I've had several good experiences here, but today was not one of them. First, the piercing room that I was put in smelled really bad. It was also so small that I stubbed my toe on the metal holding up the bed and almost tripped into the door. Second, the piercer didn't clean or swab the area (of my body) at all before inserting jewelry, which I've never had happen (and I have a lot of piercings). She also didn't do it after. It kinda felt like an infection waiting to happen. Lastly, I was quoted one price at the counter and given another price -- about 30% higher -- on the back end. Again, I've had two or three good experiences here and have probably spent somewhere around a grand all in. But this experience really turned me off and I don't know if I'll be back. read more

I have heard nothing but great things about infinite. My husband has 5 piercings there and my good friend 3, both of which directed me there for another piercing. We decided somewhat last minute to drop in on a Saturday around 6 PM. The front desk woman could not have been more rude. She made me feel unwelcomed for not having an appointment, and I felt judged the entire time I was in the space. I totally get being appointments only now, but perhaps a sign should be posted saying this. The website has an option for to book an appointment, but no where that says it is mandatory. I still would have understood this policy, if she was not completely rude and dismissive of me and my friends. We then asked to look at the jewelry, no help was offered. When I asked a question about a piece she again made me feel dumb for not realizing it was something I would need an appointment to fit. For a company that praises themselves on making people feel welcomed and comfortable, she was anything but. I felt judged and like an outsider. We went a few doors down to No Kai Oi, who could not have been any nicer. I am happy my money went to a shop/workers who are kind, love what they do, and value their customers. read more

Not that these guys need it, but I just wanted to take a moment to sing my high praises for this gem of a studio. First of all, they take the pandemic very seriously - appointments must be booked in advance, and masks are required. No more than 5 people at a time allowed in the main room, and that includes the staff, so they truly stay away from overcrowding. Now onto the good stuff. The entire experience was truly stellar from start to finish. EVERYONE on staff, from the front counter person, Scout; to one of the piercers, Zack; to my actual piercer, John - ALL of them are a fantastic, knowledgeable, and truly helpful bunch who want to make sure you walk out feeling like a million bucks. I was there to get my first helix (pierced elsewhere, one month prior) replaced with proper jewelry (I had something less than ideal) and slightly stretched bc it was too small. Then I was adding a second helix below it. Scout knew absolutely everything about the jewelry and helped me pick. Zack chimed in with advice as well. They recommended threadless, surgical-grade titanium jewelry for healing a new piercing, but they also had tons of beautiful options, also available in gold. Onto the appointment itself: John, the head piercer, switched out my original helix earring with such deftness that I literally did not feel the sensation of the earring being inserted. SKILLS, my friends. Then he pierced my second helix, which involved super minimal pain, really a dream experience. Kookie, one of the piercers from Inifinite's Baltimore location, was visiting as a guest piercer and joined John for my session. She also gave me helpful tips. The three of us hit it off and the entire appointment was full of sass and laughter. These people were so much fun it made you want to grab a bite with them after just to hang out. Btw, their aftercare guide is a custom-printed booklet (not some generic printout) on beautiful, thick, magazine-quality paper. These guys take aftercare seriously, and they want to make sure that you do too. I really wish I'd gotten my first cartilage piercing at Infinite - but at the same time, having gone somewhere that was a far cry from this experience made me appreciate Infinite's caliber of service even more. My piercings are healing beautifully, and I'll be back in 6 weeks to downsize the post as John advised. If you have a chance to get pierced here, GO. Just giving yet another update. Got my third piercing here. I really love this place. Always great vibes from the counter staff and piercers, and the wait times are never too bad. I always make sure to go at a decent time and have an appt so it's never been too long of wait. Maybe like 5-10 each time I went. I got a septum this time around as well as had a piercing removed because it was rejecting. The piercer Zach was super friendly and conversational. As always he talked through the process and asked me questions about what my end goal was etc. what they say is true: this has been the easiest piercing to heal. Within a few days the tenderness was gone and now it's been 2 1/2 weeks and no pain at all. It feels halfway healed already but I will give it about 3 months before I try moving or changing it. It seems as tho he got it right in my sweet spot even tho he said mine was particularly small. The piercing hurt for sure but literally like a 4 on a scale to 10. It was over and done in a second. I don't care if there's a piercing shop down the street, if I want to get pierced...I'm going to Infinite Body! My first time visiting was back in 2013, when Kali