He had been going to Vasa or golds and staying in somewhat respectable shape, but he knew high intensity fitness was what the research has been showing to be the most successful. So Moe joined RCF. He was apprehensive at first about not being able to do a lot of the lifts and not being able to keep up with the really fit guys. But they all welcomed him with open arms and were never shy about sharing workout tips and offering help. Every coach has been fantastic to work with. Even Van who yells at me during the workout, I know he's just trying to help. Moe has been doing CrossFit now for about 5 months and his body has changed for the better as has his mind. My main focus is gym equipment and this gym has all the necessary equipment to target every aspect of your muscle groups. The staff is awesome and friendly and the crowd and locals are also awesome and friendly. There is also plenty of parking which is more than I can say for my previous gym. There is a lot of awesome perks to this gym however my only interest is the weights. They also have a child care which is perfect for my kiddos however we have not got to experience the child care yet due to the current covid conditions and it being closed at the moment.

I joined VASA in Ogden (in addition to EOS) so that I could swim a couple of times a week-VASA's amenities are rarely out of service, I saw the steam room down for one day, once. EOS was doing better...For about 6 months none of the stuff in the pool area was broken. So, I quit VASA. A couple of months later, it's just as bad or worse than it was before! I halfway suspect that they just don't want to pay the (heating) utilities so they just turn stuff off!

From the beginning, his demeanor came across as dismissive and condescending. I haven't been a member since high school .....I am now a college graduate with a masters that should tell you how old I am now trying out this gym over a decade later. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, I was told I was "cheating the system" for using a one-day trial at another VASA location a month earlier for a gym I was deciding between LAYTON VASA OR OGDEN VASA !!!!. I found this accusation extremely unprofessional--especially since I was upfront about my intentions, showed the valid trial pass, and was simply trying to see if the gym would be a good fit. The website and trial confirmation text included no mention of restrictions for former members or using a free trial pass to try out a different location when you're not a member of VASA . To make matters worse, the interaction became unnecessarily confrontational, and no alternative option (such as purchasing a day pass) was offered. This entire situation could have been handled respectfully and professionally, but it was not. If it's like this for using a free trial pass for a day, I can only imagine what it's like being a fully committed member and trying to cancel your pass! Good luck !
