It was easy to purchase the passes on the website and then come into the pool area. It was so nice having a family bathroom too and seeing a few of them so that we didn't feel too rushed getting into our suits. My 2 year old is usually afraid of the water and I wasn't sure how he'd like it but he was so excited! Big kiddos to the kiddie area with the slide. It got him out of his shell and he became a new kid. He was actually purposefully dunking himself and getting his face wet. We spent a good amount of our time jumping off the side of letting him practice floating on his back. He even tried his new floaty for the first time and even wanted to try swimming by himself. He even tried the big water slide! They also had a good amount of lifeguards and all of them were spaced in the right places in every possible corner of the pool. I'm not used to that or the lifeguards don't seem to want to be there but every lifeguard was alert and paying attention. And they rotated fairly often which was nice too! We didn't go to the outside pool though. All in all it was an amazing first time and we'll definitely be coming back again this summer!

However, my friends and I noticed a few areas that need attention: * Safety/Walkways: The ground is hit-or-miss. While some parts have good grip, there are very slick, patches scattered throughout the entire facility. I highly recommend everyone bring water shoes for safety. Restrooms: Both the men's and women's bathrooms need much better ventilation and air circulation. Adding an air purifier would go a long way in keeping them fresh. Aesthetics: It's great they are expanding, but the construction area is mostly dirt right now. Some green privacy screening on the fence would help hide the work and preserve the "retreat" vibe. * The Vibe: It can get a little boring just sitting in the pool. AMAZING! More growth in 20 minutes than a week's worth of group swim lessons. Nate worked with my…read more11 year old that had passed through level 5 swimming lessons and refined stokes and form. He analyzes each stroke and identifies specific fixes. He was able to consistently coach my 7 year old and keep him focused. He has kids constantly self monitor their technique so they are getting better independently as well as with him. Nate's coaching style is such that his swimmers love him but also know they must push themselves and do their best. They learn that hard work is hard but rewarding.

I didn't partake in the facilities sports services, however we were passing thru town. Not knowing…read morethe area this was the closest building as I desperately needed to use a restroom. I'm in a transport chair and need my husband's assistance getting around. We were also traveling with two small dogs (one with neurological issues). I simply cannot give enough praise to one of the employees named ASTRA! She was incredibly kind. She allowed us to use the restroom and bring the dogs in out of the heat. Unfortunately our dog with neurological issues had a seizure. She was responsive and sat with our dogs while my husband went back into the restroom to get me. She offered and then helped us out to our car. Her kindness is unmatched and my hope is that more young people learn from her actions! Kudos to the company that hired her.

The reason I love the Ogden Athletic club is that its extremely family friendly. The daycare is unbeatable. We pay $9.50 per month per child for unlimited day care. The staff is engaging and the kids have a lot to do I never find them parked in front of a TV. There is a special baby room, a toddler area, and activities for older children. For kids 8+ and teenagers there are special areas designated to play and work out. Its great to have a gym that embraces children and lets families keep up an active lifestyle together. The facility is huge. There are areas that are a bit tired looking but overall it is well kept, they offer a wide variety of classes, and the equipment is fine. Lots of places for tennis and swimming. I personally like the women only area. For my husband and I and our three children (in day care) we pay $130 per month. For us - its worth it because we attend 4-5 times per week. It is extremely close to our home and the good service and family atmosphere are great. If we didn't have kids I don't know that we'd pay this much for this gym.

I've been going to OAC for about 4 years, none of the equipment is the same brand, size, or similar in quality. It's a dated gym and half the time, machines or equipment are broken. When they do repair they its usually very poor quality. It's a very dated gym and the average cost of a membership is about 50% more than local gyms. It takes a long time for equipment to be repaired and they have more "don't do this" signs than anything I've ever seen. Things like, "dont use your phone" "don't wear sandals" Dont move this, don't move that etc. I really enjoyed the members, everyone is very nice and super friendly. The only real upside is that the kid care is AWESOME. The staff is very friendly, and they have a free area where older kids can just chill and watch movie. Great for the summer. They always have different crafts for the kids to do too. That's why they get 2 stars not 1.
