Had a tire bow out on Sierra Highway. All the service seemed fine. The guy was courteous but had no clue how to get my spare out of the car. As I watched him he didn't jack the car up enough to put the spare on flush. He than put one lug but on and realized he needed to Jack the car up more. He said he couldn't put the locking lug but on the spare. He used one of the extras lug nuts and didn't put it on straight. Now the tire store can't get it off and has to replace the post! The tire store also said he could have used the locking lug nut on the spare. read more

absolute atrocious behavior by driver assigned to pick up a car at the direction of AAA of California. the car was at an impound lot (where they also tow cars for a living) He grumbled and said he could not tow because there was no key. THE PERSON with the car HAD THE KEY BUT HE WALKED AWAY WITHOUT LISTENING and drove off. Even the owners of the impound yard yelled at him to come back!! prior to this, we waited from 11:50 am (dispatch) until 2:45 before he arrived. No call, no communication. My car broke down in the highway a few weeks ago after working a 16 hour day. It was about 2 I. The morning and all I wanted to do was go home. After a brief wait, Zulu came to my rescue. He got my car on the tow truck very quickly, dropped my car off at my local mechanic, and was nice enough to drive me home after all of this to make sure I made it home safely. Zulu is the best! If I could report these people for fraud, I would. I have reported them to Triple AAA. Triple AAA sent them to pick up my son's car after he hydroplaned across the freeway and collided with the center barrier. He gave them the address of the repair service they were to tow it to. Because it was after hours, they told him they would tow it to their location and take it to his repair service place the following day. When he called the repair shop 3 days later, the car was not there. At this point, because he was working he asked me to call the towing service. I did and was told we owed them $1,260.00 CASH before they would release the car. They said they had towed it to our repair shop and it was closed so they told my son they were taking it to their location and he would have to have his insurance company pick it up. They never told him that. They claimed he signed a receipt stating such, but refused to show it to me. Said since I had full coverage, I should just call my insurance company and they would pay for the towing and the storage fees. I called my agent and put her on the phone with them; she was privy to their yelling and screaming. At one point, another man showed up yelling at me, "Who are you? Who are you?" I said, "I'm the owner of the car." He said, "Well I'm the owner of this business and get out of my office." At that point, the tow truck driver my insurance company had sent showed up. They gave him the keys and I walked away with my $1260.00 in cash still in my purse. If YELP had minus stars, that's what these people deserve. read more

The reason of the two stars is because costumer service. The guy who answered the phone was very aggressive. First, he asked me what was the problem with my car. I explained what in my understanding was the issues since I am not a technician. Then, he said it was the battery and that he was going to send a guy to jumpstart my car. I tried to explain to him that I needed a tow truck because I have my other car with me and I needed to take the broken car to the dealership since it's a new car that I just bought six weeks ago ( Hyundai Veloster ) the car is supposed to be under warranty and you know the dealerships it may take it 3 hrs, one day or the whole weekend since I didn't have any appointment because this was totally unexpected. After all this dilemma, the guy on the phone told me "if you need a tow truck it will take 4 to six hours" Obviously, this response was unacceptable and I suggested that I might better call roadside assistance again ro find a different company. Then he replied the following "ok call other company the might give you an express 15 min service. That was very rude and sarcastic when you are in a emergency situation and what you need is help not bad attitude for an employee, manager, or owner of a company that is getting paid to do his job. My kid and I got stranded in Burbank after hitting some road debris, our car started making horrible noises about 15 minutes away from home at 9:30 pm and had to get off the freeway. We were so fortunate to have Zulu from Rowlett come to the rescue. Rather then Zulu taking the easy way out and just towing us home and leaving us with the problem. He actually fixed the problem by tearing out the plastic that was rubbing up against my tire. He was definitely our knight in shining armor that night! I've needed to be towed a few times and this is inarguably the worse experiencei hopped in my car and discovered my tire was flat. I called AAA -they were great as always. The tow man arrived very quickly. But after my car was on the truck bed this guy refused to take me to the designated spot. He kept telling me my destination was 12 Mike's away and my card didn't cover that. THE DESTINATION WAS 4 Miles! I argued with him for 15 mins while the place was preparing to close. Then he said he didn't have time for me because he was about to be off. He said he was going to drop me off at pepboys. NOT where I had already made an appointment. He said " I don't know. I'm just driver." So I sat there looking up a "closer establishment" While he grumbled about me wasting his time. Then he pointed on his paperwork and asked for my help. To which I replied, "I dunno, I'm just the customer." I found a new place. Made an appointment while we drove. And guided him the whole way with my waze app. God bless waze. After he dropped my car off his weak demeanor seemed slightly apologetic but he never said anything. As he drove off I was tempted to flip him the bird. read more

Rowlett Towing and my driver Kilo were awesome! They were prompt and courteous and I would highly recommend them!!!

