They took one look and explained that the original piercing hadn't been placed deep enough, so it had gradually grown out. Instead of trying to force it or sell me on an immediate re-piercing, they honestly advised me to wait about four months to let it heal completely. They told me to come back afterward so they could check how it had healed and determine whether it could be safely re-pierced. I really appreciated their honesty and putting my health before making a sale. When I returned, Pixie re-pierced my rook and also did my conch and flat piercings. She was absolutely fantastic. I tend to feel faint during piercings, and she immediately recognized the signs before I even had to say anything. She calmly talked me through it, helped me get settled, and I felt better almost instantly. I never felt rushed and always felt like I was in very capable hands. The studio is spotless, and it's obvious that Pixie is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. She explained everything clearly, made sure the placement was exactly what I wanted, and was incredibly patient while I took forever deciding on my jewelry. Honestly, one of the reasons it was so hard to choose was because they have such an amazing selection. I usually have a hard time finding earrings that I actually like, but there were so many beautiful, high-quality pieces that narrowing it down was the hardest part of the appointment. I was also amazed by the healing process. These have been, by far, the easiest piercings I've ever recovered from. I had very little soreness afterward, and what discomfort I did have was gone within just a couple of days. I can't recommend Safe Harbor Piercing enough. If you're looking for a clean, professional studio with someone who truly knows what they're doing, ask for Pixie. I'll definitely be back--not just for more piercings, but for jewelry too. Even though we all have very different belly button shapes, he pierced all of us with the exact same size jewelry--mistake #1. Hours later it started hurting. The next day it began swelling to the point that my stomach was closing in on the gem. I went to see him on Tuesday because he wasn't working Sunday or Monday. He told me my issue was that I was cleaning it too much as if that would cause the amount of swelling, bruising, and puss that I was seeing. He squeezed puss out of it and then took it out and replaced it with a longer bar, saying it would be fine. 2 days passed and it was hurting worse and worse. I couldn't sleep because of the pain, despite taking tons of advil and not touching it at all. I decided to see a different piercer because he had been so dismissive of me the first time. The new piercer told me it had been done originally with a size about 3x too small for my anatomy. He said the piercing was so bad and swelling that it would take up to a year to heal if it did at all. We ended up taking it out and my piercer was appalled that the longer bar was a straight bar that Dave had BENT himself to shape it to a navel piercing. This piercer told me NEVER to go back to Dave again. I spoke to him today and he said he does not issue any refunds and "different piercers have different techniques." There is no way that putting a bent bar into someone's navel is a valid technique. Pictures are below. Dave can say what he wants, but a safely done piercing should never react like that for so long. Do not go here under any circumstances.

They have an ATM onsite and also accepted digital transfer like venmo and zelle to save on the fees. My most recent visit was about 2 weeks ago, when I walked in to have finger tattoos touched up. They were originally done out of the country and had started to fade a lot, with one almost disappearing. I walked in on a Sunday around the time that they opened and was able to go straight down. My artist did a great job in a short amount of time. I will definitely return to Floating World for future tattoos!
