I love this place. This restaurant is an owner operated mom & pop. They are serving extremely delicious food that I'm already craving again. I had the house salad which was scrumptious and the muffuletta sandwich and fries. Very tasty. One of the owners was my server and he recommend a unique drink; Dr. Pepper cream soda which was very tasty as well. They have a front and back patio which are well laid out. And I understand they have movie nights in the back patio. I had to do an online meeting while I was there, and they were very gracious. And their wifi was sturdy. I will be back. read more

Gord and I had an early supper at Round the Horn yesterday. We both had a warm pretzel with a cheese dip. There were a few hotdog choices and I had a Missionary Hotdog ("A hotdog in a bun. Figure it out."). Gord had a Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich with kettle chips (Montreal Smoked Meat + Mustard + Rye). All were very good. Round the Horn is a great lil bar. Their back patio, one of my favourite things about this bar, is semi-shaded and tucked away from the main Roncey strip. They have a good beer selection. They offer pub food and hotdogs, excellent for snacking. Before COVID, they had arcade games and a Super Nintendo inside -- amazing. We recently went now that patios are reopened. Now, there were hand sanitizing stations and signs encouraging customer hand sanitizing in several spots inside. Staff, always lovely, were wearing masks. You scan a QR code to access a contactless menu. Considering we're in the midst of a pandemic I felt comfortable and safe there. Definitely stop in and support these folks if you want some awesome patio drinks this summer. read more

Was going to go with 4 stars but you know what, the unexpected experience we had her is deserving of 5 full stars. We were out for a walk on Canada day and were looking for a place with a patio to have a drink or too, as we walked down Roncy a glint of light caught my eye through the open doors of Round the Horn and I got a sense that this little bar had a garden patio in the back. We walked over to inspect and low and behold my guess was right! A cozy little spots with tons of seating amifst big shady trees and a nice private fence. It felt like we were in someone's backyard having long weekend beers (which I guess we kinda were). They had a great wine list but also ample beer selection in both conventional and craft varieties. We all got something we loved. We were hungry shortly thereafter and were a bit surprised to see that despite pub staples like nachos and burgers their menu was dominated by... hot dogs! Hot dogs in every possible topping combination from german oktoberfest bratwust to coney island dogs and everything in between - and CHEAP! I started with a fresh house made baked pretzel with mustard, wow!!! Incredible! Then went with two classic Coney Dogs (with cheese and chilli) and I felt like I was at a ballpark in America taking in a baseball game, I mean pretzels, hot dogs and beer - all for fair prices?!?! Beautiful space (especially that back patio!), fantastic service, fun menu. Round the Horn is the best patio and experience on Roncesvalles. Kristen and Dave and co. serve up great food (hot dogs like you've never had!), play the sports on tv (inside and out!), and offer friendly, expert service. Never a complaint when I come here. Delicious snacks, great beer and the staff are always ready to chat, give their recommendations of drinks and what's new to pour. The hot dogs are deliciously seasoned, just like you'd expect at a ball game or an event! Restroom on the main floor makes returning to your table/group that much easier, as well as the option of pinball or snes/nes in the back if you're feeling competitive! I like the atmosphere, beer selection, and pinball games. However I feel that ROH likes to say it's a sports bar but they would rather crank up the music and play nught club. Don't advertise Monday Night Football on your sandwich board if your staff is going to give you attitude when you ask them to turn down the music and turn up the play by play. read more

The staff are great and fun and add to the overall super vibe of the place. Everyone loves the hotdogs and now there are beautiful and delicious additions to the menu that cater to those who aren't fans of the popular hotdog!! If you're looking for a comfortable spot to watch the game -- this is your bar! Several large television are spaced throughout the bar. The regular fare of hotdogs, pretzels, popcorn, etc. is reminiscent of a ballpark. Every weekend they have a wonderful rotating menu. The chef is excellent -- I've enjoyed every meal. The patio is fantastic in the spring, summer and fall! It's a great place to grab a pint on a nice day. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have a great selection of beer. read more

