My daughter had no idea…read morehow to swim, but after taking 2 weeks of lessons last year and 2 weeks of lessons this year, she's doing amazing! Usually each session consists of 4 students and 4 instructors. I love how each student gets their own instructor! The pool is plenty big for the 4 separate swim lessons to take place. They have shaded areas for the parents to sit and watch their students. They also have a bathroom incase the student needs to go during the lesson. Lessons are 20 minutes a day for 5 days. It's best to book 2 weeks of lessons, but spread them out. You also need to be quick about registering because lessons sell out fast! I suggest following them on Facebook and signing up for emails through their website. If you don't get lessons, sometimes people sell theirs on the Hunsaker Swimming Facebook page. I'll definitely be signing my daughter up again next year!

He analyzes each stroke and identifies specific fixes. He was able to consistently coach my 7 year old and keep him focused. He has kids constantly self monitor their technique so they are getting better independently as well as with him. Nate's coaching style is such that his swimmers love him but also know they must push themselves and do their best. They learn that hard work is hard but rewarding.

We had such an amazing experience today at the aquatic center pool. I'm grateful the day passes are…read moreaffordable and we hope to eventually get memberships but it was a great day regardless! It was easy to purchase the passes on the website and then come into the pool area. It was so nice having a family bathroom too and seeing a few of them so that we didn't feel too rushed getting into our suits. My 2 year old is usually afraid of the water and I wasn't sure how he'd like it but he was so excited! Big kiddos to the kiddie area with the slide. It got him out of his shell and he became a new kid. He was actually purposefully dunking himself and getting his face wet. We spent a good amount of our time jumping off the side of letting him practice floating on his back. He even tried his new floaty for the first time and even wanted to try swimming by himself. He even tried the big water slide! They also had a good amount of lifeguards and all of them were spaced in the right places in every possible corner of the pool. I'm not used to that or the lifeguards don't seem to want to be there but every lifeguard was alert and paying attention. And they rotated fairly often which was nice too! We didn't go to the outside pool though. All in all it was an amazing first time and we'll definitely be coming back again this summer!

They are charging $39 for a 15 min lesson. Thats almost $160 per hr! Wow! They even copied my military ID (that's supposed to be 20%) and I am still being charged the full $39 per 15 min swimming lesson. Called their office directly and asked if I can talk to the manager directly and they said they are on a retreat. I guess the managers are having a nice ol' retreat using our money to enjoy themselves! This is still on-going and it happened back in August. As of posting this, still no refunds, phone call, or even text back from any managers. If you need an easy stealing high money from customers and individuals, I guess apply for swimkids layton instructor! You are getting paid $160 per hr or maybe their managers whose enjoying their retreat that's stealing most of it!

The reason I love the Ogden Athletic club is that its extremely family friendly. The daycare is unbeatable. We pay $9.50 per month per child for unlimited day care. The staff is engaging and the kids have a lot to do I never find them parked in front of a TV. There is a special baby room, a toddler area, and activities for older children. For kids 8+ and teenagers there are special areas designated to play and work out. Its great to have a gym that embraces children and lets families keep up an active lifestyle together. The facility is huge. There are areas that are a bit tired looking but overall it is well kept, they offer a wide variety of classes, and the equipment is fine. Lots of places for tennis and swimming. I personally like the women only area. For my husband and I and our three children (in day care) we pay $130 per month. For us - its worth it because we attend 4-5 times per week. It is extremely close to our home and the good service and family atmosphere are great. If we didn't have kids I don't know that we'd pay this much for this gym.

I've been going to OAC for about 4 years, none of the equipment is the same brand, size, or similar in quality. It's a dated gym and half the time, machines or equipment are broken. When they do repair they its usually very poor quality. It's a very dated gym and the average cost of a membership is about 50% more than local gyms. It takes a long time for equipment to be repaired and they have more "don't do this" signs than anything I've ever seen. Things like, "dont use your phone" "don't wear sandals" Dont move this, don't move that etc. I really enjoyed the members, everyone is very nice and super friendly. The only real upside is that the kid care is AWESOME. The staff is very friendly, and they have a free area where older kids can just chill and watch movie. Great for the summer. They always have different crafts for the kids to do too. That's why they get 2 stars not 1.

We started our youngest, who has Down Syndrome, last year and we are excited to see how far he has come!! She not only teaches well, she includes safety, which I believe saved my daughters life this past week! She saw a child drowning while on vacation and instead of jumping in to help, my daughter stood on the side pointing and yelling help. Jessica, knowing we were about to vacation, spent a lesson discussing what to do to stay safe in exactly these situations. When asked at the beginning of that lesson, my child's response was to jump in and save whomever was drowning. Had Jessica not gone over this, my daughter would have been in the water and not on the side!!

I didn't partake in the facilities sports services, however we were passing thru town. Not knowing…read morethe area this was the closest building as I desperately needed to use a restroom. I'm in a transport chair and need my husband's assistance getting around. We were also traveling with two small dogs (one with neurological issues). I simply cannot give enough praise to one of the employees named ASTRA! She was incredibly kind. She allowed us to use the restroom and bring the dogs in out of the heat. Unfortunately our dog with neurological issues had a seizure. She was responsive and sat with our dogs while my husband went back into the restroom to get me. She offered and then helped us out to our car. Her kindness is unmatched and my hope is that more young people learn from her actions! Kudos to the company that hired her.
