Rotolo's is great. My wife and I have been here several times now. Our favorite pizza is the Big Apple with whipped ricotta. We tried the hot wings on our last visit and they were delicious. They are doing $1 off pints on Astros game night for the month of October. There are plenty of seats and televisions. The service and staff are very kind and accommodating. The only critique I have is the last few times we have visited I have tried to order the peach bellini and the machine hasn't been working. Other than that, this place is great. read more

Finally decided to try Rotolo's pizza and their truffle fries last night. When I arrived to pick up my order, I waited an additional 25 minutes for the fries, a very poor pizza presentation, and to top it off, the pizza was cold. I asked to speak with a manager who honestly didn't seem to care too much about making things right. Rotolo's is a Louisiana-based chain with a new location here in Spring. We went to try them out on a busy Saturday night. Lots of cars in the lot but the place is large inside and we were seated right away. We went with the brussels sprouts appetizer, The Krewe cheese sticks, a Meat Feast calzone, and a root beer float to finish. There have been some mixed reviews on the service, so I'll say up front that our service was great. They did not bring water out to start, and some people complain about that, but I don't think that's so unusual and is not noticeable if you're started quickly, which we were. The food was more of a mixed bag. The Brussels sprouts are cooked with bacon, and that's really the only flavoring. They were cooked OK but kind of bland. Thistle draft house does these a lot better. The cheese sticks are a kind of thin crust pizza. The Krewe comes with pepperoni, bacon, and cheeses. It was not soft and it was not crisp--kind of in between in an awkward way, a bit chewy. I actually like Cici's cheese sticks better. These were OK, edible but not marvelous. But the calzone...that was fantastic. A generous portion that would easily feed two, with plenty of Italian sausage, pepperoni, and Canadian bacon. The outside was nice and crisp, with chewy crust inside. It came with marinara sauce for dipping, which was some of the best I've ever had. On the sweet side but with more depth of flavor than Papa John's. The cheese sticks came with that marinara also and it helped them a lot. This calzone brings the grease--there was a pretty good puddle of it on the platter. Some of us consider this a feature. The website advertises dessert, but they didn't have a dessert menu. I was looking for the bread pudding bites (fried bread pudding) but this location didn't have them. The root beer float was fine, and only $3 so it's a decent finish. Based on my experience with the calzone I'd be ready to give the pizza a try. There's a lot of different things on the menu (pastas, salads, burgers as well as pizza) but it's not consistent quality, at least not yet. The place is seriously pricy ($23 for a 13" pizza, most other menu items around $15 per person) so you want a hit the first time. The vibe is industrial--gray walls with no decorations, so not distracting. TVs are discreetly placed so you don't have them in your face if you don't want to watch. They have a full bar and craft brews. Will probably be a good place to go once they settle in their staff, which is challenging these days. read more

Came in on a Tuesday for a school event. Lots of beers on tap. Orders the cheese bread as an appetizer. The crust is think and crispy but chewy. There was lots of cheese and the sauce was far - not that fake red color. We had the Big Apple deep dish on recommendation. It had good spice and the crust was not too thick. Kids loved their meals. It's great place to get a deep dish pizza, very similar to what you would in Chicago but without all the violence. It's slightly pricey for the sizes they offer but the quality is there. The host at the front was amazing and friendly, was promptly seated and given recommendations. The waitress came not long after and took my order. I started with the Greek salad, it was average. Then I got the cheese bread sticks that include pepperoni and bacon, very good. Both food items took longer than expected to come out. But the service is great and it was worth the wait. Wow! Spring needed a family friendly pizza and brew restaurant. Let me start by talking about the delicious garlic knot rolls, they were pipping hot and enjoyable! The owner had a small soft opening that I was not aware but kindly invited. Menu items were complimentary in lieu of a donations if the guest wanted. He was actually donating money to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which is close to my heart. The Burrata Salad was a generous portion for two and better than Carrabbas. Pizza was superb and delicious! The service was great and the food was awesome too. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they taste so good and I also had a salad. I also ordered a pizza by the slice and that was very good. My other kids had wings and they said that the wings were good so I also had a drink and the bartender makes awesome drinks. The service was great and we got to keep the cups. The kids loved it so I get this place four stars. It's a New so I need to visit a couple more times so I can try more on the menu. But I'm looking forward to that and it's in a convenient location. read more

Rotolo's service is terrible! 2 weeks ago they had to comp our meals because the meals were so messed up and the service (waiter) was so terrible. They comped many tables that evening due to the issues blaming it on new staff and lack of. They had to make the pizza twice and then they brought out the wrong one because someone else took the one for our table. Service was painfully slow as we spent nearly 2 hours at the table due to the slow service. Tonight we thought we would give it another try since they gave us a coupon to use to come back. Guess what, yes, same excuse tonight. My wife didn't get her salad she ordered because "someone else took it". Never got refills on our drinks tonight. Service was extremely slow. Brussel sprouts were so hard you couldn't even cut them with the butter knife and it was like chewing mulch. Again tonight they were apologizing to other tables because of their lack of quality and service. They blamed it again on new employees. At the end we gave them the coupon and they told us in order to use them the order has to be over $40. We had 2 tickets, one for my wife and I and 1 for our son. They took it off our order which was $38 but not our sons but kept both coupons. No worries, keep the coupon because we will not be back to use it. I could tell you about the other times before these two experiences and how bad it was but I will spare you. I haven't posted negative before as I thought they would improve since they are new to the area and every new business deserves a chance. Chances are over.... We will not be back and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. I let the manager know I would post the reviews and her response was "have a good evening". At this rate, Rotolo's will not last long. read more

