Even though we all have very different belly button shapes, he pierced all of us with the exact same size jewelry--mistake #1. Hours later it started hurting. The next day it began swelling to the point that my stomach was closing in on the gem. I went to see him on Tuesday because he wasn't working Sunday or Monday. He told me my issue was that I was cleaning it too much as if that would cause the amount of swelling, bruising, and puss that I was seeing. He squeezed puss out of it and then took it out and replaced it with a longer bar, saying it would be fine. 2 days passed and it was hurting worse and worse. I couldn't sleep because of the pain, despite taking tons of advil and not touching it at all. I decided to see a different piercer because he had been so dismissive of me the first time. The new piercer told me it had been done originally with a size about 3x too small for my anatomy. He said the piercing was so bad and swelling that it would take up to a year to heal if it did at all. We ended up taking it out and my piercer was appalled that the longer bar was a straight bar that Dave had BENT himself to shape it to a navel piercing. This piercer told me NEVER to go back to Dave again. I spoke to him today and he said he does not issue any refunds and "different piercers have different techniques." There is no way that putting a bent bar into someone's navel is a valid technique. Pictures are below. Dave can say what he wants, but a safely done piercing should never react like that for so long. Do not go here under any circumstances.

I heard great things about this business years ago but clearly they have gone downhill. Both of my older nieces had their ears pierced and my sister had zero issues. That clearly has changed. First I booked this appointment on 10/3 for 10/18. I selected the 10am time slot. On the website, you have to select a time along with the day, even though the rules state that the time is not accurate. I'm not sure why they have time selection when they only promise the date not the exact time or even a time window. They should just have a date. You have to pay in full and prices are not cheap. I actually selected my mother's address in Philly because it was extra to have them come to the suburbs. That made sense for a business who travels. I went a week and a half before I noticed that my payment on my credit card dropped off. There's no option to contact them, but to use a little survey box on their website with your email address and message. I messaged them inquiring about my appointment because I saw that the payment was canceled on their website and my bank never processed it. I never heard back from them directly but the next day I did receive an email confirming my appointment and I saw that they had charged my credit card. Fast forward to the night before my scheduled appointment. I received a text from an anonymous number around 2 AM stating that my window for my appointment was actually 12 PM to 4 PM. The text message said that is when the nurse would be in the area of the address that I put in for the appointment. That annoyed me because even though I've read the rules, I still thought that because I selected the first appointment on that day, the window for my appointment would be earlier. I knew I just had a feeling that something was gonna go wrong but I was at my mom's house well in advance of 12 PM. The text message the night before it said that I would be sent a separate text message with an ETA during the 12 PM to 4 PM window. Around 345, I texted the number that had texted me the night before and said that I never received an ETA despite it being 15 minutes before 4PM. I received a response less than 10 minutes later stating that they apologize and will reach out to the nurse who was supposed to be servicing my appointment. That took another 20-ish minutes. I got a response that the nurse had car trouble and was waiting on AAA. I'm not following why the nurse would not reach out to me directly to tell me that she was delayed or wouldn't be able to make it. Why did I have to reach out because I had not heard anything for my ETA? Why is no one monitoring? I received a text that Offered me an appointment for the next day with no timeframe or anything just that there would be a nurse available tomorrow. Honestly, I still would not have moved forward with the appointment but why not clearly State my appointment time or that I would have the very first appointment tomorrow there was no urgency to accommodate a customer who was unsatisfied and who had been disappointed. Also a customer that had to reach out to the business first. I promptly asked for a refund ASAP. I should have read all of the review reviews on yelp before booking this appointment. I just had heard the rave reviews from my sister but I never considered how much older my nieces were and how fast businesses can go downhill. Please stay away!
