A recent visit demonstrated two of those. The first was, when ordering sliced deli meat in store, the counter person put the print out label on the bag so that it covered the zippered opening. When I got home and tried to open it, I couldn't remove the label and the bag tore. No big deal except they use a bag size other than consumer purchased Ziploc bags. The second was when I was checking out. There was a person, bagging, groceries and, even though I had grouped my items as I would like them bagged (cold items, dry goods, fragile) the person, bagging the groceries, threw them in the bag with no regard for what their condition might be when I got home. Lastly, I tried several times to call the store about these things, however, no one at this particular store location seems to understand how to answer a phone. Each time I called, and there were several calls, the selection for customer, service, or a store manager went unanswered. I typically shop another Winn Dixie location, which I have never had these kinds of problems with. I will make a point of avoiding Orange Grove Winn Dixie.

You also will have to wait up to 45-60 minutes to get it, as the lines can get long. Calling in your order before you leave to go get it is a great idea and will eliminate the long wait in the store. We have also purchased chicken on other days of the week. Then, your luck might not be so good. Purchasing it on a Friday, we ended up with chicken that had been left under the heat lamps a LONG time. It was dried out and far from delicious. Our dogs appreciated it, since they got a lot of "chicken jerky" but the humans in the family were less-than-impressed. Unless you are calling in a large chicken order, other days of the week would be very risky, I'm afraid. As for their other items, we have purchased fresh meat from the store, and the only thing I have noticed is that it needs to be cooked or frozen soon after purchase, as it does not seem to keep as long. That's okay, as long as you are aware that it needs to be used soon. I have never purchased anything that was spoiled or out-of-date.
