    Bray Wyatt Fiend & Lantern

Bray Wyatt Fiend & Lantern Rodney did an amazing job! I told him to do whatever he want with his creativity, and he nailed it once again! His work is outstanding. And his work ethic is on point! A gentleman, not heavy handed, and knows what he's doing! Check out his work, you won't be disappointed!

DO NOT GET PIERCED HERE!!! I'm giving 3 stars because the entire rest of the staff was wonderful, but I didn't get ink, so I can't say anything about their skill, just that they were kind and patient people. The shop is exceptionally clean for a shop full of men, even the bathroom was spotless. So if you like the artwork and are contemplating ink, it's probably a safe bet. But do not go to get a piercing. I scheduled an appointment the day before for 5/13/22 to get spider bites on my lower left lip. My lower lip is visibly larger than my upper, and I know I'm a sweller, even if it doesn't hurt. Before even leaving the house, I know to pack motrin for the pain and swelling. Usually I remember to take it before I actually sit down for my piercings, but my brain blanked and it wasn't until he was handing me the mouthwash that I remembered. So we have a quick conversation about it, where I tell him that I always take motrin before getting pierced (I have several other face and body piercings, at least half a dozen visible) To which he responds that motrin isn't good for swelling and that swelling won't kick in for a few hours. If we hadn't already discussed my other piercings, I could dismiss it as him thinking he's calming my nerves, but the context and tone was giving this man thinks he knows my body better than I do. The piercings themselves went quick and mostly smooth, but he chose the shortest jewelry possible, which isn't ideal for someone who swells, but he assured me it would be fine and if I needed a jewelry change, to come back in, no problem. Well a few hours later, when I decided to eat dinner, it was all problems. Both balls unscrewed and fell out, so I immediately texted the shop. I was told that since it was past closing to come back in tomorrow, and he'll fix it. So I give up on eating til I can get well fitting jewelry and do my best to sleep with caution, which just lead to not sleeping for fear of losing my stems and being back at square one. The next afternoon, I go back after finishing my errands. I was told the piercer comes in at 2, so I got there quarter past 3. Upon arrival, I was told that he was out to lunch and would be back at 4:30, so I decide to wait in my car. 4:30 rolls around and he's still not back. All of the artists are with clients, so I decide to wait until one of them finishes as to not interrupt, because at this point I'm in a foul mood and have a sneaking suspicion that I'm not going to get my jewelry changed that day. Around 5:20, one of them wraps and I ask if he know whether or not the piercer is coming back that day. After a few confused conversations around the shop, he goes and gives the piercer a call. Turns out he decided to leave for the day since he had no official appointments booked. I don't know if the person who answered my texts the night before relayed the message or not, but regardless the lack of professionalism and basic decency to tell your coworkers your leaving for the day is appalling. The artist who assisted me was very patient and understanding, which considering this wasn't his problem to deal with in the first place, I greatly appreciated. Once he understood the issue, he immediately sought out solution and grabbed me the right sized jewelry. He urged me to wait until they opened back up Monday to get it changed, but I had my forceps in the car just in case some foolishness happened. It took from Saturday to Wednesday for the swelling to finally go down from all the unnecessary irritation, but the initial bars are still way too small to even think about wearing comfortably. If I didn't have seven years of experience with piercings, I would have wasted my money going here. It was still 1000% a waste of my time and energy. And even with my knowhow, I appreciate shops that don't make me use it. When it comes to things going in or on my body, I prefer professionalism to personality. My surgeon's never made me laugh, but he also didn't kill me when he cut me open, and I'm pretty sure the latter is more important. From now on, I'll stick to Infinite.

Artists are very down to earth and not too pricey. Plenty of parking is a plus. An honest buisness thats hard to find today.

They were originally done out of the country and had started to fade a lot, with one almost disappearing. I walked in on a Sunday around the time that they opened and was able to go straight down. My artist did a great job in a short amount of time. I will definitely return to Floating World for future tattoos!

For Review 1300 I'm going to give it up to the place that made my first tattoo a reality!…read more For close to 2 decades my first tattoo has been something the I had completely over thought with complicated design after random art and pop culture ideas that I have a limited scope of connection with currently. It finally got the point were I hd just decided to go with something simple that played toward my favorite holiday (https://youtu.be/UlaFe66MrTI). So when I saw that Moo Tattoo had their special tattoo deal for Halloween, I knew it was the time to go and have my first taste of the ink. Especially since it gave me the chance to get a tattoo from someone I knew I wanted to work with. For a few years Noah has been a good drinking buddy at Tattooed Mom, and I've shared many good conversations about art, south philly, and cats. And I've especially marveled over things like the watercolor tattoos that he's done. So between that and the praise that people like Jenna C. gave for Moo handling people getting their first tattoo, I knew it was the spot to go to. With there being a holiday flash special all weekend the shop was crowded beyond belief. But Noah and his crew managed to accommodate above and beyond, and even took some design requests within reason of what fit the size requirements. With it being all hollows eve there were plenty of ghosts, skulls, witches, and other spooky designs that were relevant to my interests. But I opted to go with a black cat in respect to Tippy Moo Cat (RIP! - https://www.facebook.com/TippyMooCat/), and Noah's sabretooth kitty, Mort. After a successful first tattoo Noah provided me with some spot on cleaning and care suggestions, and even made sure to send a follow up on it. With a first tattoo marked on the books, it goes without saying that I have acquired the itch for more. and with awesome service and spot on artists, Moo is definitely going to be a spot that I go to for at least a couple more!

Even though we all have very different belly button shapes, he pierced all of us with the exact same size jewelry--mistake #1. Hours later it started hurting. The next day it began swelling to the point that my stomach was closing in on the gem. I went to see him on Tuesday because he wasn't working Sunday or Monday. He told me my issue was that I was cleaning it too much as if that would cause the amount of swelling, bruising, and puss that I was seeing. He squeezed puss out of it and then took it out and replaced it with a longer bar, saying it would be fine. 2 days passed and it was hurting worse and worse. I couldn't sleep because of the pain, despite taking tons of advil and not touching it at all. I decided to see a different piercer because he had been so dismissive of me the first time. The new piercer told me it had been done originally with a size about 3x too small for my anatomy. He said the piercing was so bad and swelling that it would take up to a year to heal if it did at all. We ended up taking it out and my piercer was appalled that the longer bar was a straight bar that Dave had BENT himself to shape it to a navel piercing. This piercer told me NEVER to go back to Dave again. I spoke to him today and he said he does not issue any refunds and "different piercers have different techniques." There is no way that putting a bent bar into someone's navel is a valid technique. Pictures are below. Dave can say what he wants, but a safely done piercing should never react like that for so long. Do not go here under any circumstances.
