A great grocery store to shop if you're looking for a great selection. There is a hot bar and salad bar available as well. Great beer selection as well. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. The store is clean, well maintained, and stocked. My go to when Walmart just won't cut it. read more

This is a great location of Rouses Supermarket and is in Gulfport, Mississippi. It has a great overall ambiance and the service here is extremely friendly and professional. I really like that they have an emphasis on local food and I buy a lot of stuff that I can't get in Orlando, Florida. I would definitely recommend here. read more

Well I love Rouses. I had to call with a question and typically when an associate answers the phone in most grocery stores, if they ever do, you get a " hurry up I'm busy " attitude. However, the young man who answered the phone, answered all my questions and even had too check to get an answer for me. He gave me all the information exactly as I needed and then when I said thanks, he said oh you are so welcome and you have a BLESSED DAY! Wow if every store could train their associates to be so super, we would have a better planet. Love their Ribs and steaks. Please build one near Hwy 49 & Hwy 53 we need a Rouses! read more

This store is awesome. We stopped in for beer but were impressed with all of the ready made foods and options to go. Picked up a king cake and Cajun green beans. Everyone was very friendly too. read more

I love Rouses. They have such a local flair. Their seafood market is great. And it's the only place I can find decent short ribs for hubby. But, I would go there just for the lace cookies! read more

This is such an enjoyable place to shop. The store is very clean and well lit, and items are easy to find. The employees are friendly and helpful. I buy all of my meat and seafood here. Rouses has great sales, an incredible selection and great quality. The market also has a wonderful selection of local products. During crawfish season, Rouses has boiled crawfish available at the front of the store on weekends. It's delicious and some of my favorite crawfish in the area. read more

I live in a part of Mississippi that only has WalMart & Kroger both of which are very dated in what they offer. Going into Rouses was like going to a food Disneyland. High quality meats, good fresh produce & many specialty items are available. I cannot eat crab cakes but are my wife's favorite; she couldn't believe they had come from a grocery store seafood counter! Very little cake and a whole lot of crab especially at 2/$5.00. We've also enjoyed Rouses small King Cakes: so many varieties. Delicious! The prices are a tad high but it's hard to tell because EVERYTHING has gone up so much this month. They have a very nice hot food bar & deli as well as a great salad bar. Rouses is what all grocery stores should be. read more

Love this grocery store for so many reasons. Lots of local products, organic options and the meats are always on sale. As much as I love Rouses I tried my luck and ordered a cake. I asked for a two tier frozen swirl cake with drip icing. I don't know what this is but it's not drip icing but the color was on point. read more

Rouses Market - Don't order a custom cake here. Price is great but it's so bad. - Grocery Near Me - Gulfport, Mississippi

What's up with the produce? Had to walk out, cucumbers, every one of them nasty. Why display it if you won't eat it?

The food was horrible! The food was dry and hard and has been sitting out for a while. No fresh food is ever put out you have to eat what's been there for hours. read more

Rouse's on the Gulf Coast! It is no secret that I love the Rouse's chain of grocery store. Ever since I first set foot in their Houma location, I have been smitten with their version of a supermarket. Rouse's has two types of stores. There are purpose built Rouse's and stores that were originally some other chain before the expansion. This store is an example of the latter, and I think those stores are not as amazing as the purpose built stores, but they are still pretty darn cool. I've visited this location on several different occasions and it has served me well. My first visit was on a long weekend in Gulfport when I needed to stock up on foodstuffs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was the selection very similar to home, but the service was equally great. This is a full service store with all of the items you would need regardless if you're a full time resident or a weekend visitor. Other occasions have been much different reasons. The first was that I was driving around one day and needed a bathroom. Their's was clean and convenient. The other reason was the need of some beach toys for my kids to build a castle, moat and other various sand related buildings. Since this store is close to the beach, it was stocked with a god variety of beachy things. In summary, this store is pretty great no matter what you're looking for. read more

Who doesn't love Rouse Market? They started out in New Orleans. They have a deli selection that is awesome also with a huge selection of cheese. You can also preorder and pickup cooked dinners here. The seafood department has fresh selections to choose from. The bakery is pretty darn good as they offer freshly baked whole cakes and breads. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the store is more pricey than others in the area. But for the speciality items it's worth it. read more

Let me start by saying me and my family are due hard Rouse fans. So we were elated when we found out there was one to be had in biloxi. We pulled up to this guy One late night as a dash to grab a few essentials. I hopped out rouse bag already en tow. Everything was very clean and neat. The people around were very nice. Even though I'm sure they were super close to closing. They allowed us and a few late night stragglers to grab our items without pestering us. Got some ready made food from the deli, breakfast staples and I even found an amazing bone for our corgi. Wound up being some of the vest food we had in Biloxi. First stop on next trip. read more

