If you saw viral videos of this, and thought, "Oh man that looks fun."…read more Bingo. But you don't know that half of it. We went when my nephew was in town for Spring Break. I've been DYING to go back ever sense. I don't think I can even explain to you how addictive and all consuming the joy of playing these games are. Bonus, it's for sure a work out. If I lived closer I would would be at this joint two or three times a week, and in the best shape of my life. The games are all fast paced and high energy, but does it feel like a workout? Not at all, until you realize when you are so SHWEATY. It's like burst sprints mixed with body weights and maybe some yoga? I just know that I loved it in a way that I haven't loved physical activity since I was in my teens. The staff was all super friendly too. The perfect kind of friendly as well. Polite, informative, but not all fake high energy/chatty like your at a kids camp. It was nothing but good vibes. It was fairly busy when we went, which means we had to cycle through rooms pretty fast, but there are so many rooms! You can always go back for your favorites again later, and some of the ones that "looked" boring were actually the most fun for me. I was practically BEGGING them to give me a membership, but they don't do those... Yet? There was some discussion of some locations offering memberships as a trial run, and that it might become a thing nationwide. *fingers crossed* GO!

We be all up in Activate letting our inner kid out. It is a little pricey per person, but I'd say it's worth it. I would suggest booking online before going, but it's not a requirement, you may just have to wait a little if the time slots are unavailable.

To the Director and Board: A good amount of money was spent to buy tickets to Verdi's Requiem. I, a…read more76 year old native Austinite arrived at the Long Center about 20 minutes early (at the entrance to the parking garage). The next 15 minutes were spent looking for a parking place in the garage. I ended up parking at the very top and taking the elevator down. There were several other older ladies as well there who don't quite move quickly. By the time we walked to the door of the Long Center it was 3 minutes after the start of a 90-minute opera. I raced to get to my seat but was escorted to the upper balcony. As I entered there was a lady bandaging her leg on the stairs. From falling there. When I got to the upper balcony it was pitch dark and the helper had a flashlight that didn't work. It took me a while for my eyes to adjust and finally was able to be seated, slightly short of breath from the race and the altitude of those seats. Other nicely dressed older ladies came in after me and stumbled around to find seats. We were informed we would have to sit there for the duration as there was no intermission for a 90 minute performance. Why? I ask you why? Along with a canteen of water, a flashlight and a first aid kit do I need to bring a catheter to the Opera? This is ridiculous. I am pretty ticked off and will not attend again until something is done to remedy the deeply flawed, user-unfriendly experience I had. Navigating in the dark for a 76-year-old is not something that is a healthy activity. You do realize a lot of your audience are seniors, don't you? You do realize that you all probably go to the valet or VIP parking I passed at the one minute marker entrance to the parking lot and then go to your box seats? You're not experiencing what other people are experiencing and I'm afraid you've lost track. I hope you will do something to remedy.

Dance With Me Austin caught our attention because they offer dance lessons for wheelchair users…read more They're located inside The Domain, and when we arrived, the first thing I noticed was the wall of glass windows. You can see everything from the outside, and I'll be honest, I felt a little awkward knowing people could watch us. Once inside, I noticed several couples dancing with different instructors and had a moment of nervousness, wondering if there would be enough space for us. Then we met our instructor, Johnny, and all of that disappeared. He is an absolute delight. From the start, he made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely at ease. I quickly forgot about the windows and the other dancers. We had plenty of room, and that's entirely thanks to how Johnny guided the lesson. Even though we were doing a shorter intro session, he managed to teach us all the basics to the song we chose. Somehow, it felt incredibly intimate and personal, even in such a large, open space. We had so much fun that we've decided to continue our lessons. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for an inclusive, welcoming place with truly wonderful instructors.

The instructors are beyond talented, but what makes them so special is their kindness, patience, and the way they believe in you even when you doubt yourself. They meet you where you are, and then somehow bring out the very best in you every single time. Over the course of my journey here, I've not only learned how to dance with more skill and grace, but I've also found a community filled with joy, encouragement, and laughter. Every lesson feels like a celebration, and I always leave lighter and happier than when I came in. Dance With Me isn't just a studio it's a place where confidence, artistry, and friendships grow. I'm forever grateful for the love, passion, and family I've found here
