Bill will tell you he cannot work on sinks/faucets that are sold at Home Depot or Lowe's. That's all well and fine I guess but you'll likely have to pay one of the higher service call fees charged in missoula just to find this out! He left us with two choices, told us he could replace the hose if we ordered it (plus $190 for a second service call from Bill) or BUY a whole new faucet fixture from a brand that he would work on AND pay for another $190 for a service call. Honestly if he and his staff would have asked us some basic questions over the phone we could have ordered the part and installed it in one call. Before leaving this review I called and asked to speak with bill to see if he could come out to install the new hose (big mistake) and to offer him some customer feedback and a chance to resolve this problem. He called my phone and preceded to interrupt me as I was explaining my concerns and went off on a profanity laden rampage telling me to: "Come find him if you don't like his services" and to "go fix the f***king thing yourself" and then threatened me with harassment if I continued to contact him or his company, wow. Bill's a really rude/tough guy on the phone apparently, and if you read other reviews this isn't an isolated incident! Bill might have the worst customer service and staff that I have experienced in years. Do yourselves a favor and call someone (anyone) else! Bill doesn't need your hard earned money, choose one of the other myriad of options for plumbing and heating services in Missoula.

I ok'd $225 for the work, which seemed high to me, but I was in a bind. The work took 15 minutes. Then, the plumber told me the $95 dispatch fee would be added to that amount. I was stunned. For most companies, the dispatch fee becomes part of the service cost if you go ahead and choose to have the work done. $320 for 15 minutes onsite? The property was only about 15 minutes away from Garden City's headquarters! Oh, well, the plumber applied a coupon that dropped the bill by $25. So $295 for a 15-minute job snaking a sink. I've regularly used Garden City, but I won't use them again. UPDATE: Garden City replied to my Google review and invited me to talk. I sent an email to the company saying I'd be glad to receive their phone call, noting that they have my number on file. Probably I put it in the email, too. I can't recall because that was more than six months ago. No one has called. I think that lack of contact speaks to the sincerity of the reply posted to that review.

My brother contacted Axil and described to Jason, the owner, what was needing to be done to finish installing the AC unit. Jason agreed to do the job at $380.00 (with pulling permit). Jason came over the first time and belittled the work that was done by Thomas Plumbing for our furnace and stated they wouldn't pass as well as the placement of the AC unit. I also needed to pull a permit for the electrical before he would even consider starting the project. He continued to say that if he were to do the work fixing "all this shit" (I quote you) it will bump the original price up and up and up. I declined, told him I would pull the permit and move the AC unit to the exact spot he told me to put it. In front of the window. He told me "I will get you in whenever you are ready. Weekends, after hours, whenever! I know we are booked out 2.5 weeks and you already waited 2 weeks to get this done." (I'm thinking wow, that's customer service! -- as you'll see later...he lied.) He went on his merry way... mind you, they were 45 minutes late to this appointment and didn't call to tell me he was going to be late. I lost 4 hours of work that day. We fixed the problem within a few days and when I called to let Ray, the other owner, know that I was ready for them to come over, he said, it will be 2.5 weeks for the next appointment. Then talking to Jason, he concurred... (WOW, I'M GLAD YOU LIED EARLIER!) We made the appointment for them to come back in 2.5 weeks. I pulled the electrical permit, AC was in the exact spot in which Jason told me to put it. When D-day came, I again, took 4 hours off of work to get this done. Appointment was set up for 9a, when 10a rolled around I called Axil asking where they were. Ray said the first job was taking longer than expected. (Wow thanks for the courtesy call, I could have been working from 7:30 to until they called). Finally, 1 hour and 45 minutes late, they show up. Jason goes and looks at the unit again and lost it. He said that he is not going to put his name on this "shit show" of a job. Electrical was done wrong (mind you, I have a permit and it's getting inspected, not his problem!) AC unit was in the wrong spot. I stopped him there and told him it was EXACTLY where he told me to put it and if he wanted it somewhere else, he should have said so. He turned to me and said, "This is not a $380.00 project, if I do what I have to do, it will be over $1000.00. I don't have time for this SHIT, we are not doing this job, call someone else and we are leaving." (Here I am thinking, damn, his time is worth gold!) He continued around the side of the house in which I have my gate locked. I told him he will need to go through the front of the house because it's locked. They went through the front of the house and when leaving slammed my front screen door. (It doesn't work properly anymore) -- now take a moment to let that sink in -- I am paying this person to do a job in which he quoted me a price. He not only went back on his price, he swore multiple times at me and then slammed my door on his way out. How can anyone think about hiring a "professional", like that? I called the inspector, they came and inspected the furnace in which Thomas Plumbing had installed and guess what... it passed with flying colors. (Even though Axil said it wouldn't, I even have the pretty green tag to prove it.) The inspector was not there to inspect the electrical or the AC unit because the AC unit still needs to be finished but we did ask her questions on it. She said if we really wanted to, we could move the AC unit 6 inches closer to the gas valve but we don't have to and only thing she wanted us to do was label the breaker for the AC unit in regards to the electrical. The AC unit was installed by another company, works amazing! Took the guy 4 hours to do and I'm still waiting on the bill but I'm thinking it is no where near $1000.00! Will came and took a look at the situation, sent us a quote and we scheduled a time that was mutually agreeable. He was very methodical and purposeful when removing and replacing the pipes. This process took about a week to complete and we were only without water for one day. Please know that a plumber and a pipe fitter are different and Will is a pipe-fitter and truly gifted in his craft. Many Montanans live under the rule "leave no trace" and Will did just that. He removed and disposed of all of the old pipes and cleaned up after the job was done. If you are looking for someone who is meticulous, Will is your guy!
