After ~6 months, my gecko stared to become sick, and only a week after we noticed something was wrong, he died. When we did more research, we learned that the type of sand was the reason it died because it got stuck in the lizards digestive track. My family and I recently purchased two puppies almost three weeks ago. They both have ear mites and…read moreyeast infections , one has roundworm and the other Giardia. The puppies live two and a half hours away from each other. Each dog has diarrhea and tinges of blood in their stool. We were told that the puppies came from a breeder in Iowa (Sara Hulshof). The veterinarian that signed off is Cari Van Zewden. I'm starting to question both the breeder and store's practices. By the sounds of it, Giardia and roundworm (both are parasites) are challenging to treat and it's highly contagious. I feel awful for our puppies and don't want anyone else to receive sick dogs. We're struggling with the vagueness of the process and health of the animals. I hope that we didn't support a puppy mill.
