Staff is very friendly and the instructors were great! There is deodorant, tampons and all other essentials in their bathrooms! Great PH balance water filters for your needs. Clean lockers and cubbies. Towels, weights, yoga mats, air condition, and--of course--amazing rowing machines. The instructors work with you to motivate and push you to your limit and the crowd is great as you guys row to the beat! (Photo is blurred out of request)

What a wonderful post Christmas surprise, blessing and gift! My first time here and certainly not my last. Going to figure out what package to proceed with. From start to finish, what an excellent, professional, welcoming and supportive experience. No judgment. Patience. Community. I could sense such a positive vibe here. My first time rowing as well. Sure, I've dabbled with it in the big gyms but with wrong form and certainly not for a 45 min session. The music, cadence, all of it was handled expertly. HIIT, body weight exercises, dumbbell work and stretching. Shout out to Kelsey who welcomed me with such warmth and a thank you for coming handwritten card. Another shout out to Megan, our coach, who was so fun, funny, motivational, and helpful. I am so glad to have made it in today! I am bringing my friend next time!

I took a "body" class with Bryan, and it was great! I loved his energy, and thought he was clear and easy to follow. His playlist was awesome too! I was pumped! It's nice to know that they have different types of classes based on what you're looking for - the "body" class actually incorporated weights in between rows.. so you get a bit of weights thrown in along with your cardio. Row House classes are structured similarly to Cycling studios in the sense that you're in a dim room with upbeat music, and you're mainly following along with whatever the instructor does. Just instead of bikes you have row machines. I just find rowing really challenging in the sense that I'm never sure that my body positioning and movement is 100% accurate. Come 20-30 minutes early if it's your first time, and they'll walk you through positioning and provide guidance on how to row and what to expect. It definitely takes time and skill to really learn how to row properly! It's a great low impact workout though, and it's always fun to try something new.

The first half of the class was an interval training between walking, jogging, and running. And the second half of the class was strength training. I wish there was more guidance from the instructor for the second half but it was just following what was on the screen like 100 step ups, 90 plank shoulder taps, 80 something, 70 something, etc. It was kind of like F45 style but without the timer and stations. Since there wasnt too much guidance on that part, I felt like I pretty much paid for an interval training on the treadmill. I enjoyed the experience though and would be open to trying out a different class to give it a fair review of if I want to continue or not. I'm still giving it a solid 4 stars though because I pay attention to little details. This studio had HAIR TIES and TAMPONS and even face wash in their bathrooms for us girlies and it's not much but so thoughtful!! Also there are earplugs inside the studio room for those who think its too loud!!! I get headaches when its too loud so I felt so seen and understood by the studio. Also at the end of class, a staff walks around passing out COLD WET TOWELS so you can cool down. These are all little extras that really make a studio stand out so kudos to this place!!

The biggest difference is the coaching. At the Irvine studio, the coaches bring incredible energy, actively motivate members, provide form corrections, and create an environment that makes you want to push yourself. It reminds me why I joined Orangetheory in the first place. At this location, the coaching often feels passive. In particular, Coach Melanie frequently spends a significant portion of class socializing with members instead of coaching. During those classes, there is very little motivation, almost no form correction, and limited engagement with the room as a whole. As a result, the workout feels much less structured and inspiring. I find myself driving an extra 20 minutes to another Orangetheory studio simply because the coaching quality is so much better. That's disappointing, especially when I have a studio much closer to home. The staff is always friendly, and I appreciate that. I just hope the studio places more emphasis on active coaching, member engagement, and helping everyone get the most out of their workout. Great coaches make all the difference, and I know this studio has the potential to provide that experience.

People can go into the shower and shower for 30 minutes or more and use 8 bottles of spa treatments and leave people standing in line for 15 minutes or more who just wanted to be able to take a quick shower after a workout or being in the pool. Too bad for you! What a joke. This has happened to me numerous times. And the hair washing queens didn't come from the pool, because I swim in the pool. It's just from regular classes. I belong to another Club Studio in a different city, and I've never seen this problem. And I can't even see anything so alluring about the showers at this gym that you'd even want to stay in there for over 30 minutes. In the bathroom, though, Club Studio has "water-saving" motion detected faucets. Serious! If this gives you any idea of what the clientele is like that goes to this place and it doesn't sound like fun having to deal with in the locker room and showers, don't go here. Some good things I can say about this Irvine Club Studio is they do have a clean pool to use, and one of the managers, Julia, was really helpful with dealing with a problem that came up. The trouble with this place is they're just usually too busy trying to cater to the over-entitled instead of doing a good job of running a gym.

I love the combination of strength and stretch it offers. The instructors are all great, but my favorites are Maili and Meghan. They are the only two that recognized I was new when I walked in the door and made an effort to learn my name right away. They are also the only two instructors that give both recognition and corrections to every single person in class. I really appreciate the attention without feeling singled out. The other instructors just walk around the room and praise the people they know, which is fine, but it makes me appreciate Maili and Meghan that much more for caring about everyone in the room. Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant interaction with an instructor named Anika after class today. My husband came with me as my guest. The app wouldn't allow me to check him in because it said he hadn't signed a waiver. However, we took a class together last Saturday and this wasn't required then, so the process was confusing. This was only his second time attending as my guest. After class, we were asking the instructor we took our class with and the instructor for the next class, Anika, on how to go about the process of signing the waiver and checking in. Anika's tone was very rude and condescending. Eventually we ended up in the corner area with the instructor from the class we had just taken, who was kindly helping my husband create an account and sign the waiver. While this was happening, Anika approached us and told us that we needed to leave because her class was starting. At the same time, she also insisted that my husband had to sign the waiver before we could leave. This was confusing because her class hadn't even started yet--the clients were still arriving--and we were already in the process of completing what she said needed to be done. The issue wasn't the policy itself, but the way it was communicated. Her tone was rude and condescending toward my husband and our friends who were with us. My husband and two friends, who have also been taking classes here with me for years, were all surprised by how we were spoken to. We've never experienced this type of interaction with any other instructor at the studio. We truly enjoy this studio and the Lagree classes, which is why this interaction stood out so much. I just hope future situations like this can be handled with clearer communication and a more courteous approach.

Some of the instructors were very friendly and welcoming, but others came across as uninterested and not very approachable. The workouts are strong, but that's not the differentiator. The community is. You see the same people consistently, and over time it becomes a tight, supportive group. It's rare to find a gym where you actually look forward to who's going to be there, not just what's programmed. Programming is thoughtful and well-balanced -- strength + high-intensity cardio -- and it never gets stale. Chris (owner/instructor) is especially good at reading people and pushing you just past where you think your limit is. You end up doing more than you expected, regularly. There's also real connection beyond the floor. They organize occasional events -- I recently did a cooking class with ~20 women from the gym -- and it adds another layer to the experience. I've always been active, but this is the first time in 20+ years I've been this consistent. That's not accidental -- it's because of the environment.