Where do I begin. Stopped here to pick up a few necessities for our room at hotel water and some snacks while on vacation. While perusing the beer selection and they have several to choose from we noticed they had shrimp on sale for 6.99 a pound. Biggest shrimp I have ever seen from the gulf. The girl behind the counter said she could steam Them for us with our choice of seasoning. She also recommended a sauce that the locals dip shrimp in. They were AWSOME. Cooked to perfection and the sauce which is not the typical ketchup and horseradish type was excellent. For the dill pickle lover, We also found dill pickle pretzel from a local snack company they too were amazing read more

Love going here for the snacks. They have vegetable chips, some sort of firehouse (Chex-ish)-mix, chocolate-covered almonds, and lots of other things. The interesting selection of cold and hot to-go items are fun to try. They also have some local beers and just a better selection than other grocery stores. I mostly wanted to comment on their sushi bar, which I know I shouldn't have such high expectations considering a plethora of factors. It's pretty bad. Their tuna and salmon are not "sushi-grade." They both have a slight fishy taste. I'm not sure if there are different people cutting the fish, but the one time I got a pre-made, salmon nigiri tray they had filleted the fish incorrectly and left a piece of bone in each piece. Luckily the pieces were probably 3 millimeters long, so nothing that could get stuck in your throat. I also tried the poke bowl and, weirdly enough, they skimp on the vegetables. Other than that the place is clean. They have a sanitization... station in the... vestibule with hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes. Always plenty of check-out lanes open. Exiting the parking lot is a death trap if you want to go eastbound on Pass Road or southbound on Cowan Road though. The two entrances/exits to the parking lot on Pass Road are pretty narrow and the one on Cowan Road is pretty close to the intersection when people usually speed through it. read more

As always, cashier and attendants were knowledgeable and pleasantly attentive. Highly recommend this wonderful store in Gulfport, Mississippi! read more

Decent market with a slightly higher end feel than Winn Dixie. I'm still not sure what the difference is though...Oh yeah, they have my Greek yogurt that Winn Dixie doesn't. They do sell some different organic items that Winn Dixie doesn't, including cheese and lunch meat. I'd say their protein bar selection and gluten free section is just a teeny tiny bit better here...I think. read more

I do not recommend this grocery store I only go there because it is geographically convenient. The only positive thing about the store is that the employees are cordial and the management is quite excellent. The food they prepare for sale is inferior. read more

I understand business doing their best since COVID however what i cant understand is how STAFF IS WALKING AROUND SMELLING LIKE WEED!!!!!! Laughing and PLAYING around the store! DEALING WITH FOOD WITHOUT WASHING THEIR HANDS! Oooor wiping down the bar with a dish towel and the towel dipping into each of the hot bar trays!!!! Despicable display of customer service. read more

Great grocery store that has an overall decent selection. Beautiful selection of flower arrangements in the floral section. Great customer service being my first time and not knowing where things were located in the store. Unfortunately, the fresh salmon and shrimp I purchased in the seafood section turned sour/rancid after being in the fridge for only one day. Very disappointed and wasted over $30 worth in seafood. Limited selection in fresh deli meat and cheese for charcuterie board. Produce section didn't even have limes and the lemons were old, some with mold spots. read more

I was kind of disappointed in this Rouse's. I've been to others that are much better. The prices are higher than other grocery stores in the area and their selection isn't any better. The only thing I like here is a brand of kombucha (cherry flavour, from Colorado) that they carry. read more

The bad - their prices are high, but it's kind of a specialty store. The good- they have all kinds of great items that you don't see at Winn-Dixie or Publix. Their fried catfish is to die for - also their ribs are delicious. I like their 7up cake. You will do damage to your bank account but sometimes you have to splurge. They are working with Shipt and other delivery places now so you can get stuff brought to your door. read more

The new Rouses in Gulfport opened like a week ago. I stopped by to get a salad for lunch. I was amazed by all of the hot bar options!! You could build your own sandwich, get a plate of food with sooo many choices, etc. I ended up just getting a salad from the salad bar bc I didn't have time to browse. I wish they offered a lower fat ranch option though. I'll definitely be back to try out other things! read more

I was in the area and noticed that there was a Rouse's nearby and my wife & I needed to grab a birthday cake for our brother. I've been to a few Rouse's before and I must say, it was a very nice open Rouse's. As with groceries, they offer a huge amounts of variety. This place will always be on the top grocery stores. I love my local Rouses. They carry lots of local produce and seafood. Tons of local products. There is always something I need on sale. They've got plenty of easy parking. There's less chance of frustrating parking lot fender benders! (LOL) Rouses is a local, regional business itself. Don't let the national chain retailers crowd them out. read more

