We got some of the best cherries here, unfortunately not quite time for local cherries as they were imported from ID but so pretty and the stems were still green. Got a medium green salsa that was smoky and delicious. I had the centennial ice cream that had graham cracker swirl, chocolate chip and cherry bits in it. Rowley's is a Utah County hidden gem! Tucked in little but growing Santaquin, Rowley's has amazing churned, unique flavored ice cream that we get on a regular. They have baked items like cookies, fudge, donuts, caramel apples, and more. They have a cute area with esthetic decorations, homemade honey, soaps, lotions. They have a freezer of different grass fed meats and cuts. They have a huge fridge of produce including fruits, artisan cheeses, sourdough breads, and drinks. Workers are always super sweet and helpful. The Rowleys are wonderful people! Parking is easy to find. If it happens to be busy, there's tons of space to park on the gravel surrounding the barn. They have trees that bloom in the spring and are amazing for pictures. They have a fall festival in their back 40 that is so fun to take kids and the family to. I have lived in Utah for a long time and have never stopped at the red barn. I was hiking down in this area so I decided to stop by to grab an ice cream. It is a really cute little store. They have all sorts of produce, and Utah made items in the store. Since I had my dog with me, I didn't spend much time in the store as I would have liked. I got a soft serve vanilla ice cream and it was probably the best soft serve ice cream I've had. It was less than $2. This place is quite a little gem. The cherries are available and I did see people picking from the cherry trees. Unfortunately, there are only a 2 cashiers, so pack your patience. The line was SUPER long on the Saturday we went! Warning: Abigail breads are scrumptious but don't keep the jalapeño cheddar loaf next to the cinnamon roll sourdough; their smells crossed and ruined the cinnamon experience. Activities- 3 stars. We had toddlers and college kids in tow, and the concensus was that it's was NOT worth $16 entrance fee. Rowley's is one of the more expensive farms in the area, but it's a lot of fun. There are some misleading parts. For instance, the "petting zoo" is actually just farm animals in tiny cages that you don't pet; you just walk down a narrow pathway to look at them cramped in their cages. But the other activities like the giant slides, corn pit, and apple shooting are fun. There are lots of photo ops in that region, but not anything else to do besides pick a pumpkin and then try their tasty treats at the barn. The desserts (especially the slush apple cider with ice cream) are INCREDIBLE! They're homemade and the price reflects that, but they're unique and fresh and oh so delicious. read more

Great family experience especially over major holidays; primarily Halloween. Prices are higher than similar items at similar businesses, but as the economy stabilizes hopefully they'll lower their prices of food items back to where they used to be. Staff is primarily teenagers and most are great! However, a few teens don't have the experience to be prompt, speedy, or have best friendly customer service. Numerous evenings the line to pay (2 registers only) can take 15-20 minutes standing in line on busy holiday weekends. Overall, I highly recommend the Red Barn and I'm sure with time, they'll be able to properly train all employees and add extra employees to help customers checkout and pay in a much more timely manner. Okay, so CUTE. I went to Rowley's during the summer (peach season) and during the fall (pumpkin patch and festivities) and both experiences were so fun!! The barn itself is dreamy - traditional red and cozy looking - and everything inside is beautiful. They have a lot of locally produced sweets and jams and salsas, as well as produce and cheeses in a chilled room to the side. They have a plethora of ice cream flavors to choose from and every flavor we tried was delicious. Note: we may have caught the girl behind the ice cream counter on her first day because she was very nervous and messed up our orders a couple times. We felt a little bit bad, but she did got them right in the end! During the fall, they had apple cider slushies that were phenomenal!! The harvest festival was really fun but a couple things seemed a little bit haphazardly done. The petting zoo for example was sad. All the animals were caked in mud and looked a little miserable. We love to bring the kids or escape and grab ice cream at the Red Barn. I ha e to call ahead in the fall to have them hold a dozen donuts because we drive from Springville. The ice cream is delicious and they do a punch card to cash in for a free ice cream. The donuts are moist cake with apple cider. There is nothing like these at maceys or daylight donuts. Worth the drive!! We always go into the walk in fridge/freezer and grab a sample drink of their apple juice and apple concentrate. Very friendly atmosphere. Come for the apple cider donuts and apple slushes with ice cream!! Rowley's red barn tastes like fall and their donuts especially are to die for. We went today for the donuts, and ended up staying to try out the activities in the back 40. The fall activities are all the way back through the orchards on their private property so you have to take their wagons there and back. Parking is packed and the wait is about 10 minutes each way and the ride is about 10 minutes including the time you wait for everyone to get off and load in. The slides were a lot of fun and it's a good atmosphere, but the corn maze was pretty sparse and not very tall. I felt bad that there had been a lot of people who had plowed down the corn in many places, but even if that hadn't happened, it still would have been a bit disappointing. Before we went through the corn maze I really wanted to grab some water, and I ended up waiting 30 minutes in a relatively short line for some water bottles at $1 a bottle. That was pretty frustrating. Long story short, you have to come for the donuts and apple cider concoctions! You won't be disappointed! But skip the fall activities and enjoy a fall fair somewhere else. read more

We were staying in Nephi and wanted ice cream, it was a 20 mile drive to Rowley's and well worth it. The staff is very friendly offering free samples of their ice cream, which they have a great selection (including licorice)... I opted for the medium sized key lime pie and the wife had a scoop of chocolate mint and a scoop of strawberry cheesecake ice cream. The scoops were very generous and the cones were fresh. It was less than 9$ for both cones, which we thought was very reasonable. We plan on going back with our grandson soon. read more

Hours are a little deceptive. Could not find this info online: the family fun/fun for children is not available on weekdays until 3:30. We found out once we got there, way too early. Other than that, what a fun place to be during Autumn. Inside the barn is like a little farmer's market. Cold storage has season fruits, specialty sodas, cheeses, freshly ground PB, etc. The pumpkins are picked and in crates, not in a field. We'd prefer the field so we don't have to dig in bins, but there are still so many pumpkins and gourds to choose from. Service was friendly and quick. Lighting and sound were appropriate for the setting and there are little novelties everywhere. Getting up into the barn isn't super stroller-friendly, but I'm sure there was another way we didn't see. Not everything is clear: where things are and what is available when, but the staff is knowledgeable and easy to approach. Wow. This was the first time we have stopped at a Harvest Host location. I am so glad we became members. Rowley's was absolutely wonderful. Dry camping in a field overlooking cherry trees and mountains along with eating the best ice cream I have ever had. What could be better.? We purchased a variety of fresh produce and have stocked the refrigerator in our Motorcoach for the next weeks travels. We are headed to Yellowstone and hope to return to Rowley's on our return trip.