The service is horrible, food is awful after the fact, and apparently it looks bad if your dog is outside while you watch over her sitting at the patio windows. Manager asks me to leave because doesnt like dogs locked up outside. Meanwhile people are enjoying my bully and having fun with her. People even wondered why I was asked to leave. Totally bad excuse for a bar on roncesvalles. Round the horn should be called "horn up their asses". Lol. Went over the the dizzy instead where they like dogs. This was my first visit to this place and probably not the best time (1.30am) considering the staff want to shut at 2 and are not in the best state of mind to service customers. I had gone along with two of my friends to this pub (one of them was celebrating his birthday). Upon being asked to produce ID, two of us produced the Ontario photo card and the third was not drinking so he didn't show his ID. We were denied service and I was told that I don't look like I was born in 1987. I even produced my York ID as I am an MBA student from the Schulich School of Business. I understand we are from India and probably don't look as 'matured' as some here would consider. However, the staff should seriously learn to size up customers before making such decisions. I have been in Toronto since the past 8 months and have NEVER been denied service (especially after being asked for an ID proof). I will never come back to this place or recommend it to anybody in my network. And you may think that it's not a big network but you have no idea. I do hope the management learns to hire better staff in future. read more

A fantastic beer bar with cheap and delicious eats. It's a welcoming and safe space for all humans staffed by patient cool and fun folks. A great spot for sports fans, music lovers and craft beer enthusiasts (and any combination thereof and beyond!!) Woman-owned and very carefully staffed by some of the most considerate ppl behind the wood you'll find anywhere. I'm a lady who has been coming here solo almost daily for nearly two years. The only thing not tolerated at this bar is disruptively belligerent behaviour (thank goodness!) This is one of my favourite neighbourhood bars in any neighbourhood I've ever been. Plus it low-key boasts one of the prettiest hideaway patios in the west end. Get some chips and cheese and a frosty pint and hang. read more

I like this place! This place has such a great patio, which I plan to make good use of this summer. I live right around the corner and went were often when it was a restaurant. The service was terrible at the previous restaurant and I'm happy to report that all of the staff I've interacted with at Round the Horn have been super friendly. I will say that you do need to know what this place is about - beer and hot dogs. The menu is tiny and basic - but that works for me. We went for beer and hot dogs and therefore were super pleased. Have been to this location in its previous incarnations as gourmet restaurants. So we decided to pop in and see what the new place was all about. The place is beautiful, interior appropriate for a high-end restaurant, and they have the most fantastic patio in the city. The new owners just added a whole bunch of TVs and decided to go with a sports bar theme. Good list of draft and bottled beers. However, this is not the place to go for food. They only make two things - bad nachos and good hot dogs. The waitress says they're going for a "ballpark" feeling. However this simply doesn't match the decor or location. Personally, I find the hotdogs and nachos at the ballpark are usually pretty blah but you eat them because you're there. I definitely wouldn't choose to eat nachos and a hotdog on a regular night. I like going to sports bars sometime, but knowing the history of this place the kitchen is fully functional and there's no reason they can't have a decent menu. I mean really, a sports bar where you can't get a burger and fries? No wings? What's the point? If you want to pub with big tv's, great beer AND great food there are plenty on the Roncesvalles strip. If you just want tv and beer RTH is fine. read more

Just what the village needed. Proper bar with clean, welcoming atmosphere and staff. A simple and fun place to grab a pint or glass of wine and catch the game - food is reminiscent of what you'd get at the stadium which adds to the atmosphere when the sound of the broadcast is piped over the speakers. Hotdogs, nachos (with classic stadium hot processed cheese) and popcorn. Don't expect fancy fair. And if the game goes south you can always hit some Super Nintendo or pinball at the back. read more

My husband and I walked in hoping to watch a Jays game and enjoy a good beer....and that's exactly what we got. The beer list is extensive with a variety of local craft options. My husband and I checked out this place a few months ago and had a great afternoon. Staff are friendly, we even got to speak with the owner and she happily answered all our questions about the place. The pinball machine is a nice touch, as is the washrooms on the main floor. The patio looks amazing, but it was cold when we were there. The wide selection of local craft beers was a hit with us. Went to Round the Horn and was looking forward to the hot dog and baseball/sports themed bar I had read about. The bar itself was fairly nice and thought it was cool that they had a Super Nintendo set up in the back but overall my experience wasn't very good. I thought the quality of the food was fairly poor overall - the chips they use for their nachos are of the same quality you'd find in a bag at the dollar store or at the movie theatre (low quality pre-packaged). I ordered the Coney Island hot dog and wasn't too impressed by the quality of the chili nor the cheese sauce (low quality and artificial tasting) .. The food seemed very low quality and was pretty gross (also, I think I paid $7 for that gross hot dog). I'm also not sure how I felt about the pricing on the $7 tall cans. Overall I got the impression that it was a decent bar with decent beer selection and bad food. A very "meh" experience, would not return. read more
