It's been this way for at least a month and there is no evidence of anyone doing anything to repair any of it. I wish I could say this is unusual for this location, but it's not. Ive stayed with the EOS membership because they have a good yoga class. I joined VASA in Ogden (in addition to EOS) so that I could swim a couple of times a week-VASA's amenities are rarely out of service, I saw the steam room down for one day, once. EOS was doing better...For about 6 months none of the stuff in the pool area was broken. So, I quit VASA. A couple of months later, it's just as bad or worse than it was before! I halfway suspect that they just don't want to pay the (heating) utilities so they just turn stuff off!

The only reason I put a 4 is because the steam room was really dirty when I was there. The smell of piss, mildew and ass. Just need a spray down every other day in there. You could see the grime and little bit of dirt piles at the entrance mixed with the steam wetness.

He had been going to Vasa or golds and staying in somewhat respectable shape, but he knew high intensity fitness was what the research has been showing to be the most successful. So Moe joined RCF. He was apprehensive at first about not being able to do a lot of the lifts and not being able to keep up with the really fit guys. But they all welcomed him with open arms and were never shy about sharing workout tips and offering help. Every coach has been fantastic to work with. Even Van who yells at me during the workout, I know he's just trying to help. Moe has been doing CrossFit now for about 5 months and his body has changed for the better as has his mind. Everything about this gym's equipment is just genuinely old and crummy. I mentioned to management that their pool is unbearably cold. The kids that were getting in the pool (on several occasions) were getting blue lips and it just seemed to get colder as the months went on and my youngest refused to get in anymore. Old people would get in the pool and just say, "Sure is miserable, isn't it?" Management told me that the pool temp was optimal and that basically I just need to deal with it. A week later they are replacing a water pump in the pool. It's just a really disrespectful management atmosphere. My husband's father died and we were going to be out of state for two weeks and since this gym is SO expensive, I asked if we could get some sort of refund or credit while we were gone. They told me "no sorry" and that was it. I told them that I have never had a gym treat death in a family so lightly and how cruel that is. It was only after having to remind them to treat people right that they decided maybe they could put our account on hold for two weeks. Like, how on earth have they gotten that low that they weren't willing to offer that without hesitation initially? Very unfortunate and just so cocky. This gym is SOOOOOO much more expensive than any gym in the area and just doesn't make sense how they can be so cocky and rude when their gym really is the oldest and crummiest gym I've ever been to. Their classes are pretty good but the yoga room is so cramped that it makes class squishy a lot and the speakers in the room are so old that they break a lot. It's really something. I think young moms get taken advantage of the most because a one-year-old that can be in the kids' club for an hour costs just as much as a 17-year-old child that could go to the gym all day, every day. I'm planning on going to the Marshall White Center that's opening back up soon and I think a lot of young moms will come with me because this gym is WAY too expensive for what you actually get out of the facility.

I've been going to OAC for about 4 years, none of the equipment is the same brand, size, or similar in quality. It's a dated gym and half the time, machines or equipment are broken. When they do repair they its usually very poor quality. It's a very dated gym and the average cost of a membership is about 50% more than local gyms. It takes a long time for equipment to be repaired and they have more "don't do this" signs than anything I've ever seen. Things like, "dont use your phone" "don't wear sandals" Dont move this, don't move that etc. I really enjoyed the members, everyone is very nice and super friendly. The only real upside is that the kid care is AWESOME. The staff is very friendly, and they have a free area where older kids can just chill and watch movie. Great for the summer. They always have different crafts for the kids to do too. That's why they get 2 stars not 1.

After the workout, the trainers add a challenge and/or stretching. What makes this my favorite gym is the trainers and members. The trainers know me by name. They correct my form and say positive affirmations when my form is good. If the trainer thinks I can go extra, then they call me out. The trainers keep the class accountable and pumped. The community of members are great. As I've consistently shown up, I've gained gym buddies and new friends.

I have seen the good, the bad, the ugly, the frankly stupid, and the wantonly dangerous. So, you can imagine my wary entry into this gym way out in Utah. My surprise was notable. The equipment and space are as good as it gets. They have everything and it is organized, well-maintained, and "enough" for everyone. The work out and warm up made sense and the stayed on time (a critical element when you are dropping in). However, the ultimate reason to visit or join is the staff. They had four (!!) staff at both the 5:30 and 6:30 classes and all were friendly, extremely welcoming, interested, and knowledgeable. Even the owner, Eric, interrupted his work out that he was doing off to the side to coach me. I am usually a bit annoyed with "help" on stuff I am experienced at doing-- yet I have to be honest... he taught me how to time my breathing with wall balls and how to change the angle on my kipping pull-ups to relieve elbow stress. I guess I was wrong about not needing coaching. It actually helped. He watched the subtleties. Really a nice value-added plus to my experience. So, to judge them-- and I can be harsh on butt-head coaches and skanky gyms-- I'd say this is one of the top three boxes I've visited in the US and abroad. They have all the tools and use them humbly, safely, and with a real sense of welcoming and caring. They seemed thrilled to have everyone there. Go visit. You'll be very pleased.