Looking for a new place and stumbled upon Rotolo's. Great atmosphere, TONS of choices and great food. The Chicago Cracker thin pizza is awesome and my go to! Hubs is the deep dish. Do yourself a favor and check out the menu before you come - it's huge! We started with the garlic bites which were delicious, but we will probably skip next time. The pasta dish came with a handful and we really didn't need it before the pizza. I LOVED the Figgy Piggy specialty pizza. My husband thought it was too sweet, but I really liked the balance between the sweet fig jelly and balsamic and the savory prosciutto and cheeses. My son loved the chicken Alfredo - it's a classic and it hit the spot for him. If you've read any of my other reviews, you'll know that the Mac & cheese was a total miss for my five year old (she was expecting Kraft Dinner), but we all thought it was pretty tasty! Awesome first experience here! When we came in we were promptly and warmly greeted. We were told there would be a 5-10 minute wait because they were a bit short staffed. No problem. We sat and looked at a menu for maybe 5 minutes before being seated. Our waitress came over quickly and took our drink and appetizer order. Moments later the manager/assistant GM came over to introduce himself and brought us garlic Parmesan bites stating that he appreciated our patience and knew we'd be hungry so he'd started an order of bites for us on the house. He commented that he didn't recognize us and chatted with us for a bit when we stated this was our first visit. This is service done right! Our waitress, Acian, was phenomenal, frequently checking on us and always with a smile. I never would have known they were short staffed tonight if they hadn't told us. My side garden salad was fresh, a generous portion for $3, and included lots of veggies. We ordered The Krewe pizza and it was delicious. Just the right amount of spice and it came out piping hot! The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The music wasn't too loud and was a good variety. We'll definitely be back to try even more yummy dishes and pizza in the future. Delicious! They have a great variety of appetizers, wife, and I really liked the truffle fries. I think the pizza is out of this world. The housemaid crust and sauce really sets it apart from the "others". Very attentive wait staff as well. It was better than the prior benchmark of certain pizza/brewery pubs that I've dined out in Colorado. Of course there were no mountains to look at but we enjoyed the atmosphere anyway. My boyfriend and I are pizza lovers to the core. We try new restaurants in the Spring TX area every chance we get. Tonight we tried Rotolo's. We give the overall experience three stars and none of the stars are for the food. The service was great, everyone was sweet and the food came out fast. The burrata salad was NOT good. Plain arugula with 3 chunks of canned tomato, sweet balsamic glaze was enjoyable, shredded Parmesan, and 2 large balls of plain burrata. Overall not good. The calamari was fried in a smooth batter and covered with a sweet chili glaze....it was really weird to have it at a pizza place. The flavors didn't go well with anything. The pizza we got was just regular cheese and it was just a step above buffet quality pizza..... Really regret coming here! Should have just gotten a take home pizza kit from HEB. read more

Muffaletta was very good as well. We also had cheese sticks (looked different from the typical so it threw us off...but was very good.) Walking in it doesn't look like much but it is a quaint cozy modern place. Very nice decor. Food was amazing with fresh ingredients. My shrimp and pasta was served in a skillet and the sauce was amazing. The service was impecable. The hostess was super nice and sweet and the waitress was on point. Kids loved the food. So I've had the Bacon Mac and Cheese several times and it's to freakin die for. so goooooood! You definitely need to try it! I don't know what it is about their pizza but it is honest to God the best pizza I've had. I've been here twice this week already. the staff is very friendly as well, very helpful with explain their food, which is good because their food is different and amazing! Tyler is very knowledgeable about everything they have! The way they show case it is awesome. Some of the meals come to you in the pan it was cooked, which is so cool. Rotolo's Craft and crust has a modern and warm look. One side looks good for a cozy low dimmed date. On the other side is a great sized bar with beer and cocktail selections and if you need to watch the Aggies or Texans they got you covered.There's also a patio! I had the garlic Parmesan bites- so soft, smelled good, and savory. I could have kept eating them like popcorn! Also had the garden salad, big fresh bowl of greens. The main course was was amazing! The BIG apple and the Italian Club deep dish! They did not disappoint. It was my first deep dish! The sauce was delicious and the crust was just as good. We had the pleasure of hearing from the owner. Great guy with a great heart and part of the proceeds go to organizations in need or the community. Good food but bad customer service it just seemed understaffed our waiter was also bartending and managing the host station on a Sunday around 4 you think they would have more than one person working, other than that everything was great apart from some tables that were left dirty around us the entire time we were there because of the lack of staff. read more

The pizzas were extremely small for the prices, but I went anyway because I thought the quality of the food would make up for it but the quality was lackluster. Too many sausages stacked on top of each other in the deep dish pizza and the 13" meat lovers was just basic. The sweet heat wings and cheese bread were good though. Unfortunately, this ended up being a disappointment. Weirdly enough they were out of some easy basics, which could probably have been picked up across the street at the HEB! I asked for lemons for my water, none came. When I asked again he said they were out. Instead of telling me that or bringing me an alternative (limes), I had to hunt him down to find out & then ask if they had limes. Our food came out after a while, except my FIL's. They told him they were out of buns. It was about 12:15pm. Both my truffle mushroom burger & my FIL's bbq burger minus the bun came out over cooked. Like slightly burnt & hockey puck dense. I think the taste of it would have been good if not for that. My sister in law's burger was not overcooked. My little side salad was good & any pizzas the table got seemed to be fine. The beer was another matter. I don't drink but my brother in law & husband both had to dump their individual house selections & go with known brands. I've never seen them not finish one before. lol. Overall management was responsive to our issues so I gave them an extra star. The manager explained part of their issue was they were understaffed in the kitchen. I'm not sure how you open out of basics like enough buns & are out by early afternoon. Seems like someone ought to have been at HEB bright & early.