still worked there. So I'll review from my first experience at Infinite Body. Before I visited the shop, I inquired about pricing and possibly getting some custom jewelry made. It took about a week to get my quote, but it came from a reputable jewelry manufacturer and the pricing was decent. Upon entering inside, the first thing that I noticed was how clean the shop was. The jewelry is neatly displayed so you can choose what you want then head to the back. My private room was super clear and almost looked like a room at a doctor's office or hospital. Another notable was how thorough the staff is. From start to finish. The first thing Kali asked me was did I eat. She explained that I needed about 15 minutes in between eating and getting pierced so she would wait for me. I also noticed that she opened the sealed equipment/materials packages (needles, etc) in front of me. She was honest and upfront too. She told me that the surface piercings wouldn't last long because of their location (boob and hips), but she also told me things to avoid to make them last longer. ((Location is IMPORTANT: When getting surface piercings, clothing like bras and t-shirts or underwear and jeans can snatch the jewelry out. Also, locations where there is a lot of movement or bending can cause the piercing(s) to reject or the jewelry to be naturally pushed out. You also can't get re-pierced in the same place. I still have the scars and tough skin from where I was pierced.)) Lastly, Infinite Body has an extremely thorough aftercare guide to keep your piercing(s) clean and uninfected. I turn 44 tomorrow and as a birthday present to myself I went and got my lobes pierced.... As a child I didn't have good experiences with piercings and my ears had got infected and it was painful and not a good time. I decided to do some research and read great things about Infinite so I made an appointment. So happy I did. Every single person who works there is kind and welcoming and patient. Everything was explained to me slowly and thoroughly before during and after my piercing. Zack pierced my ears and I can't say enough good things about him. This place is amazing. I went to get a hoop put in for my nose piercing and they told me I didn't need an appointment I could just come in. Super cute, clean, and queer friendly place. Everyone I spoke with was so knowledgeable and kind! I was brought back pretty quick, and the piercer, who's name is escaping me now, but is so cool and has a black out tattoo on their leg, walked me through how my nose piercing was done really high up and wasn't fully healed and why it's been causing me issues (this piercing was done somewhere else). I felt so validated because I thought I just had a hard time healing or was doing something wrong (I've had my nose pierced and changed at least 4 times by 3 different piercers). They put a much smaller backing on my stud and made my piercing SOOO much more comfortable, and said based on MY anatomy, a hoop would always feel a little off in the spot I have, and walked me through all my options and their opinion on what would look cool! It was the most thorough, KIND piercing appointment I have EVER been to. I live in the suburbs but I don't care, I am ONLY ever going back here. I have gone to Infinite 3 times once for my septum twice for cartilage piercings, the first time with my nose was fine and then the second time I went for my cartilage as it was healing the bar was WAY too short and my ear ate the piercing. I had to get it fixed by another piercer while traveling. I went back a second time to give it another chance and I explained what happened the time prior and they said they'd give me a longer bar. They didn't listen and I had to get my ear checked out by somewhere else again and get a new bar because it wasn't long enough at all. It's frustrating that even giving them another chance and voicing what went wrong last time they completely dismissed it. I wish I could say I would go back since the staff were nice but the fact that they were not listening to what happened prior in the same spot is infuriating and unprofessional. read more

Came here to get my upper ear lobe pierced and the experience was amazing. As a background, I got my lower lobes pierced at Claire's a few years ago. I walked in on a Friday night and there was a 30 minute wait to get it pierced. Didn't expect it to be so popular on a Friday night, but I guess it's a good sign! The place itself felt pretty clean and smells like a hospital, which assured me that the place cleans. When my name was called, they took me to a little room and the piercer carefully and patiently explained the entire process from start to finish and carefully drew where the hole would be. Throughout the entire process, even though I started freaking out, he was really nice and patient and willing to talk to me to calm me down. At the end, he also gave me very detailed steps about how to take care of the piercing. It has been 8 weeks now and I've had no problems with the healing process! I am so extremely pleased with my experience with Infinite Body Piercing. I've heard great things about them but they were above and beyond my already high expectations. I waited an entire year to get my nostril pierced by them (due to the effects of COVID, they weren't found under the mask piercings, understandably) and I am so glad I waited. When I arrived they had me put hand sanitizer on my hands and they also had masks readily available on the same table (I'm guessing for those who may have forgotten theirs). Social