Dan is the man! Picture this. Your teenage daughter has carelessly snapped off the key in the lock on our door panels of our RV, 1500 miles from home. It's a Saturday. Everyone is closed, very expensive or not very accommodating or capable. Locked myself out of my apartment on Friday of Memorial Day Weekend at 5pm and everyone with a spare was out of town, including the apartment manager. I called Lord & Jackson's to see how much it would cost out of my own pocket to help out a family in crisis who had locked their keys in their van (in which they were living for the next 2 nights until they were approved for housing placement). I called Dan to help with a lock for which I lost the key. He was absolutely the best person to call. The lock gave him a hard time, but he was so tenacious it was impressive. In fact, I heard him answer his phone a few times while working on it, turning down jobs and referring other locksmiths since he was unavailable. I have never locked myself out of my house before and when I did it was midnight on a Saturday night. The man was at my place in 15 minutes and let me in in under a minute. He was very nice. It was expensive, but it was really off hours. The following night I go to unlock my door with the key and the key wouldn't work. I called again and two men came this time. They let me in and took apart my locks and explained to what they thought was happening. Both of the men were very nice and understanding of the situation I was in. If I somehow get locked out again I will defiantly call Lord and Jackson. read more
