I have been coming to this diner for a LONG time. I'm 30 years old and still remember growing up coming to this diner as a kid. It has gone through a lot of changes over the years and recently I came here with my parents and boyfriend on a Saturday for lunch. It was busy (good thing)! Everyone was attended to from what I could see. Food was great, vibe was also great. Salad bar is delicious. I will always recommend this diner, never had a bad service here. Everyone is so friendly as well!

The food is diner food. Nothing exquisite. My husband got the wings. They are not seasoned only tossed in buffalo. The grilled chicken sandwich was also bland and he got steak and eggs. The American cheese was laid on top of the eggs and looked like plastic. I'm sure it was Kraft American singles. The onion rings were very tasty though. The waitress was nice. It was late night so the service was pretty quick. The restaurant looks very clean.

Folks this is a Diner, expect nothing more than Diner food done right at the right price with friendly local service!

Came to Reading for a wedding and decided to say an extra day. Then I found this fabulous gem! Huge portions, clean, and so reasonably priced. We forgot to take pictures before we ate but I think the empty plates say it all. Did I mention the salad and soup bar??

Came back for the late night menu and it was just as good! Highly recommend eating here!

Really good breakfast and friendly workers! The gyro with Greek salad and soup was spot on and at a fantastic price.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. We got menus right away. The service by Thea was attentive. The diner looks a bite runned down but clean. We ordered an appetizer immediately since it had been sometime waiting at the other place next door and we were famished! We got our drinks and appetizer of three dolmas on a bed of lettuce, tomatoes, feta, black olives, cucumbers. It was delicious! We ordered our entrees which to our surprise came with soup and salad bar! Everything at the salad bar was fresh, though small but had the basic toppings for a salad. I particularly loved the chicken orzo soup. My husband loved his Italian wedding. Neither were overly salted and the carrots in my soup tasted fresh as well as the potatoes (Not the canned type). Now here is the reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 4, my entre was roasted chicken with homemade stuffing. The chicken tasted of freezer burn, old, dry and the flavor was only in the skin. It came with a lemony gravy which I didn't care for. The homemade stuffing had a texture that was similar of when you vomit a sandwich. The side I chose was Mac n cheese and it was lukewarm so I had to ask Thea to heat it up really hot. I took the grated cheese from the salad bar and mixed it in added salt n pepper but it just still wasn't good. The "cheesy" cream tasted like flour sauce and the cheese I added wasn't a cheddar so it didn't add too much flavor. My husband ordered the T-bone steak with mash potatoes and coleslaw on the side. The slaw wasn't sweet so we did like but did have to add salt. The steak was typical diner steak, dry. The mash tasted like box flakes made with only water, no cream or butter flavor. Not creamy at all! I can only recommend the salad bar and soups! If I ever go back I'd try the burgers, they looked decent.

That Hollandaise! I…read morerecently visited Wyomissing Restaurant and Bakery with two companions, and we had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is a bit more upscale than your average diner--everything was impeccably clean, and the ambiance was very pleasant. My friends both opted for the "All You Can Eat Buffet," which I understand is what this place is famous for (especially on weekends!). Their plates were packed, and the fact that they both went back for seconds speaks for itself--they loved it. I went with the Norway Benedict, and I was honestly blown away. It featured two perfectly poached eggs and smoked salmon on English muffins with a very generous serving of Hollandaise sauce, accompanied by a side of home-fried potatoes. The presentation was beautiful, the taste was excellent, and I truly can't think of a single thing that would have improved the dish. Service Highlights: * Attentive Staff: Our server was great--present when we needed drink refills but never intrusive. * Efficiency: They were quick to clear empty plates rather than letting them sit on the table, which we really appreciated. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Located a bit out of the way in the Flying Hills golf course, but worth the drive. Sports bar- Eagles vibe w/ a decent draft list. The kegs weren't working (seems to happen at every bar we attend these days) but still enjoyed a Mike & Merrill Philly Hazy IPA. Wings a good size, crisp, you know, the way wings used to be before everyone started charging an arm & a leg & serving broken pigeon wings. Classic "Buffalo" sauce & blue cheese dressing were good. FINALLY tried famous Caramel Burger (which I missed several times at the Hamburger festival). It did not disappoint. Good size, flavorful patty, & what these people do best- the bacon jam & caramelized bacon. The sweetness of the onions sings thru. Order it! Husband ordered seasonal special Frikadellen/Bratwurst Smash Burger. Skipping right to it- the cottage fries. (Gracie's/Louie's if you had this all the time we'd have no beef! LOL) INCREDIBLE! Crisp, thin, tender, amazing. If you follow me you know I am over the frozen fries served at every eatery in this country. Finally, amazingly pleasant, genuinely happy, server- Reese. She was on my side throughout this whole foodie journey, even the beer & burger mishap (initially burger served w/o cheese sauce). She's a keeper! We'll be back & will spread the word! Till then, stay on your toes! Thank you Louie's for a great meal.

My family has patronized this diner for decades -- my aunt and uncle had their wedding reception in…read moretheir event room nearly 60 years ago -- and we've eaten here a few times per year when we find ourselves in the area at mealtime. It's usually OK, typical diner fare, but today was a low point. It's a classic stainless steel diner, boasts a nice salad bar, and is clean and bright inside. Fixed booths, but plenty of tables available as well. We stopped by for breakfast just before noon today (they serve it all day like many diners) and it really fell short. how it began should have been our first clue -- we stood and waited a while for the manager to come out from the back and seat us. The waitress was quick to come and take our order though, and we ordered two standard breakfast choices -- nothing obscure or complicated. Nearly 30 minutes later we finally got our food. I don't know if it was missing one particular last piece, but I could tell parts of it were sitting under the heat lamps for quite some time. My scrambled eggs were hard and dry on top, and most of the food could be described as warm at best -- none of it "hot" or "fresh". The toast was barely toasted -- soft and not browned except on the very edges. Pancakes so cold, even the soft whipped butter did not melt, even in between two of them. When it was time to leave, there was a line of 4-5 others, because the same manager had disappeared again and I guess no one else could ring people out or something. We let him know about our bad experience when we left, and he said we should have said something when the food came out. Well, it's not like waitresses stand there while you eat and make sure everything is fine. And I wasn't about to complain and wait another 30 minutes for a re-do.

I understand what your job involves, but standing over customers & demanding them to order something so you can leave & get tip doesn't fly. The interior of restaurant was just ok, the bench's for booths in rear of restaurant were missing. Very gloomy atmosphere. The soup yankee bean was the best part of my whole meal. Which for the amount that was ordered should've been on point. Items ordered: Yankee bean soup, steamed carrots & fish n chips Wife got salad, buttered corn & fish n chips We also got potato skins & chicken tenders (appetizer) Wouldn't you guess it they would serve everything all together. I'm so glad that I didn't indulge myself & eat the fish, I am one of the few people allergic to Tilapia. As an ex Chef I know the basics for fish n chips is 95% of the time cod. (Nothing was stated on the menu) I ate the fries which were obviously fried together, already had the lovely feeling of throat swelling up. I let wife take care of things due to myself thinking it was just my stress from work (go outside for fresh air) Wife than calls me back into restaurant with fish in hand(and owner had not known what fish was used for this item on the menu) I was floored! How do you not know your menu from front to back. He later told us it was Tilapia & he still wanted compensation for us getting the fish. The establishment used to be on my ok list, this restaurant is now worse than Pizza Hut. No point in sharing photos it wasn't a pleasant experience. Kudos to the owner for being an out right Dick!