Distancing signs were up and all the precautions where in place to ensure that their staff and customers were safe. It was easy checking in. I had booked an appointment online, once I walked in they had me state my name and I moved to the counter, six feet away from the other guest and let them know what type of piercing I was getting. I was informed of the price of the piercing and asked to select which stud I would like for my nose( these do vary in price, but they do let you know the range). After sitting for a few moments in the waiting area I was greeted by Pixie who was my piercer. I let it slip that I was pretty nervous (I have a low pain tolerance) Pixie was honest and let me know that for some people it does hurt but it is mostly a pinch and that it is natural for most peoples eyes to water. Pixie took the time to let me know about the piercing placement and why it was suggested for my nose. After all the information we were ready to pierce. I wasn't bad at all !!! It was such a good experience and I am so glad I came here. I tipped 20% on my card because it didn't dawn on me to bring cash. Please consider bringing cash to tip, I will remember that for the next time I come. Also tip your piercers accordingly, they are not only professionals here, they are taking the time to tend to the needs of guest during a pandemic. While the store does take COVID protocols seriously and I appreciated that, I just personally had a negative experience and wanted to share it so that others could keep these things in mind. The beginning of my appointment was great, I got checked in pretty fast and waited only a little bit before going into one of the rooms with the piercer. We had some good conversation and he was setting everything up. He pierced me and was cleaning up my ear but then kind of hesitated, took some time, and told me that he had given me the wrong piercing. Instead of giving me a rook, I ended up getting a daith. I was given the option to keep the daith or to get it taken out and have the rook pierced. The piercer told me this was the first time that this had happened in his however many years and I was pretty understanding. I ended up choosing to get the daith taken out and the rook pierced since this is what I had gone for. They didn't make me pay for the piercing service since they had made a mistake on their end. After a few days I actually realized how big of a deal it was. While it happened everything was kind of downplayed, and I'm sure it was also a way to not freak me out, but I felt like it was downplayed too much since it is a pretty huge mistake to make when you really think about it. I called the store and told them this and ended up getting a full refund. It's been about a month and I realized that the piercing itself is actually crooked. The purpose of this review is more so as a note to others getting piercings to always request to see the placement of the pen mark for the piercing and to not be afraid to speak up when things feel off. read more

Is it bad I want to move back to Philadelphia just to be near this shop? When I was in college and going through my exploratory years, I'd ask classmates where they'd get their piercings done and the answer (unanimously) was always Infinite. So with great confidence, I got my nose pierced here and had my jewelry replaced dozens of times. The service is great and the selection offers just about anything cool you've seen online. I have had wonderful experiences at Infinite whenever I've come in. So far in the pandemic, I came to Infinite Body Piercing to get a double helix done. This was my first cartilage piercing and I felt a little nervous. From the counter people to the piercers, everyone here is very professional and welcoming. Be sure to make an appointment ahead of time! I think appointments are required even if you just want to browse and shop for new jewelry. There are strict COVID-19 cleaning measures in place. Everyone must wear masks and put on some hand sanitizer when you come in. The counter/display area is constantly disinfected after every person. No appointment, no entry. I want to give a special shout out to my piercer, Zach, for not only being very thorough about the process, but also the aftercare. Did not push me to buy any products and was clear on the pricing of things. Helped discuss the placement of the piercings with me when I explained that eventually I wanted to change the initial studs to rings in the future. The main thing is to make sure you're not only happy with the piercing, but keeping it clean. Also, when I had an emergency where one of piercings got ripped out (at 4 weeks post piercing) and the backing went down my sink drain, Infinite Body Piercing was very accommodating and let me come in to get it fixed. Although I've never lived in Philadelphia and needed to research the best piercing studios, I can say with confidence that Infinite Body Piercing lives up to its reviews! I came in for a septum (by appointment) and couldn't help but notice how nice the staff were, and the entire studio looked amazingly sanitary. I really appreciated the attention to COVID precautions in the studio! While looking at the available jewelry, I never felt pressured to pick any ring over another. Since this is the only piercing I've gotten besides my lobes I wasn't sure how painful the process would be, but it happened so fast in just the right spot (didn't even have time for watery eyes!). My piercer was lovely, and she explained everything step by step while making sure I was comfortable.
