Don't order a custom cake here. Price is great but it's so bad.

Love this grocery store for so many reasons. Lots of local products, organic options and the meats are always on sale. As much as I love Rouses I tried my luck and ordered a cake. I asked for a two tier frozen swirl cake with drip icing. I don't know what this is but it's not drip icing but the color was on point.

The food was horrible! The food was dry and hard and has been sitting out for a while. No fresh food is ever put out you have to eat what's been there for hours.

The food was horrible! The food was dry and hard and has been sitting out for a while. No fresh food is ever put out. You have to get what's on the food bar until it's gone. Even there breakfast is horrible.

Who doesn't love Rouse Market? They started out in New Orleans. They have a deli selection that is awesome also with a huge selection of cheese. You can also preorder and pickup cooked dinners here. The seafood department has fresh selections to choose from. The bakery is pretty darn good as they offer freshly baked whole cakes and breads. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the store is more pricey than others in the area. But for the speciality items it's worth it.

Decent market with a slightly higher end feel than Winn Dixie. I'm still not sure what the difference is though...Oh yeah, they have my Greek yogurt that Winn Dixie doesn't. They do sell some different organic items that Winn Dixie doesn't, including cheese and lunch meat. I'd say their protein bar selection and gluten free section is just a teeny tiny bit better here...I think.

What's up with the produce? Had to walk out, cucumbers, every one of them nasty. Why display it if you won't eat it?

Certain items are pricy but that didn't stop me from purchasing their fresh seafood! Very local feel from this grocery store.

I was in the area and noticed that there was a Rouse's nearby and my wife & I needed to grab a birthday cake for our brother.

When you walk in the front door, to the left you'll see some coolers with things like prepared potatoes, head cheese, and various meats. If you are lucky, they'll have some meatloaf ready and it's some of the best I have ever had. All require you to take them home to cook. Along the back wall is the steak selection and they have some great choices, including filet, NY strips, ribeye, pinwheels, and more. Prices vary and are slightly more than what you might find at a local grocery store, but in my opinion the cuts are superior. They recently started a lunch service where they cook up some of their own meats. They also have daily specials for around $12. The brisket was amazing and had a thick crunchy bark that I loved. They also make their own potato chips in beef tallow and they're really good, plus they have other dishes like roast, pork, and so on. I highly recommend it and the service is very quick.

While I applaud Winn Dixie for updating their local stores and bringing in more goods, there are…read morealways a couple of things that could use more attention. A recent visit demonstrated two of those. The first was, when ordering sliced deli meat in store, the counter person put the print out label on the bag so that it covered the zippered opening. When I got home and tried to open it, I couldn't remove the label and the bag tore. No big deal except they use a bag size other than consumer purchased Ziploc bags. The second was when I was checking out. There was a person, bagging, groceries and, even though I had grouped my items as I would like them bagged (cold items, dry goods, fragile) the person, bagging the groceries, threw them in the bag with no regard for what their condition might be when I got home. Lastly, I tried several times to call the store about these things, however, no one at this particular store location seems to understand how to answer a phone. Each time I called, and there were several calls, the selection for customer, service, or a store manager went unanswered. I typically shop another Winn Dixie location, which I have never had these kinds of problems with. I will make a point of avoiding Orange Grove Winn Dixie.
