need to replace the old ones that weren't leaking, and explained in detail how to operate and maintain the fireplace for safety and to keep it going longer. I can't express how pleased I was with the end result. They never made me feel pressured to do anything, the add on's were simple suggested and it made me feel assured I could chose to do them later with them at any time. They operate such a honest business. If you're looking to save money and find someone who will tell you what you really need go with Royal. read more

We needed an inspection + cleaning for the fireplace in our new house. Armand did an estimate using google maps and then told me what he would need to see in person. Once he got here with his partner Andre, they did a thorough assessment. They were able to repair the chimney and replace all the broken/missing parts within a few hours. Highly recommend! read more

I contacted Armand because I needed a chimney cap. He took a look at my fireplace to determine if I needed a sweep. He gave some good advice regarding options for a log set up, as the previous owner set up stones in our gas fireplace. He also went over safety concerns, such as advising we trim a neighbor's tree that hangs on our side of the property and close to the chimney. The price of the cap and labor were fair. I told Armand that I would contact him for the sweep and log set up when we get close to lighting up the fireplace. He did not make me feel pressured to get everything done that day. Will be using his services again soon. read more

This company is sensational. My husband and I have put off having a fire in our fireplace for at least 5 years because we knew it was probably a fire hazard. We called Royal and they sent out Harry who is so professional and nice you wouldn't believe it!!!! Harry spent a lot of time going over the details of the gas insert-70 years old if it's a day-in the hearth, the crown, how to open and close the damper-and how to save $ in the process. And their prices are REASONABLE! When you call them, ask for Harry! I know I will the next time I call. Oh btw, try to clean your fireplace at least every 1 to 3 years-according to Harry read more

Arman and Andre were a pleasure to work with. We couldn't be happier with their service. They were professional, friendly, and did an excellent job sweeping our chimney and making the necessary repairs and replacements to ensure that our chimney is working safely and efficiently. Arman explained all of the necessary repairs to me and provided great tips to ensure proper maintenance of our chimney. I will happily provide return business to Royal Chimney Sweeps and highly recommend their services! read more

We echo what most everyone says about Arman and Jack. Not sure how they can get less than a 5-4 star rating, because we have nothing negative to say about them and their work. Very straight forward and there was never a hard sell to get additional (needed) work done immediately. Their's was a 2-day job. They even took firewood we no longer needed (fireplace was converted to gas-only) ridding us of a large pile we would have never burned in the coming year. read more

We have a chimney that hadn't been used/cleaned in years probably over a decade. Also the damper wasn't functional. First time I used the fireplace, I had a bunch of smoke stay in the house. Royal chimney sweeps responded fast and with fair prices , got everything fixed up in no time. Explained how to use the new damper and gave me tips to prevent any smoke from staying in the house. Great customer service. We liked him so much we had another chimney fixed up. read more

I love a company that shows up on time. I had an appointment for between 8-9am on Christmas Eve day, and the crew showed up at 8:25. They get a lot of points for this. I sustained a lot of wind damage in the recent wind storm here in Pasadena. One of the issues was the wind bent and broke my chimney cap. I asked Armon (sp?) how much it would be to get a new one installed, and he quoted $120, if it was a standard size. I also inquired as to how much a cleaning would be if it needed it. He said $69. My chimney cap ended up being the standard size, and the chimney needed a cleaning, which I figured anyway since I have only owned the home for a year and thought the previous owner hadn't cleaned it in a long time. The guys were quick and efficient. The whole job took about 30 minutes. The bill came out to $189, which is what I was quoted over the phone. I love that they didn't try and up-sell me on anything. I will definitely use Royal Chimney Sweeps again. Thank you guys! read more

Armond and his guys are super sweet and quick! They came in the same week and cleaned out the chimney within the hour (I actually don't use the chimney I thought there were rodents). But none the less super happy and very reasonably priced!!! read more

I read all the great reviews so thought I would try this place to inspect and clean the chimney in my new home and replace the flue, however after calling them on 2 separate occasions a month apart, leaving a clear message with my name and number 2x in the message, I have yet to ever receive any call back. Note that the VM says "we will call you back in one hour". Granted one call was on a Saturday so I waited till Monday for a call back, Monday came and went, it's now Wednesday and no call back! Sorry to say The customer service here sucks and I would not recommend booking an appointment with someone that does not even bother to call customers back! read more

These guy are fantastic! We had a pigeon stuck in our chimney. They were able to arrange to come out first thing in the morning before their normal opening time to rescue the bird. They successfully got the pigeon out injury free. Along with the bird rescue the did a full cleaning and added a wire cage on top of the chimney to prevent any potential other critters from getting in. They also made several repair suggestions with easy instructions that I could do myself or they could do in the future. Best of all they came in under the estimate for everything. Highly recommend these guys. 5 stars read more

Before today, we would just turn on the gas, throw a match into the fireplace, and hide behind the couch. Today RCS came by to replace our gas setup -- very friendly install guy (Armon) who also walked us through a few tips on safety and care of the fireplace.. and how to properly ignite it. =D read more

First time homeowner and since I can't just call the landlord anymore... We were really excited to use our fireplace, but weren't sure when (if ever) the previous owners had cleaned it. Doing the responsible thing, I called Royal Chimney Sweeps. Armon was professional on the phone, gave me an estimate and we made an appointment. On the day of appt, Armon and Andre showed up on time, were professional, efficient, and some of their tools looked like they belonged in Mary Poppins. And the cost came in within (below) the initial estimate. We lit our first fire that night with no concern. I will definitely call again next year for an annual cleaning. Great service. They do what they say...show up on schedule, and stick with the bid quoted. They know their business and offer advise on improving the efficiency of your fireplace. For those who are handy around the house, they also offered suggestions on what should be done like caulking minor cracks in the chimney mortar and weatherproofing the ash dump opening. We can't say enough and recommend their service to everyone! read more

The very best in the business! Kind, clean, efficient and professional. Very reasonably priced! I have used their services twice now and expect to call upon them once each year (or more...). I'd like to thank Arman and Jack for their thorough service at my home this past Wednesday.

If you want your chimney cleaned, the search ends here! Armand and Harry are the most honest, hardworking and sweetest guys around. We scheduled them to have our chimney cleaned. And even though there was a miscommunication with the work, and consequently, the price, Armand honored my side like a true gentleman and more importantly, he was was nice about it. I really appreciated that. We definitely will use them again for anything that has to do with our chimney and indoor bbq and will happily recommend them! Thank you Armand and Harry! read more