Let me explain: The only reason these guys got an extra star is because he did get my car to MY repair shop!!! I was in an accident on the freeway. He arrived and I asked if he was there, sent from [unnamed] repair shop. HE SAID YES. Awesome, I thought. Things are moving. Then as he gets the chains attached to my vehicle I get a call from a tow company - says he was ordered by the repair shop and enroute. I asked Rowlett AGAIN - in fact, I asked no less than four times if he was from my specific repair shop and each time he said yes! So the guy on the phone tells me to proceed and I assume I am doing the right thing. (This is the first significant accident I've ever been involved so I don't know the games about to reveal themselves.) We get in his truck, with my car loaded, and begin to drive off. He begins laying into me about the fees due and then he's taking me to his yard. WTF I replied?!? I told him to stop if it was necessary but I needed to make some phone calls. I proceeded to call my agent.... Long story short - this snake was preying on people like me. We get into accidents, they sit there listening on the scanners and leap. Like a hungry alligator. What should have been a ~$200 tow ended up being a $450 tow. (Yes, I did get him to take me and my car to MY repair shop, but only w a strong determination by me!!!) THEN, as if this slimeball wasn't bad enough, when we got to my repair shop I went into the office while he unloaded my car. I quickly explained what was happening to the staff and they informed me that this is not uncommon and that they would take things from there. Finally, he gets my car off the bed and comes into the shop insisting on a $450 payment. The shop explains that they will pay the bill and he upped the rate to $500 without even blinking!!!!! These guys are scam artists. These guys write a very fine line and I believe the insurance companies have enough power that they could stop this. End of the day they are paying the bill. It is in their best interest to not feed into this disgusting practice. If I understood his BS properly... He would've charged me $250 to take me to his yard but then I would start accruing $100+ fees/day for storage!!!! My repair shop was definitely proud of me for getting the vehicle to them instead of taken to his yard. Probably still cost less even though he charged more. Anyway, I think everyone needs to be aware of this scam/racket and if anyone could help put a stop to it through legislation, I think that should be done!!! read more

If I could not give a single star for this rating I would. I had to contact AAA for some car trouble and needed a tow. I'm approximately 1.6 miles away from home. The driver arrives and isn't really interested in hearing my issues whatsoever. He started to approach me and I asked if he had a mask, because I'm not yet vaccinated and have a right to my protection. Clearly that request was too much for him because instead of towing my car 6mins down the street he instead moved it into an alley behind a restaurant and left. I learned from the AAA agent that i then had to wait another 2.5 hours for that my alternator is the issue and because he can't put my car in neutral his truck can't lift my car without damage to the suspension. This is the same truck that the driver Richard was driving, meaning my suspension may have damage due to his negligence. read more

This is where I had to come to pick up my son's motorcycle and personal belongings after he had an accident. He spent 4 days in the hospital and had 1 surgery but luckily he will heal completely!!! For that I am thankful. I was more thankful to find that this company had all of his his personal belongings from his helmet to his backpack and laptop which all survived with minor scratches. They were also professional and pleasant. I chose to give 4 stars is because the cost to get these things was pricy. The the accident was on Friday night, they were closed Saturday and Sunday and come Monday, I had to pay for 4 days but, my son was still alive, his brand new laptop was retrieved and you can't put a price on all that!!! read more

These guys are amazing. I got into a terrible accident with my toddler in the car. A huge work truck rear ended me today and my car spin in the rain and hit a post. Thank God me and my daughter are ok. Paramedics and law enforcement was here getting a report. Although the paramedics were here to help my daughter wasn't comfortable with them, was terrified and shook up with what happen. When Rowlett arrived they were very helpful, friendly and sympathetic towards the situation. The driver calmed my daughter and myself down until my husband was able to get to us. The driver helped us get our personal belongings from the car and assured us that everything was going to be ok. Gave us all the information where the vehicle was going to be taken and even helped me receive the police report so I can just hug my little one. Although my car was in very bad conditions they managed to tie it down and still handle it with care. I'm very appreciative towards them and grateful for their service! read more