Caution!! My mother-in-law had her wallet stolen while shopping in the aisles. Go here often. But I won't be anymore. Just got home to cook dinner pork chops reeked!! Smelled horrible and were not good! Can't believe this, and also a salad I bought was also no good. Lettuce was old and nasty and wet. Super disappointed. Time to find a new place to grocery shop read more

Dropped 1/2 star because they stopped carrying Full Circle Organic butter, and another half because they only have farmed salmon (Sam's Club has wild salmon at least). Other than that this place is in a good location and they have a good produce and organic section. The folks in the meat department are really nice and friendly too. When they were out of the made-in-store mild Italian sausage I love so much (fraction of the price of the premade, with no HFCS or MSG!) they kindly offered to whip up a fresh batch available tomorrow. When I returned the following day the butcher was just finishing setting them out. Yay! To be honest I have not had that level of service outside of a Fred Meyer's, PCC, or Whole Foods. They used to have a female sushi chef that made some of the best sushi I've been able to find in the area, but I've been informed by the other chefs there she's relocated. :'( Sad day. The worst part is the prices. On the one hand, I had been shopping exclusively at the commissary for the last two years, so I could just be getting a reality check... but dang, I don't even remember QFC (short for Quite F'ing Costly) back home in Washington to be this expensive. Perceptive readers may notice I mentioned the organic/produce/meat sections and buy there -- yes, organic stuff is always going to be pricey, but I don't recall asparagus or cauliflower ever shooting up to the $5-6 dollar range. Oh well -- they probably have to compete against Wal-Mart. But any self-respecting person would do better to splurge a few extra dollars on something guaranteed fresh... you have no idea how many times I've seen food already rotten on the shelves of the cheaper competition. read more

I know I know, grocery stores are grocery stores. Normally I would agree, but Rouses is different. I shop often as I live nearby and I like to go and pick up fresh ingredients for what ever my wife and I want for supper that night. Rouses has a tremendous selection of fresh produce and at times we just go to the in store salad bar and have that for supper, or maybe some of the fresh boiled shrimp, or crabs or fresh bar b q... You get the idea. The people who work there are all very polite and helpful. I have never met a single employee who wasn't asking to help me. I enjoy shopping there and I hope to see you there one day. I am happy Rouses is part of my neighborhood. read more

This past Thanksgiving I was too lazy to cook but still wanted to enjoy the Holiday meal. So I called up my local Rouse and ordered their Baked Turkey (**** stars) with all the trimming. I placed the order on Tuesday and it was ready for pick up on Thursday at 4:00pm. Their cornbread dressing (****stars) was pretty good and I added a Spiral Ham (**** stars) for $29.00 more. But what I really enjoy about this market, is the quality of their produce and products. Everything seems to have a local flavor, so I was not surprised to find Cajun meats. The "Bayou Boys" (their butchers) are always on hand to give you preparation tips and local recipes. I just found out they prepare a turduchen and will be picking it up for some pre Christmas eating!!! Its the next best thing to not having a Whole Foods in the area... read more

What can you say, being a person that has lived and traveled every where - I wish they had a Rouse's in my city of Jackson, MS! The creaole/cajun ingredients and products they offer are excellent for good ol' southern home cooking, whether its for that Monday classic Red Beans and Rice or if you want some market fresh smoked sausage. Whether I'm in New Orleans or in Gulfport, I always make sure I stop at Rouse's and pick up cooler full of their market fresh sausage. They offer cajun, green onion stuffed, sweet italian, Manda hot sasuage for po'boy sam'ichs. They have stuffed turkey breasts, turduckens, pre-seasonsed chicken halves - man the list goes on and on and on! I love Rouse's read more

I am not sure if this is for the recently renovated Rouse's but I like this grocery store a lot. It's very clean. Produce is very pricey but fresh. Great seafood selection and amazing bakery. I much prefer to shop here than Walmart Grocery or Winn Dixie. The folks are very friendly and it shows. It is hit and miss at other grocery stores. Some days you might get a cashier that speaks. Other days, they look like they dont like their jobs. It's not ever like this when I have shopped at Rouse's. The building changed but the friendliness has not. Keep up the good work!! My only complaint is the Mongolian Grill place. The food is not tasty. Could use some improvement there. To others, it may be good, but it's definitely lacking flavors. read more

I walked in the store wanting some hot bar food and as I stood there for 15min NO ONE helped me. Then after asking the worker cleaning the hot bar I noticed she was getting cross contamination in all the food by not properly cleaning around the food trays the way she should. Waste of a new building. Have been repeatedly lied to about their dry aged steaks. After the 4th lie, they decide to inform me I could prepurchase them. Little too late there.
