Unfortunately, their billing practices and member services have completely changed that experience for me. Every month, the app shows that I owe $0, making it look like my bill is paid or nothing is due. Then the next day, money is withdrawn from my account anyway. Because I'm relying on THEIR app for my account information, I'm not expecting the charge and then I can end up with additional fees. When I've tried to get a clear invoice showing what I owe and when, it has been unnecessarily difficult. I now spend what feels like an hour every month on the phone trying to sort out billing issues that shouldn't exist in the first place. The fees are also getting ridiculous. You can be charged for being six minutes late to a class, even though you're already paying an additional monthly fee for access to those services and that's IF you can even get into a class, because they're frequently full. It feels like VASA has become very quick to charge members fees while providing very little grace when their own app and billing system are confusing or inaccurate. If VASA is going to hold members to strict policies and charge fees at every opportunity, they should hold their own billing system and member services to the same standard. I used to really enjoy this gym. Now, instead of simply focusing on my workout, I'm regularly dealing with confusing charges, fees, and phone calls trying to figure out my account. The reason I love the Ogden Athletic club is that its extremely family friendly. The daycare is unbeatable. We pay $9.50 per month per child for unlimited day care. The staff is engaging and the kids have a lot to do I never find them parked in front of a TV. There is a special baby room, a toddler area, and activities for older children. For kids 8+ and teenagers there are special areas designated to play and work out. Its great to have a gym that embraces children and lets families keep up an active lifestyle together. The facility is huge. There are areas that are a bit tired looking but overall it is well kept, they offer a wide variety of classes, and the equipment is fine. Lots of places for tennis and swimming. I personally like the women only area. For my husband and I and our three children (in day care) we pay $130 per month. For us - its worth it because we attend 4-5 times per week. It is extremely close to our home and the good service and family atmosphere are great. If we didn't have kids I don't know that we'd pay this much for this gym.

Everything about this gym's equipment is just genuinely old and crummy. I mentioned to management that their pool is unbearably cold. The kids that were getting in the pool (on several occasions) were getting blue lips and it just seemed to get colder as the months went on and my youngest refused to get in anymore. Old people would get in the pool and just say, "Sure is miserable, isn't it?" Management told me that the pool temp was optimal and that basically I just need to deal with it. A week later they are replacing a water pump in the pool. It's just a really disrespectful management atmosphere. My husband's father died and we were going to be out of state for two weeks and since this gym is SO expensive, I asked if we could get some sort of refund or credit while we were gone. They told me "no sorry" and that was it. I told them that I have never had a gym treat death in a family so lightly and how cruel that is. It was only after having to remind them to treat people right that they decided maybe they could put our account on hold for two weeks. Like, how on earth have they gotten that low that they weren't willing to offer that without hesitation initially? Very unfortunate and just so cocky. This gym is SOOOOOO much more expensive than any gym in the area and just doesn't make sense how they can be so cocky and rude when their gym really is the oldest and crummiest gym I've ever been to. Their classes are pretty good but the yoga room is so cramped that it makes class squishy a lot and the speakers in the room are so old that they break a lot. It's really something. I think young moms get taken advantage of the most because a one-year-old that can be in the kids' club for an hour costs just as much as a 17-year-old child that could go to the gym all day, every day. I'm planning on going to the Marshall White Center that's opening back up soon and I think a lot of young moms will come with me because this gym is WAY too expensive for what you actually get out of the facility.

Ive stayed with the EOS membership because they have a good yoga class. I joined VASA in Ogden (in addition to EOS) so that I could swim a couple of times a week-VASA's amenities are rarely out of service, I saw the steam room down for one day, once. EOS was doing better...For about 6 months none of the stuff in the pool area was broken. So, I quit VASA. A couple of months later, it's just as bad or worse than it was before! I halfway suspect that they just don't want to pay the (heating) utilities so they just turn stuff off!