He was excellent at communicating what he recommended and he put in extra effort to tow us to our preferred destination. Having to call a Tow company means that, most likely, something very bad has occurred to you or your loved ones while in their vehicle; it's stressful, scary and maybe even expensive in the long run, not to mention, potentially very dangerous as was my wife and kids predicament was when they were struck on the side of the freeway without me there. Customer beware. This place is out to take customers in vulnerable positions for a ride. They do so by either giving misinformation or not providing clear consistent information. All they see you as is a dollar sign. Very unprofessional, inappropriate and dishonest. Clearly greed is a priority. When communicating with them get a name and time of communication, and write down what they tell you. As they WILL backtrack on anything they say. Take pictures of your vehicle's exterior and interior as things will likely get "lost" in the shuffle. This is poor example of humanity during these already difficult times. read more

I called and told them in person, on the same day, to release the car to my insurance and they gave us the run around saying I never gave them permission to release the car. Most recently I had a terrible towing experience but then I called AAA and they sent out this company and my driver was Sebastian, First hand I know some tow truck drivers are sometimes not super nice. This dude went above and beyond and stayed with me for the entire time and help me figure out how to tow my electric vehicle that was dead. It's not the easiest task but this guy Sebastian legit is super dope! And I was blessed to get him! Horrible experience with this company. Had a flat tire on the freeway called AAA and these guys came out. When he got there he said he couldn't take us because we had 4 ppl in the car. I said fine at least take us out of harms way off the freeway he said ok. Went to make a call came back and said oh there's a bigger tow truck on it's way they will be here in 10min, the guy got in his truck and left us!! I thought this company was amazing the first time they assisted me, but they pulled the "Low quote now, oops just kidding now" card on me when they came back to install a battery. The service man called his boss to see if they could honor my earlier quote, and the guy wouldn't budge. I specifically requested that this company be the one that AAA sent to me because of their service, but I was proved wrong. I couldn't afford their second quote, so I was left stranded, and the work wasn't done. I am so frustrated. I just can't believe that they wouldn't go the extra inch for customer service- and its not about service at that point... it's about humanity and being a good guy... seeing someone in a time of serious need and honoring the quote your representative gave. The guy just drove away while I was in tears. Not sure what to do now, but I will never trust them again. read more

BEWARE -- Rowlett will take advantage of you when you are in a stressful and vulnerable position. They are a very unethical bunch. Just let them jump or tow your car to your mechanic, period. Only that. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. It'll be money thrown out because you probably don't need it. Let your mechanic, who is a real professional and someone you have a relationship with, make decisions with you about your car. Not some guy who splits the profit of products with AAA and will sell you the moon ( or a new battery in my case) if he can. You need a jump or a tow that's ALL they should do. Absolutely horrible company. The driver couldn't find me with clear instructions then arrived and was so rude. His name was Mike. This horrible man with a Napoleon complex. Pulled my car out my spot to begin the tow. Casually told me my engine was bad -- making panic (he is not a mechanic). When I told him to not discuss it with me I didn't want to be further stressed. He told me I could be stressed all I want but not stress him and he would gladly take leave my car. I was shocked and angered. Told him nevermind, I would call AAA for a different tow company, this he said fine. Left my car in the middle of the parking lot were "he" drove it, blocking cars and unable to start. Got into his truck and left me there. He thinks he so strong and tough. A real man. A good man. A decent man wouldn't behave that way. Never use them!!!! read more

I got these guys this weekend for a tow on a flat tire. I can't remember my guys name but he was new . Shaved head really nice guy. Honestly handled my car with awesome care. Made sure when he dropped off my car at the tire shop I chose that I was alright and was very safe since I was alone. I wish I remembered te guys name who helped me because he was awesome and deserves a raise!!! We were talking in the car he was a bartender and past bus driver. This company is a piece of shit. They recruit people to work for them as trainees, they use them and then they refuse to pay them. When my husband asked for his paycheck as he was promised to get paid today, they said he they didnt know him, as soon as I told them who I was apparently they knew who my husband was. Now they want to pay him $200 just to get him away that's 15 hours worked.. my husband worked for them for over a week that is more than 15 hours. U ppl are disgusting!!!
