He really went out of his way to help me feel confident about what I'd decided on. I had a pretty specific reference and he absolutely nailed it. I couldn't be happier with how it came out. I am so happy we called Neckboneink We walked in 15 minutes after getting off the phone and Mike was willing to accommodate and work with us which was a blessing during these COVID times. He listened to us and offer his professional opinion in a respectful manner. We spent 30-40 minutes on the design as simple as it was, customizing it for each of us to make sure all three of us where happy and the details were perfect. The tattoo process was smooth and comfortable thanks to Mike being down to earth and so easy to talk to. Before I knew it my tattoo was done. He answered all my questions and shared with me his love for tattooing and how the industry/ tattoo process have changed over the years and the new tattoo advancements he's implemented himself like his tattoo machine and the derm shield which he uses for his clients. He sent us home with after care instructions, tattoo goo and tattoo lotion. The derm shield was heaven sent and made the healing process seamless and fast compared to my other tattoos which didn't have the derm shield on it. All I had to do in terms of after care was leave the derm shield on for 5 days and after that just moisturize. My tattoo didn't scab and healed beautifully and fast. The parlor itself was impeccable and spotless. You could tell that Mike put his heart and soul into the shop. The shop was decorated beautifully with Mikes artwork from framed pieces, to canvases and a giant tv showing a slide show of his tattoo work. Even the curtains separating tattoo stations were customized with his art on them. Definitely the nicest shop I've been to and I've been to several. Overall I cannot recommend Mike and Neckboneink enough. I will not be going anywhere else for future tattoos. Such an incredible experience from start to finish. Thank you Mike!!

I went back 2 weeks later for a small tattoo for myself and then within months, was collaborating with Mike on a half sleeve incorporate a cover-up. I gave Mike reference photos of the 2 dragons I wanted, some high-level ideas and a deposit and he turned that into a beautiful piece. We had sessions every two weeks for 3 months and I can confidently say he is consistently friendly, chill, cares about his clients' comfort, has little ego and really wants people to love their ink. He pretty much wasn't willing to do that part of the work. The one larger more detailed item he was more interested in doing as long as it was visible to others (correctly in his opinion). When I showed him where I wanted it on my arm again near heart attack as I have an old scar and his response was "That scar is unfortunate". Lastly when I asked for a ballpark price for 4 sets of plain initials and a small crest all just black he said 3-4 hours and $500-$600. I had everything printed to scale no artwork required on his part. It would not have taken more than an hour. I suggest you run from this place.
