Good new place for some beer and food. Been here twice now and I have encountered the same issue, which is they do not manage their bar seating. People skip 1-2 seats and people step away from the bar to go smoke. I have sat at 2 different spots that looked open and am told that "I think someone if sitting there. Very frustrating! I just decided to sit outside. Staff needs to manage that. Service was friendly and quick outside. read more

We went here for a happy hour after we had a dri tri at our gym. The place was very busy, service was very poor. Our table waited a minimum of 30 mins to have their drinks delivered. Would literally go to any of the other breweries before coming here again. The only way this place will stay open is if it steps up its service game, and caters to the parents who are taking their kids to the play center right next door. read more

Went to give this place a try last night, and it did not go well. We walked in, and everyone just turned around and looked at us (actually stared). Not many folks inside, but the small bar on the first floor was full (half the seats were actually empty, but apparently being held). The lighting seemed way too bright for a bar atmosphere, and it honestly did not seem like there was much activity. A smiling lady with reindeer antlers finally came out and said, "Hi, you can sit where you would like." My boyfriend prefers the bar to a table, so we paused, but then we saw the upstairs bar and asked if we could sit there, and were told yes. We walked upstairs, where a non-smiling bartender told us "Just so you know, I can serve you something now, but then I'll be going downstairs so there will be no one up here." Absolutely no charm, no hospitality, no warmth, so we turned around and left to go to another local place where our business was very much appreciated. Such a shame for a new place five minutes from home. Why even be open to offer such a poor experience to the local clientele? read more

The brewmaster came from House 6. He knows what he is doing. The beers are excellent. Nothing pretentious there - just good pure beer. The food is much finer quality than your typical brewpub. The items are small plate, but there is plenty to choose from and you get full. Try the tacos, wings, sliders and pretzel. I really enjoyed the beer. However the service was really bad. I awkwardly stood in front of the bar for about 10 minutes without any acknowledgement to suggest I might get service. As I was about to leave, I was asked my drink order and then told to find a seat outside and that a server would come to me. No one ever came. This was on a Thursday night at about 830 at night. I've heard good things about this place and will try again but my first impression was not great. read more

Amazing new spot! The ambiance is lovely. Highly recommend. Service needed some work. We waited 5m watching the bartenders welcome others and put away glassware. Then after asking how to order was told to wait and took another 5m. Odd experience for sure until another employee took notice and helped. Chalked it up to newness and possibly a bad day for someone. read more

Meh. Good beer, decent food. Overpriced. However, the main problem is that the staff cannot keep up with prime time Fri-Sun. We came here for the first time today and sat down at a table. Staff said to be seated and someone will be right with us. We ended up sitting and waiting for 25 mins (not exaggerating). Luckily we were in no rush, but made our way to the bar ourselves instead. This time, a waiter says he'll need to flag down a bartender and they're busy so it could take a few mins - fine no problem. The bartender ends up making his way down to us all frazzled, and we feel bad - we said we'll have 3 beers and no rush. We end up standing at the bar for another 10 mins until he realizes he forgot about us, and asks us to be seated so he can bring the beers to our table. This took ANOTHER 5-10 mins, for a total of 35 mins just waiting on a beer! At this stage, we said screw the food - we'll head somewhere else. The beers were good. Sucks, because we live right next to this place - it would be our weekly date night spot. read more

Nice facility....average beer...food wanting....service inconsistent..many breweries in loudoun and the brew here is just ok. I had Pilsner, not crisp, can get that pour at any tap. Also had the Amber...a bit better with it, but nothing i cant get on any bar tap. Food needs much help. Had wings with butter chicken sauce....it had an Indian taste but not good Indian, and the wings likely sat on the counter as they looked like leftovers and were cold. And the chicken egg rolls very dry, hard to put down 3 each....good quantity but greatly lacking in flavor, maybe some onions and peppers, and cilantro along with a decent pepper sauce. And the service....well, the good part, service was active and asked if we were pleased nany times...but tge details missed. Somextables had small plates,cotton napkins...bot our table, we ate off service plates...chef engaged with customers much...but torn, messy chef coat may not b best for customer engagement. Overall we were not very impressed. The beer was nothing special. The atmosphere is lousy. If you sit outside you watch and listen to noisy route 7 traffic. They must also allow smoking outside which is annoying. We don't plan to return. There are much better options locally to choose from. read more

I came across this wonderful place a few weeks ago and visited again today. Gerri is such an awesome host. Ashlyn made sure I always had water and Abbie helped out with the IPA selection. The deviled eggs were delicious as were the sliders and empanadas. The industrial crossed with jungle paradise vibes are an awesome sight, even better is they have plenty of TVs for all the games. This place has tons of promise! Cute place. Our server was amazing! Owner was making rounds. The beer list is small so I hope they get more soon! Sours and seltzers would be nice. We got the jerk chicken wings on our waitress' recommendation bc they were out of Thai. They were very spicy so beware! I made the mistake of not reading thru the deviled egg description - mint chutney is an interesting choice! Would not recommend those. Loved this place. Beer and food were great. Lot of choices for food and cocktails. Very unique compared to farm breweries in the area.

My family and I went to Route 7 Brewing for the first time on 5 April. First - kudos to our server Ashley. She was friendly, helpful, recommended food and drinks - she made our visit all that much better. Thank you, Ashley! Second - although the menu is a bit limited on selections, the great thing about it is that it has a number of shareable offerings. We ended up trying several and enjoyed passing them around so we all had a taste of various things. The hummus and yeeta bread was a tasty combination, with some nice spices on the spread. The pretzel and beer cheese were great. The spicy kick on the cheese really gave it a flavorful taste. Meatball sliders, chicken wings with honey-sriracha sauce, chili crunch shrimp, and pork bao buns all hit the protein spot, each bringing its respective sweet, spicy and filling flavor. One thing completely new and different was the Bombay Bhel - a combination of vegetables, chutney and spices - a delicious crunchy sweet and light spicy treat. Being an IPA fan, particularly West Coast style, I was a bit disappointed that they were out of a couple of beers I wanted to try. However, I found the Hoptimist IPA to be a pleasant brew - not overly hazy, which I am not fond of, and with sufficient hoppy dankness to please my palate. Finally, I did not get the name of the duo, man and woman, playing acoustic tunes, but they sounded good and nicely rounded out our evening.
