We were fortunate to have been serviced by a a favorable individual that was employed by Rowley's Towing, an insightful, intelligent, and respectful young man. Our daughter was in an unfortunate circumstance, in that her Prius had become an offroad missile, and found itself lodged in an unfavorable gravity powered "also locked between large wooden indigenous growth", strangle hold. In a way in which it was difficult to work out "without additional damages" how to retrieve in standard-preferfed, redneck fashion. This young lad had made with a few suggestions from the surrounding fanfare, great simple adjustments with a single roll-back truck made short, and easy work of recovering, and hauling our Jetson-mobile out to safety!! Dispatched by AAA because my van (which I didn't know had auto locking doors) locked with the key inside. I desperately tried to get it unlocked; looked for another key, anything I could think of short of breaking a window, while waiting. My dog was inside the van, as we were getting ready to leave for the day. I had loaded him up and shut the door so I could get his water and lock up the house. Fortunately, we are parked in a relatively shaded spot and it is not too hot on the coast today. The driver (Darby, I think he said) called me back within a few minutes of being dispatched to let me know he was on his way. Less than 10 minutes later, he had pulled up and was working to get the pup out. Took him just a few short minutes to get the door unlocked. My pup was unfazed by the whole thing and I am a whole lot less panicked! Thank you so much Darby for saving the day! read more

I had the misfortune of getting TWO flat tires a few weeks ago. Luckily, my insurance coverage includes roadside assistance and within 15 minutes, Mike from Rowley's Towing arrived. Without a platform truck, he had to put the spare on the back flat. Then, my all-wheel drive required an additional set of wheels but eventually, we were on the road. I guess in my mind, the real test of the quality of a company of this type is if it isn't covered by insurance and what they charge and how they conduct business. My wife was in a serious motorcycle accident. we had no choice about what service was called, tow was called by the responders. I was busy rushing to Corvallis as she was life-flighted there. Rowleys AA towing somehow figured that picking up a small motorcycle and transporting it 15 miles was worth $850. I stated my case saying we were hard-working local people and explaining that my wife was in an accident and I had just found out from the police officer who had her motorcycle the day before and I got there as fast as I could to pick it up. They knocked $50 off of the bill. So the full charge was 800. I know what I think of it, I'm not going to try to persuade you one way or the other, you decide if this is a company that you want to do business with. read more

I had a recent fender bender and called AAA to get roadside assistance and they sent a truck from AA Rowley's towing. We ended up towing my car an hour back home at night. Steve from Rowley's was very kind and I felt like I was in good hands with him. we broke down on the side of the highway with a 30 foot motorhome and heard that rowley's was great but instead was a complete waste of our time. this company has been nothing but no help. they said all of their drivers were out of town and didn't know if they could help us the next day. we would have to call them back every single day. instead we went with a different company and will never call rowleys again! read more

This company tows vehicles and lies about whether or not they have it until the cost is exorbitant!!! Rowley towing also breaks state towing laws as they hold personal belongings and try to sell them back to the customer for a fee!!!! They are criminal! My story: After our dishonest son in law dumped our vehicle after agreeing to store it until we could get from our home in Alaska back to Oregon, Rowley towed it and in addition to losing the vehicle that we had just purchased because ours broke down on our wedding trip, we Lost over $10,000 worth of wedding memorabilia and camping gear, (including my husbands tux and my wedding dress) plus priceless and irreplaceable pictures of my deceased parents and wedding gifts!!! The owner of this company has no soul!! After I repeatedly tried to contact and they told me that they didn't have my vehicle, I finally got ahold of their secretary and explained our hardship, hoping that they might cut us a break! Instead, she told me to hold on and then came back and told me that the owner, who would not get on the phone with me, volunteered to charge me 'only' $500 to recover some of my things. Since we live in Alaska and we're broke from our trip, it was impossible to comply with his wishes and now the memories of my wedding/honeymoon road trip end with our loss and his gain!. It's been months and these people have never even returned my license plate or answered a single email or phone call. I'm sure that they have sold all of our belongings and my van by now, but I want to make sure that people know what kind of a shady, heartless, and horrible company they really are! read more

I recently had to do some rearrangement of some of my storage units. One of which is a 16' Cube Van that after living life for last ten years as a storage unit refused to start. Was under the gun for time so decided to get it towed to it's new home. I called around the County to find a Tow. Suffice to say that from a high estimation of $200+ an Hr. and charged from the time of leaving their shop, to return to the shop from an outfit in the North end of the County. I found Rowley's Towing in the South end of the County to be The Most Reasonable in their estimate of cost. The Gentleman arrived most speedily especially considering it was Labor Day. He Conducted Himself in a very Professional Manner and accomplished the task which required a few tricky maneuvers with out any wasted moves ( this guy had towed a rig or two). After the the dust had cleared, I still had enough left out of a couple of Benjamin's to go out and eat dinner. read more

We were totally shocked and dismayed at the charges from this tow service. We were driving a rented RV and had started up a steep hill when we got hung up. So, found Rowley's on the web and saw that they were only a little over 1/2 mile away. We called and they got there within 10 minutes. A quick tug and we were free...another 10 minutes....tops. Then, of course have to figure 10 minutes to return to shop. When the tow driver called, he was instructed to charge us for an hour and a half!!!!!!! Don't know what kind of scenic route he was supposed to take back to the shop, but this was WAY OUT OF LINE. The poor driver was visibly embarrassed and even repeated to his boss that it only took him 10 minutes. But boss was adamant that he charge the full hour and a half @ $150 per hour. So, $225 later for a 10 minute tug, I'm thinking that being out of state tourists, we must have had $$$$$ stamped on our foreheads. Watch your back with this company. I figure we paid about $150 too much! Should only have been charged for 30 minutes; and that is being generous with the amount of time from shop, and a quick tug off the hill and then back to the shop in plenty of time for a cup of coffee before the half hour was up.
