We called AAA, Zulu was seemingly kind and caring at first. After a chaotic night, we learned the truth. All we needed was the lug nuts taken off so we could place a spare on it. Zulu stated that it was too tight/special piece was needed. I'm aware of specific lug nuts that require key heads; This car did not require any special pieces to remove the basic lug nuts. I normally would do the job myself, but I didn't have any tools on me so I had to listen to him. He recommended a "good" 24/7 mechanic called A1 Auto (East Hollywood). This was a huge mistake to go here. He towed the car to this location and asked to remove this ONE "tight" lug nut. The shop first quoted us for a single tire for $600. We said No, and then they quoted us at $120 cash to remove the single lug nut. It was one in the morning and nonnegotiable, so we said Fine. They then remove the lug nut with ease using a basic tire Iron; no special tool needed. My girlfriend then spotted the mechanic splitting the cash with Zulu. We realized then that we had been scammed and they were working together. Not only this, but as we were stranded at the mechanic, Zulu later brought in yet another late night desperate customer to the A1 mechanic. If I could choose 0 stars I absolutely would ! The worse service I have ever experienced. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism! My car was towed and I was told by the driver my car would be in Good hands, and it made more sense to tow the vehicle to their lot instead of to my home. We ended up agreeing that it would be easier to leave it there so I can grab my items. I was not once told about ANY fees because I towed with AAA. I came today to grab an item from the car and I was told there would be no issue doing so. I called before to make sure I had what I needed and I also asked if it would be possible for the employee to grab the said item from the vehicle the employee informed me that it was against the law for them to enter the vehicle I said ok and made my way. Upon arrival I was met with the worse attitude from the owner himself, who when I asked to retrieve the items, he questioned what I would be doing with the vehicle instead of allowing me to do what I had inquired to do, he also even suggested that he retrieve the items after I was told by the employee that it was illegal to do so. He told me it's his company so he makes the rules. He was not empathetic he threatened me with either him being an "asshole or a nice guy" when in fact he was being horrible to begin with. He told me information that contradicted everything he was saying EX: "if you sign your pink slip over you don't have to pay the tow fee but you still have to pay for the night fees" then proceeded to say that AAA doesn't cover the tow which they did and had they not they would have contacted . He then proceeded to contradict himself when I called my father to talk to this unreasonable man, and said to him that if I sign the pink slip over I won't have to give him a thing. I only came to retrieve one item from my car and instead I left signing over my pink slip and now have lost all access to whatever is in my vehicle to avoid any charges. Absolutely 1000/10 do not recommend this place my vehicle was also stored so poorly I had to climb through the back to even access the one item I came for. Horrible service horrible attitude do not come here ever. If you're ever in Burbank and you need a tow. Make sure you avoid ROWLETT at all costs. Used AAA to get a tow and the call was cancelled after 3 hours of waiting. AAA even confirmed that they cancelled on me and never let me know until I called AAA for an update. Seems like this company picks and chooses who they want to tow based on distance. I changed my destination address to a location that 4 miles from the breakdown instead of my home which is 30miles away and long behold. They were able to help me. I will never use them again and will make sure to let AAA know. I almost rather pay for a tow than use their service again. read more

They were at my apartment in less than an hour and were able to get into my insanely inconvenient garage and were able to get my Tesla started up when Tesla said it needed to be towed (lairs) the guys followed me to the closest charger and sat with me till the car started to charge. They tell you that its covered by insurance to store my car at that location and in is not! I called AAA to get a towing service and was assigned to a towing service that would take an hour. Waited for the eta and when it passed the time. I called AAA back to ask what's going on and they told me that the company is asking for another hour. Frustrated with what happened, I told them maybe it's better to get another company. AAA told me to wait as they will reroute my service. Ended up with Rowlett Towing and waited for three hours as they keep telling AAA to get more time. My tow truck driver, Raymond is way to emotional for this job. During one if his tantrums, he suggested that because he had a harley tattoo he knew all things motorcycle. During one of his emotional breakdowns, he threatened to unload my motorcycle mid tow because he couldn't handle me telling him how I preferred that he tie down my bike. He was like a toddler on the playground threatenening to quit and take his kickball with him. I think he started crying... The tow company doesn't need to worry about losing Raymond as an employee. If I could I would give them a zero. These sleaze bags took advantage of me while I had an accident and my car was totaled. The person who took the car took advantage of the fact that I was in shock and instead of handing me the AAA contract handed me their own contract for their own personal business. I am not being charged not just for the tow but for labor of the tow(didn't even know this existed) and for other things that he couldn't account for and AAA either. Upon calling him he refused to give me the address of the business and refused to give me any information regarding my property. Now he wants me to sell him my car for $100 and he's giving me the runaround saying that all that he needs to charge me for the tow and all the expenses is the signature that was unscrupulously collected without explanation nor full conscience consent. This is bad faith in a nutshell. I have filed a formal complaint with AAA. Since he didn't give me the address I found it out for myself and went to go and see what was happening with my car. When I walked in you could sense the tension because he knew that he was in the wrong and knew that I had called him earlier. When I started telling him what AAA had told me I immediately got upset because he said that that was a lie. I said F this went outside and called my attorney. Now theNeanderthal at this point took the moral high ground and kicked me out of the business and cursed my mom out. But that didn't stop him from getting what he wanted. This business is nothing but a bunch of crooks and a bunch a sleaze bags under the guise of AAA. My advice is take pictures of the documentation and to call AAA again before you deal with these a**holes. I will fight tooth and nail so that everybody understands that this is in the service that you don't need when you go through a traumatic experience. But if being taken advantage of and being belittled and extorted is your thing then go right ahead. We need laws to keep an eye out for predators like these. Edit: Lawyer called one set of fees... Zulu was great! We got a flat tire on the freeway a mile or two from home and had to call AAA for a tow since we didn't have a spare on us. Have a lot of problems with how AAA handled things (we had to wait in the car for three hours, communication was bad, we were on hold on and off forever, etc) but once Zulu picked us up it was smooth sailing! I have NEVER written a review, but let me tell you how pleased I am with the services that I received this morning with Rowlett Towing. I called in to AAA this morning at 6:40AM to report that I needed assistance with towing my vehicle as there was NO spare tire for my vehicle and mind you, I just realized that TODAY (SMH) when I tried to see if I could change it myself! Well, the ETA I was given was an hour & 10mins (7:50AM). Already thinking negatively, I thought oh MY, this is gonna be at least 2 hours before they get here. Please try to give your business to another towing company. This company refused to tow a car after they were hired by AAA to do so. The car belong to my 78 year old aunt who is bedridden. Her caregiver was given permission by AAA to pick the car up and had a key on her. Yet the fellow who came to get her after she waited four hours, drove off without even letting her hardly speak, and stated to his office that she didn't have a key, which is not true. There were witnesses that saw she had a key. I am not sure why this company decided to be so horrible to my aunts caregiver, but they don't deserve anyone's business. There are plenty of tow companies out there I highly recommend others, especially MID VALLEY towing in North Hollywood. They had the car and were fantastic. And when I called to ask why they didn't pick up the car and tried to explain the fellow at the office hung up on me again these people don't deserve anyone's business. read more
