Truly dislike writing bad reviews but for this specific location I have no choice. Every time I come here they either don't have staple items on the menu, have horrible customer service, or more recently, aren't open during their advertised hours. Came here the other night around 8:45pm and the person told me they were closed. I asked how this was possible since they didn't close until 11pm and the person said it was because the manager closed down because of low customer numbers. It's a shame because when they get the food right, it's pretty good. read more

It's a sad shame you cannot get decent service at the Roy Rogers located at: 2690 Crain Hwy, Waldorf, MD 20601. I went there today around 2:00 pm to purchase food for my return trip back in town and it was disgraceful that the service was so bad. Specifically, the drive-thru attendant had an attitude, put me on hold so that she could conversate with her manager for about 10 minutes before returning back to the window to take my order, once I placed my order, which was 2 breasts, 2 wings and an order of fries, I was told that it would be approximately a 15 minute wait on the wings. I told the drive-thru attendant, never mind, I will just have the 2 breasts and the fries. I waited almost 20 minutes in the drive-thru line, thought about driving off, but could not due to another car in front of me at the window. I finally approached the window and was then told that they now have no breasts or no wings. I was livid after waiting that amount of time in the line to just drive away with nothing. Just a little constructive criticism: The manager needs more training on the business practices to be able to manage and lead professionally. Also, the workers need to be re-trained on customer service. read more

I stopped by for a quick lunch. I didn't like anything I ordered including my sweet tea. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and sweet tea. I took a few bites of the sandwich because I was hungry. The fries didn't taste good and the sweet tea was not really sweet. Once I got home I threw all of it away. read more

I am giving one stars because the chicken wasn't good. The service at the window on the other hand.....was the best part of the visit. The window attended was very pleasant and helpful but man that wait at the drive thru was absolutely horrible. Roy y'all have got to do better. read more

SHADY, SHADY, SHADY!!! This was my first and last time coming to this establishment. I wanted to try this restaurant out because I've never had it before. I went through the drive through and ordered, just a chicken sandwich. I pulled up to the window, the cashier was hospitable and I handed him a $50 bill. As he was counting my change, he was just about to open the window and I saw him "recount" it. I. He opened the window, handed me my money, receipt and food and I drove off. I pulled over in the parking lot and counted my money and I was $3 short. I walked inside got the attention of the guy at the drive through window and as he was coming over he literally said "I knew you were gonna come back in"...what?!?!?! The only reason I gave it two stars was because one of the employees thought there was an issue with my meal and was generally concerned, also the manager didn't have any issues giving me what the cashier CLEARLY did not give me. I always, always check my change and this instance is the reason for that! read more

$6.87. Smallest sausage gravy on biscuit I've ever seen. I remember when it was 99¢ for gravy on biscuits at Roy Rogers. Sandwich was OK, had to look for the cheese. Wawa is still the best sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant. No competition here. Very clean and still has the beautiful display of fixin's. read more

They do mess up orders from time to time, but they fix it to perfection and the food is always hot and fresh.

There was nobody in the drive through we waited for our food for it to be cold and disgusting my husband grilled chicken sandwich looked like it was microwave and the sauce looked as if the lid feel off and all the sauce ended up on the sandwich they wrapped just like that and served it to us our fruit punch was water with food coloring terrible service terrible food so disappointing it was my first and last time have Roy rogers read more

While traveling through Maryland we stopped at the Roy Roger's in Waldorf. Boy, are we glad we did. The food was delicious. Hubby got the Double something that had brisket on his burger & he really liked it. My 3-piece fried chicken was better than I remember it as a kid. (we live in Florida now), hubby and Grandson shared my bicuit, and liked that too. Grandson got the chicken sandwich. I gave him a piece of my chicken to boot and he groaned with happiness while eating both. We got the birch beer too. THE SERVICE was the most memorable part. Didn't notice the "fixins' bar" until after, but smiled to see Old Bay proudly on it. BEST PART: The little lady who took our order was GREAT. I think her name started with an N...she had a little accent (maybe Asian) and she KNOWS her stuff. So caring, and she serves with love. This woman loves people, you can tell. While looking at my receipt later, I noticed, she even gave us our senior discount we often forget to ask for. Thank you for making weary travelers stand up and take notice. read more

Whatever you do DO NOT EAT HERE! They triflin as hell. Worst service ever. I ordered a three piece chicken meal and they didn't even have dark meat! Or Macaroni n cheese which was listed on the menu. Plus, Half of the workers there looked high as a kite! I'm highly disappointed. If I could give no stars I sure as hell would! read more

Good food. Fast service. Convenient location. Environment. Love the fries and horseradish sauce.

This afternoon around 4:30 pm we visited the Waldorf, Md location because we wanted to see if the food was as good as we remember and it absolutely is. What was even better was the service we received from the frontline staff and female manager. we received a kind professional greeting and a follow visit from the cashier whom I believed was name Daisy, to check and make sure our in-store dine in experience was going well. As a patron, we have found restaurants have lost important customer service standards and it's wonderful to experience this type of service. To the owners of this restaurant, this entire team deserves recognition and a raise. Feeling appreciated translates to better customer service and a return visit. read more

took 20 minutes in drive thru, only for them to not have given me all the food I paid for.

If any fast food restaurant is screaming "don't eat here", it's this Roy Rogers in Waldorf. The wife and I decided to get some food at this particular one since we were right down the street. I ordered the large roast beef (with cheese) and wifey wanted the spicy chicken sandwich, both combos. At the window, I asked about cheese on my sandwich, to make sure they put some on it. After paying and waiting about 3 minutes, a male employee told us the chicken sandwich was being made, and to park in the front, and they would bring it out. Another 10-11 minutes go by, causing me irritation, so I drive around to the window. An employee sees me, but just walks on by. Now I'm pissed; I knocked hard on the window to get someone's attention. Finally, someone opens the window, and I tell them we've been waiting for our food for almost 15 minutes. He tells me "I was just getting ready to bring it out to you." Whatever! So, I park in the lot, and we proceed to open up the bag to eat. My order was wrong (no cheese), and my wife's chicken sandwich was so salty, one bite was guaranteed to raise her blood pressure. Terrible! To boot, I took my sandwich home to eat it (and add cheese). I took one bite, and spit it out; it smelled and tasted funny. I gave it to my dog, who I knew would enjoy it more than me. To be fair, their fries were very good, and the drinks satisfying, hence, the one star. I had not eaten at a Roy Rogers in over 15+ years; now I remembered why. Never again! Bad customer service, and the sandwiches were atrocious. Stay away from this place! read more

Drive through is always a parking lot. They are not trying to improve. I go to the one in Laplata. Better management and the drive through moves much quicker. read more

I typically go here on Saturdays during lunch since it is on the way home from hitting the flea markets in Charles County, MD. Whenever I go into this place the staff are very friendly, the place looks very clean and the food itself is very good and very fresh. I also love their burgers that I get here where you choose your own toppings and my girlfriend just loves her chicken strips that are fresh and hot. I always make a plan to come to this place. Only one time did I have a problem with this Roy Rogers and that was because the system was down at the time, it wasn't their fault and they were trying to restart it the best they could. I wouldn't fault them for something that was out of their hand but overall this place was great. I'm happy that I can find good food at a good price. read more

What an amazing place. The staff is great and the food is amazing. All positive stuff for this place. For a small place right off the highway it sure gets the job done and really is a great place to go. read more

I am not quite sure how you don't know that your drive thru speaker is out at 4pm in the afternoon. What have you been doing all day? So after waiting in line for about 5 minutes, I come inside and it's worse. One cashier, one person on the grill, and one person making roast beef sandwiches. I give it to the young people, they were trying but they were moving without urgency and the manager on duty Armel never came out to assist. The cashier called for Rochelle three times, apparently she is the trainer on site and she never came out to assist either. read more

Really zero stars!! Waited in drive thru behind 2 cars at the speaker for 25 minutes finally parked and went in. Everyone moving in slow motion l, girl taking orders had to drop fries and put food together. The service here in the drive thur is always super slow at best! Sometimes you will have to wait 5 minutes before someone ask to take your order. The average wait time from the time you get to the speaker box until you get your order is about 18 minutes! I waited as long as 37 minutes on 1 visit. The food is good but sevice is horribly slow. read more

This location has poor management. I visit this location often in the evening and I often order chicken. Most of the time in the evening, i find that I have to wait 16-22 minutes for chicken. I would be a little more understanding if it was close to closing time, but it could be around 7pm and it's the same story. The counter cashiers look at you like they are stuck on stupid and if you ask for a large side it becomes a national emergency. The evening management team seem to have difficulty in managing the employees as some of their appearances are not professi al (ie, shirts not tucked, additional head wear and general unclean uniforms). The support team are playful and more times than enough have missed itema on the order. The evening management and team have difficulty entering rewards and coupons. I feel that it is a lack of management training or pure disrespect for the standards of Roy Rogers restaurant. Come on daytime work with the evening shift to improve their standards because this will not do. read more

This is the slowest fast food restaurant I've ever been to. They don't even have that many around and they are this slow! It took me 15min to order and get my food with only one car in front of me. Two cars on the outside, so you weren't busy. Really! You guys have to do better read more

A perfect example of not giving a s***! Bad service, dirty everywhere, bad food. And I have never felt the need to write a review before until now. I had to tell my kids that they may be special needs that work there because they were clearly stoned out of their minds. So I've been to this location 4 times since it's the only game in town for a good roast beef sandwich. While the food is consistently good the restaurant itself is a train wreck. The kitchen area could use a good cleaning and folks could be of better hygiene. I'm not regularly seeing any gloves being used and long hair is hanging out of the various head gear for most of the food handlers. The dining room ... if the place is not infested with roaches it will be soon. Tables, drink and condiment counters are never whipped down and look as if a war had broken out on them. Condiment dispensers are usually empty and most of their contents are on the outside of them. I'm truly afraid to try ANYTHING on the fixing bar. Vegetables are out of their bins and all over the counter area. Trash is usually overrunning the bins and it seems that the staff has no interest in keeping the place up. I overheard a manager ask another employee to help clean the dinning area ... that employee promptly replied, "THAT IS NOT MY JOB!" It seems that it's nobodies job since it's been like this every time I'm there. I will have to give up on this place until their some management improvements. read more
